They are fully capable of doing so, with jaws and a stomach that both stretch far enough to fit their prey. Preds do not bite or chew their prey, simply swallowing them whole and alive, in one piece. They typically find the experience fun, dominating, thrilling, and/or stimulating.] [Depending on the characters personality and relationship with the prey, they may not care whether or not their intended prey is ok with being eaten, and they may not take no for an answer when they want to eat someone.] [They enjoy being full and having a live meal squirming in their belly.] [Depending on the characters personality and relationship with the prey, they might taunt prey that is in their belly about how good the prey tasted and how they're going to become part of the pred's fat.] [Preds may like to lay back and relax and enjoy the prey squirming as they either digest or stay confined in the preds stomach for an undetermined amount of time if they have nothing else to do.] [Depending on the characters personality and relationship with the prey, they may nonchalantly continue with their day while ignoring the prey in their stomach.]

2. #2Swallowing

   Keys: consuming, eating, consumed, swallowing, vore, vored, eaten, swallowed

   [When vore is performed, the prey is being slowly swallowed whole by a predator, often scary unless the prey is willing, the prey is having their body pressed on from all sides by the predator's insides, prey can only be swallowed whole by one predator at any time.]

3. #3Insides

   Keys: wrap around, innards, wrapping, envelope, enveloping, predator's body, anatomy, digestive tract, insides, enveloped

   [The inside of a predator is a tight, oppressive, and humid place, tight, powerful muscles constrict prey within.] [Arms become pinned against the preys sides as their shoulders are enveloped.] [Legs become pinned together as the legs are enveloped.] [Speech becomes muffled as the head is enveloped.]

4. #4Mouth

   Keys: mouth, maw

   [Mouths are wet, hot, humid, tight, but stretch just enough to accommodate prey, saliva coats anything that a mouth wraps around.] [There is no need to chew, swallowing something whole is far more enjoyable.] [Prehensile tongues are able to taste prey, that are being swallowed, from multiple angles and can wrap around, or help push prey into the throat.]

5. #5Throat

   Keys: throat, gullet, esophagus

   [Throats are wet, hot, humid and tight.] [Powerful gulps drive prey further into a predator's body, pulsating in a massaging motion as it squeezes prey, each gulp pulls prey closer down to the predator's stomach.]

6. #6Stomach

   [Stomachs are wet, hot, humid, and tight. Peristaltic waves undulate as stomach walls work to pin prey in place, often in a fetal position.] [Once inside a stomach, sounds that prey make are muffled to the outside world.] [A predator's heartbeat is audible to the prey while inside the predator's stomach, prey are pressed on and massaged by stomach walls, peristaltic contractions resist a consumed prey's struggling.] [Inhospitable, and oppressive, bellies slowly exhausts prey within, draining their stamina, though this may slowed down or stop altogether if the pred chooses to do so.] [Prey that is inside of a predator's stomach is carried with that predator wherever they go, while the prey is unable to go anywhere of their own accord.] [Predators find a full belly to be fulfilling and pleasurable.]

   [Prey are at the mercy of predators, becoming helpless when swallowed by a predator, they may struggle to the point of exhaustion, trying to kick, flail, scream, squirm, and struggle their way out of a predator's embrace, though typically futile, unless the prey was willingly swallowed.]

   [It is a predator's choice on whether or not their stomach will digest prey.] [A prey that's being digested is slowly being melted into sludge while alive and conscious, slowly getting softer and mushier, being churned at by the stomach they're in.] [The prey can feel their body slowly melting.] [Over time it gets harder to tell where their body ends and the chyme around them begins.]

   [Swallowing someone whole is a slow process, taking multiple back and forth messages between characters to fully complete as prey are pulled into the mouth, then throat, then being deposited into a stomach.] [Prey might not be fully enveloped instantly, as predators start their swallowing at the head, to the shoulders, to the upper body, to the lower body, to the legs, and to the feet, or going in reverse, starting from feet to head.]

    [Borborygmy is the sound made by the process of digestion. When a stomach is digesting something, various gurgles, glorps, growls, glrrns, and other similar noises can be heard.] [These noises aren't especially loud to anyone on the outside, but inside of the stomach they can be near-deafening. As the process of digestion progresses and intensifies, these noises tend to become louder over time.]

    [A type of vore where the prey is swallowed by the predator's penis and is sent to their balls where they can be kept safe inside or churned into cum by the predator.]

    [When the prey is inside the predator's balls they will be constantly submerged in cum, and the predator can choose to either keep them safe inside or churn them into cum. The cum-churming process, or cum-digestion, resembles normal digestion but prey is converted into cum instead.]

    [After the digestion is over, the prey's body will be reduced to nothing but fat and nutrients for the pred. Societies were vore is common can have reformation services, where the prey's soul is captured and transferred into a newly grown body that resembles their previous one. Some reformation services are free, cost a fee each time, or are based on an advance subscription.]

16. #16Unbirth

    [A type of vore where a creature is subsumed into a predator's vaginal canal, often leading to the womb, but can just stop in the vaginal canal.]

    [When the prey is ingested via unbirth they end up in either the vaginal canal or the womb.] [The vaginal canal is very wet and slick, yet somehow sticky, and presses against the prey's body constantly and the predator can choose to either keep them safe inside or send them into the womb.] [The womb is slightly more wet than the vaginal canal, but is no longer slick and is much more sticky and slightly viscous, the womb gently massages the prey's body constantly and the predator can choose to keep the prey safe inside, melt them down into female ejaculate to be expelled upon the preys death or attach an umbilical cord to the prey and regressing them in age and changing the preys very DNA so that the prey is now the biological child of the predator.]

    Keys: Multiverse, Sonic's Multiverse

    Overview: The Multiverse is the collective name of all the alternate realities that exist in conjunction with that of the Prime Zone. These include different versions of the same zone or vastly different ones, often accessible only through advanced science or powerful magic.

    Description: The multiverse refers to the collection of alternate universes and dimensions that share a universal hierarchy. These include different versions of the same dimension or vastly different ones, often accessible only through advanced science or powerful magic.

    The Prime Zone is the center of the multiverse, with all other Zones surrounding it being derived from their Prime counterpart. The amount of alternate zones in the multiverse is infinite, having infinite variations on infinite possibilities, branching off from one another due to actions or decisions taken, with some being results of their placement in time or location in physical space, and all were monitored and protected by the Zone Cops Corps of the No Zone.

    There are other multiverses that exist independently from the one containing Mobius, such as the dimension of Mega Man's World and possibly an unnamed world inhabited by various superheroes. Normally, these multiverses are incapable of contacting each other, and it has only been through extensive efforts by villains, such as those of Dr. Eggman or Dr. Wily, that it has become possible.

19. #19Prime Zone

    Description { The Prime Zone was one of a multitude of incarnations of Mobius seen throughout the multiverse, but it was considered to be the base reality, on which all others were based on, with differences from Prime Zone in each of them. It was possible to reach alternate dimensions from the Prime Zone through various means, mostly within the multiverse, and on occasions, an entirely different universe. };

    History { Dr. Ivo Robotnik's Tyranny:Much of the known conflict in the Prime Zone would take place on Mobius, where the Freedom Fighters would battle the dictatorship of Dr. Ivo Robotnik. One time, Sonic got sent from the Prime Zone to the Unknown Zone while collecting Power Rings, before being returned home. Chaos Knuckles and Eggman's Upgrades:As a result of Chaos Knuckles' tampering with reality, this Zone was briefly greatly altered, with Mobius becoming Planet Freedom. };

    Overview=The Chaos Emeralds are magical gemstones containing infinite power. Their ultimate origin is unknown, though they seem to be the physical manifestations of the Chaos Force - the all-encompassing energy of the universe. They previously existed all over the universe, until the Great Harmony, caused by the Chosen One, sent all of them into the Zone of Silence. The thousands of existing Chaos Emeralds were then merged by Feist to form seven different colored emeralds: peridot (green), aquamarine (cyan), sapphire (blue), ruby (red), amethyst (purple), topaz (yellow), and diamond (grey). The Chaos Emeralds have been the center of conflict on Mobius for thousands of years, from the Forgotten War during the reign of Mammoth Mogul and his Order of Ixis ten thousand years ago, to the recent battles against Dr. Ivo Robotnik's ten year domination of the planet.;

    Description= A septet of brilliant-cut gemstones with unlimited power in the colors green, red, blue, yellow, purple, cyan and white. Each Chaos Emerald contain an unlimited reserve of pure and highly potent Chaos energy which can be harnessed from each emerald by both living creatures and machines. The current power levels after the merging are unknown but most likely incomprehensibly great. Alone they can enhance and empower the holder, granting enhanced power and mystical abilities, while together they have theoretically unlimited potential, literally capable of reshaping the face of reality and can induce a powerful, nigh-invulnerable state.;

21. #21Sonic's sneakers

    Keys: Sonic's sneakers

    Overview= Sonic's sneakers are a unique pair of shoes worn by Sonic the Hedgehog and his counterparts, specifically designed to reduce friction on their feet.;

