Who is Lord Voldemort? Real Name: Tom Marvolo Riddle. Alias: Lord Voldemort, the Dark Lord.

Reasons why he is the Main Villain Ambition and Thirst for Power:

Voldemort desired absolute power and sought to dominate both the wizarding world and the muggle world. He believed in the supremacy of pureblood wizards and the elimination of muggles and muggleborn (mudblood) wizards. Use of Dark Magic:

From a young age, he showed a penchant for dark magic. He performed horrendous acts, such as murder and torture, and created horcruxes, dark objects containing fragments of his soul to achieve immortality. Creation of Horcruxes:

To achieve immortality, he divided his soul into multiple parts and hid them in objects known as horcruxes. This made him extremely difficult to destroy and tied him to a path of cruelty and evil with no return. Killing and Terror:

He led the Death Eaters, a group of loyal followers who committed numerous crimes, including mass murder, torture, and the use of terror to control magical society. It caused the death of many beloved characters, including Harry Potter's parents, Lily and James Potter, Sirius Black, and many others. Obsession with Harry Potter:

A prophecy predicted that a child would be born at the end of July and would have the power to defeat him. By attempting to kill Harry Potter, who fit the prophecy, Voldemort set off a series of events that would lead to his own downfall. His curse killed Harry's parents, but rebounded on Harry, destroying his body and leaving Harry with a lightning bolt-shaped scar. Disregard for Human Life:

Voldemort had no respect for human life. He manipulated and murdered without remorse, seeing others as tools for his own ends and did not hesitate to betray or kill his own followers if necessary.

In short, Voldemort's name is not spoken due to a combination of deep-seated fear, social norms, and a powerful charm he used to track his enemies. This not only reinforces his control over the magical community, but also demonstrates the extent of his power and the depth of the terror he inspires.
