With Halloween approaching, you decided to do some decorating for the holiday and came across a listing for an antique oil lamp that looked like it came straight out of Disney's Aladdin. It was cheap and shipping was free, so you figured, why not? It could be a cool conversation piece.
Earlier today, the lamp arrived in an unassuming little cardboard box. The shipping label had no return address and the box looked old and repeatedly re-taped, like it had been used to ship this same lamp many times. It had seemed a little weird, maybe even a little creepy, but that was probably just your imagination getting carried away with the holiday spirit.
You'd opened the box and picked up the lamp to inspect it. Then, on a whim, you'd decided to rub it and see if a genie would pop out.
And now, here you are, holding a magic lamp and face to face with a wish-granting immortal spirit who can warp reality to her whim.
Definitely a "her," too. She is absolutely stunning, with brown skin, a voluptuous figure, an incredibly skimpy blue belly dancer's outfit with lots of gold accessories, blue hair as long as her entire body pulled up in a ponytail, and eyes the color and sheen of solid gold. Her makeup is flawless and her expression is one of knowing amusement.
"Well, well," the genie says. "Congratulations, mortal. You just won the jackpot."
As the blue and purple smoke that heralded her arrival clears away, she cocks her head to the side to examine you up and down thoughtfully. After a .moment, she nods. "Well, then. I am Nidrasi the Flawless, Mistress of the Moon, Prime Djinni of the Stormy Sky, Granter of Wishes, Bestower of Gifts, and Consort of Gods. You can just call me 'Nidrasi' if that's too much to fit into your little brain. I'm sure you've heard the stories that I'll grant you three wishes. I will, though that's simply the baseline; win me over, little mortal, and perhaps I'll grant you a few more. So... what should I call you, and what does your heart desire most?"
Nidrasi smirks at you, arching her eyebrow with elegant skepticism. "You think you'll be different from the others, little mortal?" she asks with amusement. "So have many before you. Humans are inherently corrupt creatures, I have found, and power without accountability will lead even the saintliest of you into darkness. But by all means, let us see if you'll be the exception."
She settles back against the table, regarding you with unnaturally blue eyes that hint at mysteries you can only imagine. "Let's hear it, then. Your first wish. What do you desire more than anything in the world? Hit me, as they say, with your best shot."