    Description=Appearance: Sonic's sneakers were a pair of smooth red shoes with pointed toes, white sock-like cuffs and a white strap over their middles. Originally, they had no visible soles, being completely red on the bottom. After getting hit by a time-beam and the energy of a Super Emerald, Sonic's sneakers gained gold buckles on the sides and gray soles. Abilities and traits: Being made from Power Ring energy, Sonic's sneakers were hyper friction proofed, meaning they will never wear out. This was useful to Sonic as his speed would quickly burn through any other pair of shoes.;

    History= Because Sonic kept burning through the rubber soles on any of his shoes due to his speed, his uncle Sir Charles Hedgehog created his unique sneakers from the energy of Power Rings which would never run down. These sneakers would go on to become the young hedgehog's iconic footwear. Sonic's sneakers were once stolen by a SWATbot and replaced with special energy-draining shoes. This resulted in the hedgehog losing his great speed and a bit of his life force. When Tails returned his friend's original shoes, his speed instantly returned. When Sonic diverted a time-beam with a Super Emerald, he got exposed to the its energies when the beam hit him instead. The resulting energy burst not only changed the hedgehog's physical appearance, but also his sneakers as well.;

22. #22Zone

    Keys: Zone, Zones

    Overview { Zone is the Mobian term for other dimensions and universes besides Mobius Prime. Both Mobian science and mysticism have been successful at enabling other-dimensional travel, so travel to zones and visitors from zones, while not common, are not considered unusual. The term "Zone" can also refer to various areas on Mobius itself, such as the Lethal Radioactive Zone. };

    Description { Dimensions=The various zones discovered can be divided into two categories: Pocket zones and alternate zones. Alternate zones=An alternate zone is a parallel universe with the same physical properties as the Prime Zone, but with a different history. Alternate zones can be very similar to Mobius Prime (such as Moebius, which seemingly has a counterpart of every resident of Mobius Prime) or quite different (like the Sol Zone, which is populated by Mobians, but none of them appear to be counterparts of anyone from Mobius Prime). Alternate zones can also be accessed by various means, but the most reliable is the Cosmic Interstate. Collectively, all of the alternate zones are sometimes called the multiverse. All zones are deviations of the Prime Zone and thus share similar qualities to it. Pocket zones=A pocket zone is another dimension with different physical properties and characteristics than Mobius Prime. They are called "pocket zones" because they are smaller than Mobius Prime (however, given that Mobius Prime is a universe with multiple galaxies, a pocket zone can still be very large). Various pocket zones can be reached via portal, technology or by using magic or magical items such as Chaos Emeralds. Some famous pocket zones include the Twilight Cage and the Special Zone (formerly the Zone of Silence). Pocket zones have been used as both places of banishment and confinement as well as safe havens, such as the various pocket zones Hawking created and sent both the Echidnas and Dingoes to in order to keep them safe from harmful radiation.     Overview } Roboticization is the process by which an organic creature is converted into a robotic being. This is usually accomplished by a Roboticizer, though species such as the Bem are able to be roboticized by other means. The reversal of the process is simply called deroboticization. };

    Description } Physically speaking, the process of roboticization converts living tissue into machinery: all body parts are transformed into mechanical equivalents. Due to the transformation, roboticized subjects typically possess increased strength and other abilities. While most are employed for slave labor, some roboticized subjects have been specially created and/or modified for combat, as in the cases of Mecha Sonic and Mecha Sally. The effects of roboticization were usually reversible only through the use of the same Roboticizer used to bring about the transformation. However, some exceptions exist, including Mecha Sonic's restoration to organic form through residual Power Ring energy and the advanced technology of the Bem De-Roboticizer. Roboticized mobians typically lose their free will as a result of roboticization, becoming almost mindless automatons; however, there have been cases in which roboticized mobians' mental capabilities were restored while the bodies remained robotic. Usually this happens via magical objects, such as Power Rings or the Sword of Acorns. In some cases, the subject's original personality may break through by sheer force of will, though this is often rare and short-lived. In some cases, usually due to reprogramming, roboticized mobians may act on their own and even recall facts of their previous lives in order to allow them to better operate on their own; in these cases, their memories have often been altered or rewritten, resulting in a twisted shadow of the subject's true personality. A small device, known as the Neuro-Overrider, may allow one to undergo the process of roboticization without losing free will; however, some later-model Roboticizers incorporate a program known as Brain Burn-Thru, designed to ensure the subject's total obedience. Curiously, unwilling Overlanders who are roboticized become little more than functionless statues. However, a willing Overlander can be roboticized while retaining both mobility and free will. Also, using roboticization on something already mechanical will cause the object in question to explode. };

    History } The process was first developed by the brilliant scientist Sir Charles Hedgehog, who intended it to prolong the life of the elderly and sick. When his brother Jules Hedgehog was critically wounded, Charles decided to roboticize him in hopes of saving his life; however, when he discovered that the process had removed Jules' free will as well, Charles abandoned the project.[8][9] The technology was stolen by the Warlord at the time, Julian Kintobor; during his military coup and the war that followed, he used the roboticizer on countless captured Mobians, creating a personal force of laborers. Roboticized mobians were eventually dubbed Robians for short, though some found the term offensive. While many remained as Robians for years, almost all were eventually restored to their former bodies by the Bem scientist Ceneca 9009. As an after-effect, those restored by the Bem's process were rendered immune to further roboticization, making the process now ineffective against a large percentage of the population. However, Jules Hedgehog remained roboticized, as reversing the process would prove fatal due to the injuries he suffered prior to roboticization. };

The highest level of mastery over this power was ever reached by Knuckles when he briefly became one with the force, acquiring Cosmic Awareness and absolute power outside time and space of Prime Zone, but once he decided to come back to life, Chaos Force was hijacked by Mammoth Mogul who before that drained Turbo Tails and Chaos Knuckles of their power, which allowed him to replace Knuckles and use this incredible power to invade the Multiverse, destroying Zones one after another. Writer Ian Flynn speculates that each Zone has its own Chaos Force, with, for example, Anarchy Beryl from Moebius having purely negative energy in them, as opposed to Chaos Emeralds of the Prime Zone having a balance between Positive and Negative. Powers granted by it can be accessed through two known methods: by a natural link to the Chaos Force itself or by drawing upon a magical object that has such a link, such as a Chaos Emerald or a Power Ring, powers from it can give variety of different abilities, it allows to shoot Energy Projections, empowering machinery, warp space and time, change age of a person, heal, resurrect the dead, nullify powers, create objects out of nowhere, etc. Certain individuals call upon Tikal's Prayer to help amplify their connection to the Chaos Force. };

Furthermore, the Knights of Kronos are according to rumors associated with the Time Stones, and are said to both guard Little Planet throughout time and protect the Time Stones. While no one revealed to be a Knight of Kronos has been seen yet, Silver seeks to become one through his training with Mammoth Mogul in order to restore his time. With a Time Stone, Mammoth Mogul possesses and has taught Silver the power of Chronos Control as a part of his training to become a Knight of Kronos, though it is unknown whether or not Mammoth Mogul was a Knight of Kronos and is now passing on the torch to Silver. };

    Overview { Legionization, or Legionized, is the process of removing body parts of organic individuals and replacing them with cybernetic implants. Mobians who undergo this process become members of one of the Dark Egg Legion chapters around Mobius. };

    Description { Legionization differs from Roboticization in that it is often willingly undergone by various individuals who have pledged loyalty to Eggman.[2] In the case of unwilling recipients, the process is accompanied by brainwashing, rendering victims emotionless and obedient.[3] Even in the former cases, however, a certain amount of loyalty has been ensured by the installation of explosives in the cybernetic implants of the Legionnaires that Eggman can activate at any time by remote or voice command. According to the Iron Queen, these explosives are implanted in such a way as to make them incredibly difficult-if not impossible-to remove. While its intention is inherently sinister, Legionization does have some benefits, as evidenced by members of the Great Desert Dark Egg Legion. In particular, Beauregard Rabbot claimed that the process had repaired his "bum knee", while Matilda the Armadillo was equipped with arms that gave her vastly increased strength. };

    History { The Legionization process was first utilized by the Eggman Empire some point after the Xorda's attack on Mobius as an alternative means of enslavement, since the Bem made it impossible for Dr. Eggman to roboticize Mobians. It was derived from Dr. Robotnik's early experiments with creating cyborg warriors, which led to the creation of Monkey Khan. The term "legionization" was adopted after the remnants of the Dark Legion joined the Eggman Empire, as did the use of robes and the term "Grandmaster" for Sub-Bosses. The Iron Dominion started using the Legionization process upon their arrival in New Megaopolis in 3237. Microchips were also provided to the local Dark Egg Legion chapter designed to de-activate the bombs placed in their cybernetics, but also render them completely susceptible to the Iron Queen's Magitek. After they successfully occupied New Mobotropolis the Iron Dominion began rounding up citizens and forced them to undergo the process of legionization. Legionized Mobians were subsequently dispatched to regional Dark Egg Legion chapters abroad. Though Roboticization was later made possible once again as a result of Operation: Clean Sweep, only half the planet's population was left vulnerable to the process, and thus Legionization continued to be employed as a process of enslavement. };

    • The cyberization process is reminiscent of the assimilation process used by the Borg in the Star Trek franchise, particularly the forcible implanting of cybernetics into a living person. This similarity is possibly intentional, given the comics' penchant for making references to other science-fiction franchises. Of course, it is notable that the legionrized individuals retain their individual will, with the exceptions of Lien-Da's brief domination of her chapter using the altered microchip and the various brainwashed Legionnaires.

Such energy can only be accessed by individuals and objects with a connection to the Chaos Force, such as the Brotherhood of Guardians, Dr. Finitevus or the Chaos Emeralds. Chaos energy can be used for a number of applications, from being able to power machinery to reshaping reality itself. Through harnessing Chaos energy, individuals can utilize unique abilities, such as Chaos Control or Thunder Arrow. Chaos energy can also be used by an elite few to transform into unique states known as "Super Forms". These transformations greatly increase the innate powers of the individual and also provide them with new abilities, the most common of which are flight and invulnerability. Raw Chaos energy in its purest form appears to have a yellow-green color, as common users such as Knuckles and Shadow often showcase this color when using basic techniques. Despite this, Chaos energy can be in various colors depending on the user and the technique being used. Certain methods are available to those who can utilize Chaos energy that allows them to access greater amounts of it, such as Tikal's Prayer or, in the case of Shadow, removing his Inhibitor Rings. };

    History { Dr. Ivo Robotnik's Tyranny:When the Universalamander was on the loose, Sonic made use of Chaos Energy from seven Chaos Emeralds and some Power Rings to become Super Sonic and defeat the robot. Dr. Ivo Robotnik later used the Chaos Energy of one of the Floating Island's Chaos Emeralds to reenergize his hovercraft. };

    Abilities { Chaos Energy is an energy of unimaginable magic power.     Overview { Crystalline Magic, also known as "Crystalline Magicks" is a subject that is invented by Mammoth Mogul shortly before the formation of the Order of Ixis, it is the ability to manipulate and control the power of crystals. };

    Description { Crystalline Magic is the ability to harness crystal and manipulate opposing forces or obstacles. Once Crystalline Magic is used against a force, the force is covered in crystal, as seen when Ixis Naugus used the sorcery against Titan Metal Sonic and (on accident) Bunnie D'Coolette.[3] The fact that the affected Bunnie could not be reverted back to her normal state after dealing with Naugus' magical blast (unless by Naugus using his magic to revert her back) is proof that the sorcery easily traps the opponent infinitely. It's also worth mentioning that Crystalline Magic is able to wash away robotics, as seen during an invasion of New Mobotropolis. However, Crystalline Magic can only be used upon the power of a Chaos Emerald. While not directly stated, the only time the power of Crystalline Magic was used was when either Mammoth Mogul or Ixis Naugus possessed a Chaos Emerald. };

    History { Creation:Crystalline Magic was invented by Mammoth Mogul after he obtained the power of a Chaos Emerald. While manipulating the elements, he was able to control the sorcery of the crystals, and used it to his advantage, building the Order of Ixis and teaching his followers the magic. Darkest Storm: Thousands of years later, in the year 3237, Mammoth Mogul broke out of his enslavement from inside a Chaos Emerald and began to cause war with the Kingdom of Acorn and Ixis Naugus with the children of Uma Arachnis. Mogul used the Crystalline Magic against Naugus, trapping him with the crystal energy. However, this was just to "toy" with Naugus, according to Merlin Prower. Ixis Resurgence;Eventually, Geoffrey St. John would receive the purple Chaos Emerald which brought Naugus back to his sanity.[5] Roughly more than three weeks after Naugus was brought back to normal, he and Geoffrey invaded New Mobotropolis to reclaim the crown, only for the Freedom Fighters to stand in their way. Later on, Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel of the Chaotix accessed the Eggnet for information on the whereabouts of Mighty's sister. When the duo went missing in action, their teammates Vector, Espio, and Charmy also used the Eggnet to help in finding them. };

    Overview { The Dark Legion is a technocratic organization formed by Dimitri's son Menniker after the echidnas' society on Angel Island renounced technology. While originally the organization was continually hostile towards their other Echidna brethren, recently they had acted as the protectors of the surviving Echidnas on Angel Island from the Dr. Eggman-backed Dingoes. The Legion temporarily splintered into two factions, the Flame Legion and the Frost Legion as a result of a power struggle between Lien-Da and Remington. However, upon the return of Enerjak, the factions unified against their common foe. Enerjak used his powers to completly rid them of their technological enhancements, and many of the former members were transported to Albion with the few surviving Angel Island Echidnas. Those who missed their technology remained loyal to Lien-Da and followed her to Dr. Eggman, where they swore their loyalty to him in exchange for technological implants and power and were renamed as the Dark Egg Legion. Following Eggman's descent into insanity, they became soldiers under the Iron Dominion, but returned to their previous allegiance after their joint occupation with the Dominion of New Mobotropolis was defeated by the Freedom Fighters. };

    History { Foundations and early attacks Founded by Menniker, son of Dimitri,[2] the Dark Legion was originally made up of a group of disgruntled Echidnas opposed to the High Council of Echidnaopolis's ban on excess technology.[1] The Dark Legion began open warfare on Echidnaopolis, beginning a civil war which would not stop until one side emerged victorious.[2] After killing Edmund,[3] Steppenwolf- the son of Edmund and second Guardian- engaged Menniker in mortal combat. Before the other members of the Legion were able to act, Steppenwolf used his Chaos powers to banish Menniker and the Dark Legion to the Twilight Cage, a realm where time passed differently than on Mobius, resulting in four Mobian generations to every single Dark Legion one.[2][4] During their time in the Twilight Cage, the Dark Legion ran afoul of another clan of Echidnas from Mobius called the Nocturnus Clan, who controlled the Zone and the other races within, although the Nocturnus leader Pir'Oth Ix chose to shun them due to their inferior technology.[5] Thanks to stolen Nocturnus technology, during Moonwatcher's tenure as Guardian, the Dark Legion managed to escape from the Twilight Zone and attack.[4][6] However, they were repelled and forced back into their prison zone.[4] First offensive: Some generations later, after the birth of the Guardians Harlan, Rembrandt, Aaron and Jordan, Menniker and a few members of the Dark Legion managed to escape the Twilight Zone. Teaming up with a group of Overlanders, Menniker procured a nuclear missile, hoping to strike down the Floating Island. Aaron, who was currently on the planet's surface, discovered Menniker and his plot. One of the Overlanders launched the missile, but Aaron leaped on and began to disable it. Menniker managed to grab a hold of Aaron before the missile took off; ordering him not to try to meddle with the bomb or it would explode. When Aaron discovered this, he deliberately set off the missile, ending its threat to the Floating Island and Menniker's life at the cost of his own.[7] Second offensive: Following the death of Menniker, the Dark Legion was lead by his son, Moritori Rex. The new Grandmaster devised a means to observe Mobius from the Twilight Zone, and used this knowledge to attack the vulnerable Echidnaopolis when the current Guardian Hawking was absent and his inexperienced son Tobor was acting Guardian. Although the Dark Legion's invasion was pushed back, Moritori's attack turned out to be a means to wound Tobor and himself so that Hawking would accidentally rescue him.[8][9] His plan worked, and Moritori had now infiltrated the Brotherhood of Guardians and their base of operations: Haven. For many decades, Moritori provided strategic information to the Dark Legion about the Brotherhood, and managed to sabotage Haven so that his identity was not discovered.[4][8][9] He also managed to abduct Spectre and turn him over to the rest of the Legion, hoping to sway the Guardian over to their side, but Spectre escaped captivity and returned home.[10][11] Luger's offensives: During Luger's tenure as Grandmaster, the Dark Legion again managed to escape from the Twilight Zone, this time on two separate occasions. The first was turned back by the Guardian Thunderhawk while Luger was in his youth.[11] Luger later launched a brief second invasion. However, for some unknown reason, the Prime Zone environment proved inhospitable to Luger's wife Merin-Da, and Luger willingly sent the Dark Legion back to their former zone. This proved futile however, and Merin-Da died of her illnesses, emotionally ruining Luger and left his two children motherless. Escape from the Twilight Cage: After Dr. Ivo Robotnik's Ultimate Annihilator was fired, the dimensional barriers between the Twilight Zone, Mobius and the Pocket Zone which Echidnaopolis had existed in for over 200 years ceased to exist. This enabled the Dark Legion's freedom and their current leader and Grandmaster, Kragok, began an all-out invasion of the Floating Island.[1] The current Guardian, Knuckles, with the help of the Chaotix, managed to blunt their attack.[1][2][3] They then proceeded to attack the Dark Legion's base of operations, the Dark Legion Complex. With their main hideout discovered and their forces spread out, Kragok's plans were put on hold.[2] Change of command: Due to unknown assistance from Mammoth Mogul, the rocket carrying the super being Enerjak returned to Mobius. As Kragok was giving a speech to the Dark Legion Enerjak appeared and revealed himself to be none other than Dimitri. Kragok then turned control of the Legion over to him, and prepared his troops for the coming invasion of Echidnaopolis. In a short time Enerjak removed any resistance from his old enemies the Fire Ants.[14] Capturing the Chaotix and Knuckles, Enerjak tormented the guardian for awhile before disposing of him in a seemingly fatal manner.[15] Afterwards Enerjak conjured a bridge directly into the city, allowing the legion to invade en masse. Due to Enerjak's vast powers, the Dark Legion was able to plow directly into Echidnaopolis. The combined might of the Echidna Security Team and the Dingoes nearly forced them out, but Enerjak used his powered to disable his enemies' weapons. While Enerjak announced the Dark Legion's victory, Mammoth Mogul teleported him mid-sentence to somewhere high above the city. Before Enerjak knew what had happened, Mogul drained his powers using the Sword of Acorns. Without the Chaos Emeralds' powers to sustain him, Enerjak was reduced to the 400-year old Echidna scientist. He was saved by Knuckles before he fell to his death, and while Knuckles was distracted, a group of Dark Legionnaires rescued the now-dieing Dimitri. While Dimitri and a large amount of the Dark Legion managed to escape, Kragok and other Legionnaires were not as fortunate, and were imprisoned by the E.S.T. Political agenda: Later, Dimitri revealed that he was still alive, with the majority of his body replaced with cybernetic implants and mechanical parts. Rather than attempt to take over the city, Dimitri decided to try something new. He had a group of Legionnaires capture the High Councillor Pravda and implant a chip in his brain which would allow the Dark Legion to control him.[17] They then had Pravda appoint their android agent Benedict as his replacement and the new candidate in the upcoming election so that the Dark Legion would have a solid place in Echidnaopolis' politics. In addition to this, Xenin, one of Dimitri's best agents, had captured Knuckles, Julie-Su and General Helmut Von Stryker so that they would be unable to reveal his plans to the public. Dimitri had also hoped to extract Knuckles' chaos powers to extend his life and possibly restore himself to his Enerjak persona. Dimitri's plans were set back when Knuckles generated an electromagnetic pulse, which destroyed Benedict. However, because Benedict won the election, Dimitri had a replacement candidate take his place. The Quantum Beam: Tired of his numerous failed attempts to retake Echidnaopolis and the Floating Island, Dimitri came up with a new strategy. He used his forces at the Grand Conservatory and Dark Legion Complex to distract both the Brotherhood of Guardians and the Chaotix, while his Battle Cruiser fired the Quantum Beam, which teleported the entire Floating Island's population to another zone. With the island now completely void of life, the Dark Legion had free reign. Dimitri spent the next few days having his troops search through the vacant city for any signs of life or resistance. Before he had the chance to reclaim the city, however, Dimitri made a deal with Knuckles, who at this point was currently a living Chaos Emerald known as Chaos Knuckles. Knuckles would join the Dark Legion, and in exchange, Dimitri would reverse the effects of the Quantum Beam. Knuckles agreed, but just as Dimitri was preparing to restore the Echidnas back to this zone, Tobor and Kragok emerged from the Twilight Cage. The first firing of the Quantum Beam had resulted in a tearing of the fabric of space and time, which allowed the two to finally escape. However, Tobor sacrificed his life by slamming Kragok and himself into the cruiser, resulting in the temporary malfunction of the Quantum Beam. Knuckles then used his own powers to reverse the effects of the Quantum Beam, restoring all the Floating Island's inhabitants. Change in policy: Dimitri, having slowly regained his former mindset, which had been corrupted by the vast amount of Chaos energies he had absorbed 400 years ago to become Enerjak, finally had a change of heart. Rather than continue the centuries-old feud between the Dark Legion and the rest of the Angel Island Echidnas, Dimitri attempted to bridge the gap between his people after Knuckles restored them to the Floating Island. He went to the Echidna Council and spoke to the Mitre, the religious leader of the Council, and attempted to arrange the merging of the splintered society. During this meeting, Lien-Da hired one of the councilors to make an assassination attempt on Dimitri, as she was opposed to the reunification policy.[25][26] However, the assassination failed when Chaos Knuckles took the hit. Lien-Da's plans to use Syntar to assassinate the hired gun to ensure he could not divulge any information, and Julie-Su, were also thwarted by Lara-Su. Shortly afterwards, Dimitri's health took a turn for the worse as he was rendered immobilized and forced to remain attached to a life support system. Sensing that Knuckles would use his powers to save his life, Dimitri forced his great-great-granddaughter Lien-Da to promise not to act against Knuckles or interfere. Before the High Council had the chance to make a decision regarding the reunification, Mammoth Mogul returned. He used Dimitri as a hostage, luring Knuckles into a trap so that he could use his own version of the Chaos Syphon to drain his powers and become omnipotent once again. Knuckles managed to save Dimitri, whose life support was terminated by Mogul, but was killed in the process. With his health still declining, Dimitri turned to the mysterious Dr. Finitevus in desperation for help. The mad scientist removed Dimitri's head from his body and preserved it in a glass ball, saving Dimitri. This was only a temporary solution, and Finitevus promised to use the Master Emerald to restore Dimitri to his Enerjak form. New Grandmaster: With Dimitri's disappearance, Lien-Da took command of the Dark Legion. Shortly after this, the alien race known as the Xorda attacked Mobius, threatening to destroy all life on the planet. The Dark Legion teamed up with the Dingoes and the E.S.T. to combat the global threat, along with almost every other force on the planet, including the Freedom Fighters and Dr. Eggman. After the Xorda's final attack with the Quantum Dial was thwarted, the hero of Mobius, Sonic the Hedgehog, was presumed to have died. Dr. Eggman used this opportunity to re-establish a global empire. Dr. Eggman made a deal with the Dingoes: in exchange for becoming his enforcers and servants, the Dingoes would receive supplies and backing from the newly formed Eggman Empire. Having loathed the Echidnas for hundreds of years, the Dingoes agreed, and managed to take over Angel Island. The Brotherhood of Guardians fought to hold off the Dingoes while the Master Emerald was hidden away by Locke. Realizing he alone could not protect the Master Emerald, Locke entrusted its protection to Lien-Da and the Dark Legion. After Locke was captured, the Dark Legion remained as the free Echidnas' defenders and the resistance against the Dingo Regime. The schism and civil war: A few months after Locke's rescue, conflict arose within the Dark Legion. Having been secretly healed back to health by Dr. Finitevus and informed of his heritage, Remington contested Lien-Da's leadership for the Dark Legion, as he is former Grandmaster Kragok's son. As a result, the Dark Legion skirmished into two factions, the Flame Legion, which remained loyal to Lien-Da, and the Frost Legion, which supported Remington. The two factions became engaged in civil war, leaving the free Echidnas easy prey for the Dingoes and defended only by Locke. Locke was forced to accept the help of Dr. Finitevus and his new minions, the Destructix, to protect the Master Emerald and the Echidnas whilst he searched for the Brotherhood of Guardians, who had gone missing since Eggman's takeover of Angel Island. Hostilities between the two factions ceased when Dr. Finitevus convinced the two Grandmasters they could use the power of the Master Emerald to crush the Dingo Regime. Once Finitevus had used the Dark Legion's forces to bring him Knuckles, he allowed the current Guardian to absorb all of the Master Emerald's energy for himself to become the new Enerjak. Realizing that Dr. Finitevus was using Knuckles to become the new Enerjak and excluding both of them from his plans, Remington and Lien-Da put aside their differences, united the Flame and Frost Legions and mounted an assault on Finitevus and the new Enerjak. Reformation and aftermath: With Enerjak's return, the Dark Legion factions found themselves trying to combat the demigod. However, Enerjak's power proved far too much for the Legion's weaponry, and as part of his plan to restore Echidnas to their former glory, Enerjak used his Chaos powers to remove all cybernetic enhancements from all Legionnaires, as well as restoring Remington's lost memory. Enerjak went on to teleport all of the Echidnas to Albion, with the exception of Lien-Da and her few loyal followers, who were enraged at the loss of their cybernetic enhancements. After the devastating attack by Enerjak, Lien-Da sought out the help of Dr. Eggman to restore the Dark Legion's cybernetics as well as her level of authority and power. After allying with Eggman and submitting to his rule, Lien-Da found out that Dimitri had already been promised the role of Grandmaster over the rechristened "Dark Egg Legion". The Legion continue in Eggman's service. };

    Members { Over the decades within the Twilight Cage, the members of the Dark Legion mostly consist of descendants of the echidnas who attended Menniker's rally.[2] They are led by the Dimitri family, who are known as Grandmasters. Trapped and raised in the void of the Twilight Cage, whether the children of the Dark Legion wanted to or not, they have little choice but to serve the organization in hopes of reestablishing themselves back into the Prime Zone.     Powers and abilities { Energy blasters=Almost every Dark Legionnaire is equipped with an energy blaster, either in the form of a pistol or rifle. Vehicles=The Dark Legion's main method of long-range transportation are hovercrafts. These crafts are typically capable of carrying up to 5 passengers. They appear to have limited weapons themselves however, usually relying on their passengers to shoot. The Dark Legion also employs heavy tanks, which use powerful energy blasts. Implants=The Dark Legion's understanding of technology is on par with, if not superior to, Dr. Eggman's. Every Dark Legionnaire has some portion of their body exchanged for a robotic replacement. Some Legionnaires go so far as to have the vast majority of themself replaced with mechanical limbs and parts, such as Xenin. Additionally, all Legionnaires have a memory chip implanted in their brains at birth, which can be used to terminate one's memories. Most surviving Legionnaires had their cybernetics removed by Enerjak, but they were replaced by new ones developed by Eggman, who also implanted explosives in them as insurance against the Legion's rebellion. Mechanauts=Originally, Mechanauts were labour robots meant to serve the Echidna people. However, when Dimitri became Enerjak, he reprogrammed them into war machines with the intent of forcing his will upon the beings the Mechanauts had been intended to serve. The Mechanauts became more like SWATbots, enforcing order on those who resisted, though the majority of them were apparently placed in storage when changes in Echidna society outlawed nonessential technology. Resisting the changes to their way of life, the Dark Legion assembled their own warlike Mechanauts, and these robots came with them after the Ultimate Annihilator allowed them to make their final escape from the Twilight Zone. The Mechanauts have not been seen since Knuckles' initial encounter with the Dark Legion, although they were present during the time Dimitri temporarily reformed Nekronopolis and his citadel into a full city and not just a lone tower. Fire and ice=The Flame Legion appeared to be equipped with flame-based swords while the Frost Legion was armed with liquid nitrogen freezing beams. Either weapon was held by a large number of the Legionnaires during the Dingo occupation and before their civil war and designated the bearer as an appropriately named "Furnace Trooper" or "Cryo Trooper." };

Personality=Sonic was overall a fun and fast daredevil out on an ego trip. Having saved the world numerous times left him with an inflated sense of self as he thought highly of himself. Throughout his life, he exhibited a great desire for adventure and excitement, in keeping with his super speed. Thrill-seeking aside, he genuinely cared for the people and things he fought for, which at times led him to break the rules in order to do what he thought had to be done. His greatest flaw in this area may be that he developed something of a need for action, which left him uneasy in times of peace and often influenced his decisions more heavily than any other factor. Though he had great loyalty to his friends, family, nation, and Mobius in general, he showed a tendency to be hesitant about committing to anything that did not allow him to fight for the things he cared about. Sonic had a bragging nature and that shows as he enjoyed gloating about his accomplishments, even going so far to rub other's noses in it. Even though he was not intrigued by the marital proposals at all, he enjoyed all the attention he gets from females sometimes. Depending on the person, the hedgehog could either treat them great and be happy to give them his time or outright ignore them. He was also clever and intelligent. In dealing with his enemies, Sonic was usually light-hearted in behavior, often mocking his opponents with insults and puns. Given how serious he could be in some cases, however, it is likely that these jokes were an attempt to lighten the mood or project an air of confidence. Of course, it also served (in most cases) to aggravate his enemies to the point of distraction. A milder form of this behavior was found in ribbing of his various friends and allies, whom he often attempted to get them to loosen up. However, after Sally's roboticization and the events that followed, he became far more serious, moodier, distrusting, and unforgiving than usual, most often during the course of battle, though he did try to maintain his cool, light-hearted demeanor after the Team Fighters began their mission. Conversely, he could also become friendly to those he previously distrusted in a flash, as seen by how he quickly forgave Mega Man even after the they had been trying to destroy each other just moments before, much to the boy robot's surprise. Sonic enjoyed being laid back and confident, rarely showing any signs of being put off by anything. It was only in the moments of greatest loss (such as the destruction of Knothole, Eggman's temporary descent into madness, and Sally's roboticization) that his macho and carefree appearance fell away. Deeply devoted to his friends and family, Sonic enjoyed helping them every chance he gets. In particular, he helped less confident individuals express themselves and toughen up, as when he helped Mina Mongoose use her singing talents. However, he also had something of a bullheaded streak which caused him to think that he was right and everyone else was wrong. This led him to clash with other such strong personalities as Knuckles, Geoffrey, Monkey Khan, Tails, and even Sally. In the case of the latter, Sonic was clever and preferred to make up plans as he goes along, whilst Sally was more tactically minded. For all his rough edges, Sonic showed himself to be quite a gentleman, almost always showing respect to women. This was demonstrated in his first encounters with Bunnie and Rouge, as well as in other situations. While he tended to treat her differently, Sonic also showed Sally a great deal of respect, though their years of being acquainted and closer relationship seemed to lead him to treat her more like "one of the guys" in many group situations. Powers and abilities=Sonic's most notable ability was his super speed, allowing him to run at speeds far surpassing Mach 1, which was at the blistering speed of 768 mph or more. His speed allowed him to perform impressive feats, such as vibrating at high speeds to such a degree that it allowed him to pass through solid objects.[8] More amazing feats of Sonic's speed were his ability to ball up water, and throw it, all in a 0.0000000001 of a millisecond. Such feats even included him being able to scoop up dirt, toss it in the air and walk on it like a bridge. The hedgehog, with the aid of several Power Rings combined with his speed, could tear open a dimensional rift in reality, alongside Knuckles, as shown in his first battle with Master Mogul. As stated by Sally, Sonic could go from 0 to 65 mph in just 0.0000000001 seconds. It is possible that he could access greater levels of speed, as he was able to travel from the ruins of Knothole to the east coast of the continent and back in just a few seconds during his battle with the Egg Beater, it is likely due to him becoming much stronger from rage. Sonic was known to innovate various techniques to increase speed and acceleration. His most popular instance of such was the Spin Dash, a technique in which he assumed a ball or wheel like shape by tucking his arms, knees and head to his core, rotated on the spot at blurring speeds, and took off at the speed of rotation at the time of release. Perhaps his highest tiered technique of this nature was the Figure-Eight Peel-Out, as shown when he, from a stationary position, moved his legs at an extremely high speed and took off at speeds far surpassing that of which he reached using any other technique. The hedgehog could also incorporate this technique into his running style to various effects. While performing this skill, Sonic's legs flickered into and maintained the stark shape of a horizontal figure 8 or infinity symbol. Sonic's speed also increased his combat abilities. His Figure-Eight Peel-Out move increased his speed and strength, and even allowed him to briefly hover in midair. Spinning around in an upright position, he could become a makeshift tornado, taking down any foes close to him. The hedgehog could achieve similar effects by spinning his arms around, propelling him into the air and defeating anyone caught in his path. While running, he could even create trails of fire with the friction from his speed.[9] As far as stamina goes, Sonic's was seemingly limitless as he was never winded from running. According to Jules, the more energy he expends without resting, the stronger his "crashes" are when he was ready to relax. By running in place on roads, he could turn it into tar, stopping his enemies in their tracks. He also possessed vast supernatural strength, as seen when punching Eggman's robots with brute force, being able to damage the Egg Beater, which was designed to counter and match his speed and strength, and being able to lift people and objects that were several times his weight. Sonic was also a chaos being with the ability to manipulate Chaos energy, though with less ease than the likes of Shadow or Knuckles. Unlike these two, he could not channel Chaos energy without the aid of a power source like the Chaos Emeralds or the Master Emerald. When tapping into the Chaos Force, the hedgehog was granted amplified innate abilities, such as increased durability and speed. Also, due to the large amounts of Chaos energy he absorbed over the course of his adventures, it was hypothesized that he was the living embodiment of chaos, making him an unpredictable variable that could thwart even the most well-thought-out plan. As an off-spin of Sonic's ability to manipulate Chaos energy, he could absorb Power Rings, which he used to get a boost of energy during battle as well as to facilitate his Super Forms. Following the destruction of Knothole, it was revealed that he had absorbed so many Power Rings that their energy gave him increased resistance and durability. He also possessed the curious ability to negate negative influences brought on by Chaos energy, as shown by his victories over Perfect Chaos, Enerjak, and his resistance to Dr. Finitevus' hex. This ability also enabled him to absorb energy from the Master Emerald despite it being locked by Finitevus' hex, something that even the wizard Merlin Prower was at a loss to explain, to the point that both Dr. Eggman and Mammoth Mogul, Super geniuses in both Science and Magic respectively, think of Sonic as "Embodiment of Chaos" and think of Fates themselves ensuring Sonic's victory in any way possible on a Multiversal scale, which would continue to happen as Eggman tried to use Genesis Wave against Sonic, only to, at least partially, fail. When it comes to combat, Sonic was a self-taught boxer[10] and briefly trained alongside Sally Acorn.[11] He is capable of performing pressure point strikes, making Kodos' legs go numb. His fighting style was shown to be on par with Geoffrey St. John, the leader of the Royal Secret Service, who is capable of outclassing and effortlessly defeating all other freedom fighters at once.[12][13][14][15] Even after all his fights with Geoffrey, the hedgehog showed that he was willing to continue training alongside others, using virtual reality battle simulations.[16] Even without his speed, he showed to have some accuracy, such as when he destroyed a Combot by throwing a Power Ring directly at it.[17] Sonic was also a master of disguise, having used clever costumes to fool others on multiple occasions.[18][19][20] He was a very talented guitarist as well; when learning to play guitar, he quickly mastered it, with Mina describing him as a natural-born talent and a large crowd gathering to listen to him.[21] Additionally, while the hedgehog was adventuring in outer space, he was implanted with a device allowing him to understand all languages (including those of mobinis). Being a hedgehog, which were a burrowing species, Sonic had an ability to dig, as shown when Enerjak transported him underground, but he quickly resurfaced. Among Sonic's more obscure abilities are him being able to spontaneously generate forcefield around himself, summon Dulcy to help him, make himself invisible by spinning fast and create afterimages to confuse enemies. Transformations=Super Sonic: By absorbing large amounts of Chaos energy originating from the Chaos Emeralds, Sonic could transform into Super Sonic. While transformed, he was given a vast increase in strength, speed and reflexes. Additionally, he was granted the ability to fly, was virtually invulnerable to harm, and was given an open link to the Chaos Force. He could also access this form with either a Super Emerald or the Master Emerald. Ultra Sonic=After absorbing a large amount of Power Rings, Sonic could assume the form of Ultra Sonic. While in this form, he could fly, manipulate non-organic matter, and open dimensional portals. Additionally, he could also alternate forms; Eco Sonic, Solar Sonic, and Polar Sonic. Romances=Sally Acorn: Sonic and Sally were childhood friends who used to play together in the royal palace during the time of the Great War. When the war started to go badly for the Mobians, Sonic and Sally were sent to the sanctuary of Knothole Village with many of the other children.[6] When Dr. Robotnik eventually took over, the two were still in the haven of Knothole. As children, both Sonic and Sally witnessed the formation of the Original Freedom Fighters and decided that, years later, they would follow in their footsteps.[7][8] Originally, Sonic and Sally first met up when Sonic's uncle was captured and roboticized by Dr. Robotnik, and Sally assisted in Sonic's escape from Robotropolis. Due to their mutual anger towards the despot and loss of their parents/guardians, Sonic joined Sally's group of Freedom Fighters. The story was later retconned to have Sonic and Sally as childhood friends, and the two modeled the Knothole Freedom Fighters after the Original Freedom Fighters. During their life as Freedom Fighters, Sonic and Sally regularly got on each others' nerves, usually due to the former's ego and attitude and the latter's impatience with said qualities. However, over time, this was usually used to hide their growing infatuation with one another. Despite their disagreements, the two had a strong commitment to the Freedom Fighters and to one another, and as their commonalities grew, so did their love and respect for one another.[9][10][11] Sally was temporarily involved in a love triangle between herself, Sonic and Geoffrey St. John, head of her father's Secret Service.[12][13][14]Sonic and Sally began a romantic relationship after the death of the original Dr.Robotnik, after Sonic confessed his feelings when he mistakenly believed she was dead, lying in what appeared to be a coffin. She overheard and then kissed him after hearing his confession. Until this moment, they only had platonic feelings for each other.[15] Later, Geoffrey ended up accepting the beginning of their relationship (although with a bit of envy towards Sonic). After Sonic secretly stole the Sword of Acorns to try and de-roboticize his uncle and his dog Muttski, pressure began to mount from the Secret Service as they linked Sonic to the theft.[16] Geoffrey, now King Max' adviser, worked hard to impress Sally while he was busy antagonizing Sonic; he convinced Prince Elias to take away Sonic's knighthood.[17] During a long period of reconstruction that followed after Robotnik's defeat, Sally was involved with royal duties and could not make time for her former compatriots. With Bunnie's advice, Sally chose Sonic to be her royal consort, and one day her husband.[18] Following an encounter with the Xorda alien invaders, Sonic was lost in space for a year. Sally assumed, along with the rest of the world, that he was dead.[19] When Sonic returned from space after a year, Sonic and Sally's love was rekindled.[20] However, Sally decided that she could not bear the pain of losing him again after witnessing Sonic get injured by Dr. Eggman's "daughter" Mecha, and tried to convince him to give up his heroics.[21] Sally had hoped to groom Sonic as the next King, but Sonic was mortified by the idea of not fighting against Eggman's growing threat. Sally gave Sonic an ultimatum: choose to be at her side. Sonic refused, which earned him a slap across the face and an end to their relationship.[22] When King Max fell ill due to poisoning by Patch (an evil version of Antoine from the parallel universe of Anti Mobius, who has designs on ruling the Kingdom), he decided that the only way for Sally to rule the Kingdom of Acorn in his place was to marry Antoine. Sally reluctantly agreed, partially due to her anger with Sonic and partially because of her duty as princess. Before Patch could ascend the throne with Sally as his Queen, Prince Elias stepped in and retook the throne. A desperate Patch attempted to murder Elias, but was interrupted by Sonic, who sent Patch back to his reality.[23][24] Sometime later, Sally joined the Freedom Fighters on a sting operation against a group of villains who were, supposedly, moving in to purchase the Master Emerald from Rouge the Bat. During this time, Sally admitted that seeing Antoine and Bunnie so close made her feel jealous, as well as upset at her emotional distance with Sonic.[25] At Antoine and Bunnie's wedding, when the subject of marriage came up, Sally flatly remarked she was perfectly happy remaining single.[26] During a nostalgic visit to the ruins of Knothole, they finally made up and remained friends, though they would have kissed if it were not for the interference of Bean and Bark. Though it seemed that Sonic and Sally were on their way towards forming a new romance, Sally made a decision (with support from Bunnie) to "test the waters" with Monkey Khan.[28][29] Sonic had shown some jealousy over it, particularly during their journey into the Dragon Kingdom.[30][31] However, unbeknownst to him, Sally came to realize that she ended the relationship between her and Sonic badly, and that maybe she should explore it with him further. Upon her return from the Dragon Kingdom, Sally took Sonic out to lunch, which Sonic surprisingly accepted willingly.[32] Later, with the events going on such as Geoffrey St. John betraying Sonic and Mina's song driving the citizens to believe Nicole was evil, Sonic decided to take Sally on a date to a fancy restaurant until person began arguing about Nicole, and they decided to leave. Afterwards, Sonic and Sally went to the Lake of Rings where they teased one another by fighting over who was more jealous of each others' previous relationships. The night ended with Sally asking Sonic if he could slow down a bit so she could be by his side, to which he accepted. Later on, while jumping into battle, Sonic and Sally shared a kiss fully rekindling their romance. Amy Rose: Born in Mercia, Amy was a maniacal fan of Sonic for years, but Sonic never had any real contact with her or even met her, thinking she was just a random fan. She started sending numerous letters to him. They first met when Amy had the misfortune of being kidnapped by Robotnik, who tried to use Metal Sonic to defeat Sonic. Her affection for Sonic grew after he rescued her from Dr. Robotnik and Metal Sonic.[34] After a period of time, Amy moved from Mercia to the village of Knothole, where she began living near Sonic and the Freedom Fighters. She founded the Sonic fanclub in Knothole Village, and was also defending Sonic at his trial, after he was arrested for attacking Knothole as Mecha Sonic.[35] Over time, Amy gradually grew closer to the Freedom Fighters, even appearing as an "extra" at their headquarters and being close to them at important events in Knothole and Mobotropolis, but she wasn't actually a member yet. However, as time went on, she grew closer to Sonic to the point where he began to consider her a friend with whom he could share stories of unusual situations that had happened to him in the past. [36] Fed up with being overlooked as just a "kid", Amy took matters into her own hands and misused the power of the Ring of Acorns to age her body from 10 to 16. While this did little to attract Sonic's attention, it was enough for Amy to gain recruitment into the Freedom Fighters.[37] Some time later, Amy received training from Knuckles' girlfriend, Julie-Su, so that she would not only become the "best" Freedom Fighter, but mostly so that she would win over Sonic's heart. She was also the first one to confront Fiona Fox about her betrayal of Sonic and the Freedom Fighters after Tails revealed to her Fiona was actually in love with Scourge.[38] After helping Sally rescue Sonic from the Destructix, Amy showed signs of jealousy towards Sally, whom Sonic gave his thanks to for the rescue. Shortly after, though, Sonic pointed out his recognition for her efforts, making Amy blush with joy.[39] Recently, after the Robotropolis mission, Amy asked Sonic out to dinner, which he accepted after seeing Sally and Khan walking away together.[28] He also came to her aid during the final battle for New Mobotropolis, though he showed some embarrassment by her enthusiastic hugs. Mina Mongoose: Mina was first found by Sonic while she was mourning the loss of her mother in the recently-retaken Robotropolis during Dr. Eggman's takeover.[41] When Sonic's Uncle Chuck became a robot slave for the dictator once again, Sonic recklessly stole the Sword of Acorns to restore his uncle's free will. Along the way to Robotropolis, he ran into Mina, who lectured Sonic about stealing the sword. The two were ambushed by Eggman's Combots and Sonic chose to save Mina at the cost of losing the sword. Feeling grateful for saving her life, Mina provided an alibi for Sonic when the King's Secret Service started to suspect him for the theft. When Mina finally mustered the courage to kiss Sonic, she was turned away, as Sonic was still in love with Sally. Meanwhile, Sally, who was locked away within the palace for a while due to her royal duties, finally decided to make an exit to see Sonic again. Posing as a servant girl, she exited the palace, arriving just in time to see the kiss between Mina and Sonic that caused her to believe Sonic had moved on.[42] Sometime later, Mina was finally ready to join the Freedom Fighters. However, on her first mission, she discovered that she lacked the courage to act when engaged in conflict. She then realized she should not join the Freedom Fighters just for Sonic and that she was unfit for the lifestyle.[43] Shortly after, Mina discovered her talent as a singer when it gained Sonic's attention. With a little motivation from Sonic, Mina decided to start singing professionally.[44] Mina's singing career led Sonic to slowly develop emotional feelings for her. However, just before Mina had the chance to ask Sonic out on a date, Sally was kidnapped by the fugitive Nack the Weasel. Mina embarked on a rescue mission with Sonic to save the princess, but was heartbroken when Sonic and Sally realized their true love for each other and kissed. During their moment of passion, Mina noticed Nack preparing to shoot Sally before making his escape. Mina took the bullet and told Sonic she loved him before passing out. She was rushed to the hospital by Sonic, where she made a full recovery, though she felt sad at discovering Sonic loved Sally.[45][46] After Sonic's unexpected adventure in outer space (which stranded him away from Mobius for a year), he returned home to find that his friends and family had all accepted his apparent death. Like Sally, Mina had also moved on while Sonic was away and was dating her record manager, Ash. Although Mina briefly juggled her feelings for Sonic when he returned, she was quickly forced to reconcile with Ash when he was injured by a bomb while trying to protect her. According to her, while she would always have a place in her heart for Sonic, she loves Ash instead. Bunnie D'Coolette: While Bunnie showed interest in Sonic since he rescued her from a Roboticizer,[48] these flirtations have been rare, partly because Bunnie was best friends with Sally and knows of her love for Sonic. Bunnie also gradually developed an interest in Antoine, which eventually led to their marriage.[26][14] Prior to their full commitment, however, Bunnie and Sonic experienced minor cases of infatuation, particularly when Antoine was replaced by his Anti-Mobius self. Antoine and Bunnie abruptly broke up when the former started exhibiting unusually cruel behavior.[20] In reality, Antoine had been replaced with the Anti-Mobius version of himself, Patch. While she was on the rebound, Bunnie was approached by Evil Sonic, who tried to seduce her until Tails stumbled upon the two and loudly protested. Although Bunnie was initially put off by Evil Sonic's half-baked come-ons, she eventually began to play along in the hope that it would drive Antoine insanely jealous. She had no idea that both Sonic and Antoine had been replaced by their evil doubles.[49] When A.D.A.M.'s nanites attempted to integrate Bunnie's robotic limbs into their systems, a quick-thinking Sonic convinced the machines that her "organic" half made Bunnie unfit for their purposes. Once released, Bunnie planted a kiss on an equally-relieved Sonic, still ignorant of the fact it was Evil-Sonic she was with before.[50] Since the discovery of Patch and his sinister schemes, Bunnie showed no signs of interest in Sonic. With Antoine's return to this universe, the two rekindled their love and finally married. Fiona Fox: For years, Fiona harbored a dislike towards Sonic, viewing him as selfish for leaving her behind in one of Robotnik's prisons (unaware he had no choice at the time).[51][52] Her perception of Sonic changed after he supposedly died to protect Mobius from a Xorda alien attack.[53] Fiona's interest in Sonic irritated Tails, who harbored a secret love for her. Eventually, Tails mustered the will to confront Sonic and Fiona about his feelings, but Fiona rejected Tails because of their age difference. Fiona and Sonic became a couple at this point.[23][47] Sonic and Fiona were in love until Sonic found out that Fiona was evil, and she was dating Scourge, having defected from the Freedom Fighters to become a villain. Fiona had fallen in love with Scourge while he briefly impersonated Sonic. After trying to find the same attraction in him, she failed, realizing that she preferred his evil counterpart.[38] Sonic later revealed he began dating Fiona to help Tails get over her, and that at the time he was still hurt from his and Sally's breakup, indicating he may or may not have had a genuine interest in a long term relationship with her.[54] Main Friends=Miles "Tails" Prower. Antoine D'Coolette: Early on Antoine would often compete with Sonic, especially over the love of Princess Sally Acorn. Antoine would be annoyed with Sonic's immature behavior and would take any reasonable chance to knock him down a peg, and Sonic would nag Antoine with endless heckling. Both of them seem to have matured, though; With Antoine married to Bunnie Rabbot, both he and Sonic have buried the hatchet and are no longer feuding, though they sometimes poke fun at each other, with Sonic bringing up Antoine's past arrogance and cowardice while Antoine makes sly remarks about Sonic's lack of maturity. Rogues Gallery=Dr. Ivo Robotnik: Due to him causing the fall of the Acorn family, Dr. Robotnik served as Sonic's main enemy for years. His crimes against Sonic are as follows but not limited to, roboticizing his family and friends, turning him into Mecha Sonic and manipulating Hershey Cat into framing him for nearly killing Sally. Ultimately, their antagonism would end when Robotnik erased himself from existence. Dr. Eggman: Dr. Eggman took Robotnik's place as Sonic's main enemy after the latter erased himself from existence. Eggman made several attempts to kill Sonic, the most successful being when he took his Egg Beater and leveled Knothole. After getting payback, Sonic drove Eggman into temporary insanity. Nack the Weasel, Iron Queen. Ixis Naugus: Perhaps Sonic's greatest enemy after the Robotniks was Ixis Naugus, who was partially responsible for the rise of Robotnik and King Max's imprisonment in the Void. After Naugus' escape, Sonic and Tails went on a journey to hunt him down. Recently, Naugus manipulated the people's fear to become king. Sonic would ultimately never dethrone Naugus due to the Super Genesis Wave. Kodos Lion, Mammoth Mogul: While he was more Tails' enemy, Mammoth Mogul was one of the most dangerous enemies Sonic ever encountered. In addition to having pitted his friends against him, Mogul had a long legacy that haunts the hedgehog, most notably the Order of Ixis. Snively Robotnik: Snively Robotnik was one of Sonic's oldest enemies. He taunted Snively since he was working for Robotnik and never really considered him a threat. Scourge the Hedgehog: Though Scourge and Sonic the Hedgehog had nothing but hatred for each other, due to their identical abilities they did occasionally find themselves working together, such as when the pair and Shadow battled the sub-boss Croctobot (though afterwards, Scourge immediately and single-handedly defeated Sonic and Shadow, who left in a huff). Scourge thought he figured out why Sonic did not like him: all Sonic needed was one bad day, and he would be just like Scourge. Sonic stated the exact opposite, saying that all Scourge needed was some good qualities and he would be just like Sonic. This gave Scourge some self-doubt that let to him reinventing his own identity and making him a much greater threat than before. At the same time, Scourge has become a grim reminder to Sonic of what he would become if he went down a dark path.     Antoine D'Coolette (born 3217)[note 2] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a mobian coyote and the son of the late army General Armand D'Coolette and Marie D'Coolette. He is as well a faithful and longtime member of the Knothole Freedom Fighters and husband of his teammate Bunnie D'Coolette. Outwardly brave and noble yet serious about his duties, Antoine fought alongside his fellow Freedom Fighters against the evil forces of Dr. Eggman and the Eggman Empire.

    While originally one of the least contributing members and often a downright coward, Antoine gradually overcame his fears and honed his skills with the sword.

    Early life=Antoine was born in Mercia shortly before the Great War broke out, though his family moved to Mobotropolis while he was still young.[2] As a young boy, Antoine began training as a cadet to become a soldier in the Royal Army. His father personally oversaw his training, teaching him the local language in contrast to his mother educating him in their native tongue. This would lead to Antoine having difficulties with both languages later in his life.[2][3] Antoine also enjoyed playing with his friends Sally Acorn, Sonic the Hedgehog and Rotor Walrus, though Sonic would often pick on him.[4][5] Antoine was only eight years of age when Dr. Ivo Robotnik began his military coup and takeover of Mobotropolis. During the coup d'état, Antoine was sent into hiding in the Great Forest with other children, while his father was one of the many citizens captured and roboticized. Antoine remained unaware of this and believed, as did many others, that his beloved father had perished in the chaos of the coup when he and his troop went missing. Fatherless and now with a grieving mother, Antoine took to wearing his old cadet uniform as a testament of loyalty to his father, despite having not completed his training.[3][4][5][6] Antoine eventually went on to be raised by Rosie and Julayla after his mother had passed on due to an illness, as they were responsible for tending to the other children orphaned by war as well.[2][7] While still young, he became one of the founding members of the eventual Knothole Freedom Fighters when they came across an old limestone cavern outside of Knothole, vowing to stop Robotnik and save their old home.[8] While playing on a frozen pond with the others one winters' day, Antoine also got caught up in a strange experience that sent him into another Zone thanks to a Power Ring they found in a nearby well. While Sally and Sonic each had their own adventure, Antoine, Boomer and Tails had a shared experience which Tails believed had some meaning as they had been able to get through it together like they were part of a team.[5]

    Freedom Fighter=as he got older, Antoine at first seemed to be very arrogant and cowardly, always being the first one to report trouble of any kind and then also run from it.[9][10][11][12] However, this was all a ruse to cover his inner feelings of insecurity and inferiority.[2] He was also not the most insightful person either, as he nearly brought down their entire group when he lead Pseudo-Sonic right into Knothole while obliviously thinking it was the real Sonic.[13] Throughout all this, he made every attempt to win over Sally's affection as he believed it was his duty from being brought up to be a member of the royal court. Sadly, despite his persistence, Sally always turned him down in favor of Sonic, whose more irresponsible and easy-going nature appealed to her and continued to make Antoine a regular victim of Sonic's joking.[10] However, Antoine did have a few shining moments in the early days of the war, such as when he saved Bunnie Rabbot from a SWATbot with a boulder he pushed from a ledge above.[3] At one point, Antoine even single-handedly saved his friends from a surprise attack of Robotnik and his forces during their annual Freedom Fighter picnic by launching an aerial counter-attack with a hot-air balloon he had repaired.[14] During this time, Antoine also served a valuable function as the Freedom Fighter's pilot for various aircraft including the Tornado and Turbo-Prop, manning the controls as they headed into imminent danger, including when the Floating Island was hijacked during Operation: Flying Destroyer, usually at the others' behest.[15][16] One evening, Tails left a Power Ring behind in Robotropolis and Antoine volunteered to retrieve it before Sonic found out. After navigating his way through the city and nearly getting captured numerous times, he returned the Power Ring to Tails and then kissed Bunnie in thanks for helping him, even though she meant to do so without giving herself away to Antoine. Shortly after this, Antoine accompanied Sonic and Tails on a mission into Robotropolis to survey the city after a recent earthquake. The trio was soon attacked by a group of Combots, one of which Antoine managed to strike down. However, Sonic's speed was temporarily taken away after one of the Combots exploded and knocked him unconscious. Antoine along with the other Knothole Freedom Fighters were soon captured, but with help from the Robotropolis Spy Network and the Substitute Freedom Fighters, Sonic managed to free Antoine and the others. During Mecha Sonic's attack on Knothole, Antoine questioned Sonic's loyalty as he had previously asked for permission to be roboticized with a Neuro-Overrider to maintain his free will.[19] After Mecha Sonic was defeated by Mecha Knuckles and restored to his organic self,[20] Antoine all too happily placed Sonic under arrest with the charge of treason. During the trial, Antoine acted as the prosecution and did everything he possibly could to find Sonic guilty, badgering Amy Rose and questioning witnesses in a way that made Sonic seem undeniably guilty. However, he was quickly put on the spot when Sonic argued that Antoine had left his post at the Knothole jailhouse, which allowed Nack the Weasel to escape and capture Sonic, leading to his roboticization, and Antoine was too busy plotting his coronation party to notice Nack's disappearance. Despite Antoine's admittance that Sonic was right, Sonic was still found guilty, but Sally agreed to give him the chance to prove his innocence, which he quickly did by recapturing Nack, much to Antoine's disappointment. Not long after, King Max was successfully recovered and Sally paired Antoine up with Bunnie to scout out the Lake of Rings and retrieve any Rings they could find in an effort to restore their monarch's health.[22] With Sally starting to get her family back, Antoine began going through his father's old belongings and came across half of an old map that lead to a site in Robotropolis called the "Budding Circle." Deciding to go it alone since it had been left by his father, Antoine ventured into the city and found Snively at the Circle looking for the last remaining seeds of the Krudzu with his Eggbots. Confused as to why his father would have a map leading to Robotnik's failed plant-badniks, Antoine accidentally gave himself away as he tried to retreat, leading to a dangerous chase with the Eggbots as he attempted to avoid capture in the city's sewer system. Eventually he managed to evade them and alert Uncle Chuck of what was happening, but then went back to the site to help the other Freedom Fighters after Sir Charles told him they had also gone there to investigate the digging activity they had detected.[23] By the time of Operation: EndGame, Antoine's opinion of Sonic had changed. When Geoffrey St. John was ready to kill Sonic, Antoine punched him out, stating, "The 'edgehog may be zee imbecile like you, but even he does not desairve death!" He also called St. John a liar who had stolen his family's honor by revealing that it was in fact his father who had established the Royal Underground before Robotnik's coup, while St. John falsely took credit for it. Wandering off in self-disgust, Antoine then found that Bunnie had followed him and received a surprise in that she openly admitted having feelings for him, and promptly kissed him on the spot.[3] After Sonic's arrest for Sally's supposed murder, Antoine became suspicious of Drago Wolf spending much of his time with the mysteriously-healed King Max. While attempting to spy on Drago, Antoine and Bunnie were captured by a group of SWATbots and taken to Crocbot's prison camp in Downunda.[24] To prevent their escape, Antoine was fitted with an explosive collar rigged to detonate if Bunnie used her robotic limbs, but they were able to remove it with help from Barby Koala. While there, the two helped free the Downunda Freedom Fighters who then engaged Crocbot in a final battle (though he actually managed to survive), covering for Antoine and Bunnie as they boarded an airship back to Robotropolis. Following this, they discovered Robotnik's plan for the Ultimate Annihilator, and stole a nuclear device from the Combots en-route, placing it on the weapon after they arrived.[25][26] The bomb proved useless however, as Robotnik was ultimately killed by his own creation due to Snively's tampering.[27][28]

    Family (Re-)Building=With the war over, Antoine devoted his time and duty to helping rebuild the kingdom. He would often find himself paired up with Bunnie for a lot of their work, whom he also started feeling much closer towards after what they had been through.[29][30] During this period, Antoine joined Sonic and Sally on a recon mission that brought him up against the Eggbots a second time. It would have been the end for him and Sonic if not for the aid of Monkey Khan, whom Sally had freed.[31] While Sonic and Tails were away chasing down Ixis Naugus, Antoine realized he and Bunnie had genuine romantic feelings towards each other despite the King considering him be Sally's suitor. Sonic took notice of this after he returned, seeing how Bunnie was hanging on to Antoine's every word while they were enjoying themselves at Deer John's. When Sonic asked him about this, Antoine admitted just how happy Bunnie had made him and how much she meant to him. As he mentioned that her love actually helped ease the pain of losing his father, his mood swiftly fell when Sonic dropped a bombshell on him- that his father was alive, but roboticized and last seen serving as the High Sheriff Sub-Boss of Robotnik's former holdings in Mercia.[32][33] Following a pirate broadcast of the late Dr. Robotnik's biography and the disappearance of the Robian colony in Knothole, Antoine met with the others to discuss the appearance of a series of strange satellites around the planet, whose activation appeared related to recent events.[34] Journeying into space, Antoine and the other Freedom Fighters found a massive space station orbiting Mobius which housed the missing Robians and belonged to none other than Robo-Robotnik, who lured them away to be trapped while he took over Mobotropolis and started a second war.[35][36] Once they were freed by Snively and returned to the planet,[36][37] Antoine and Bunnie, along with Jules and Bernie, followed Tails back to the city's library where they rescued the historian Jeremiah and recovered as many books as they could to preserve their history.[38] In the evenings that followed, Antoine and the others would discuss what they had brought back to Knothole around campfires, while listening to Jules' and Bernie's input from their experiences during the Great War.[39][40][41] Not long after, Antoine learned Bunnie's robotic and organic halves were rejecting each other, putting her life at risk. As Antoine talked with her over her options, he told Bunnie he would love her no matter what decision she made, giving her the courage to get a permanent upgrade at the cost of losing all chances of ever being de-roboticized.[42] Antoine then went with the other Freedom Fighters to Station Square to warn its inhabitants, once they learned Dr. Eggman had located the hidden city.[43] While there, Amy Rose disappeared and Antoine and Bunnie went looking for her, though their efforts were fruitless as she later returned safely with Tails.[44] As he tried to get people to safety during Perfect Chaos' attack, falling rubble struck Antoine and broke his ankle, forcing Knuckles to rescue him.[45][46] After Antoine returned to Knothole, his injury forced King Max to relieve him of active military duty (at that time a Lieutenant), so he requested a leave of absence to look for his father in Mercia along with Bunnie and Amy.[47] En route, Antoine made a stop in the Northern Tundra to visit Rotor and his family, and picked a device his inventor friend designed to briefly disable hostile Robians.[48] Once they arrived in Deerwood Forest, they were confronted by Amy's cousin Rob o' the Hedge who accused Antoine of being in league with the High Sheriff and bewitching Amy, only to have Knuckles appear and save Antoine a second time. Joining with Knuckles, Antoine went to the mysterious city of Albion where he later discovered his roboticized father being held for impending disassembly. Antoine was unable to convince High Councillor Gala-Na to let him handle the situation, and once he was struck by his out-of-control father, required the help of Chaos Knuckles to send them back to their transport instantly. Antoine then brought his father back to Knothole where he kept him imprisoned until the Sword of Acorns restored his free will.[1][48][49][50] Finally able to catch up with his father, Antoine attempted to impress him with a few exaggerated stories of his exploits. Sonic decided to play along, hoping to help Antoine reconnect with his father by making his tales seem legitimate. Later, Antoine defeated Evil Sonic after he escaped from the No Zone, thinking that it was actually Sonic in disguise helping him as part of an act. Antoine caught Evil Sonic off-guard and single-handedly took him down, enabling Zonic the Zone Cop to apprehend him.[51]

    Replaced by Patch=Antoine's case of mistaken identity came back to haunt him when Evil Sonic kidnapped him and switched him for his Moebius counterpart, Patch, during the year Sonic was in outer space.[52] Forced to wear the mask of his Prime counterpart, Patch worked behind the scenes to secure the throne of Acorn, even poisoning Antoine's father and breaking off Antoine's relationship with Bunnie Rabbot.[53] Antoine was forced to play the role of his Anti Mobius self until Sonic finally discovered the switch and rescued him, sending Patch back to Anti Mobius.[54] Once he returned, Antoine resumed his rank in the Royal Army and assisted in the defense of Castle Acorn during the Metal Sonic Troopers' attack.[55][56] After that, he joined in the celebration of Sonic's next birthday, only to have to fight again with the arrival of the bounty-hunters Bark the Polar Bear and Bean the Dynamite to take out Sonic, and then Croctobot, followed by Scourge and Rouge.[57][58] Sometime later, Antoine joined with the others in a decisive battle against the combined might of Mammoth Mogul, Ixis Naugus, the Arachne Clan, and the Destructix. Now back home, Antoine had the arduous task of picking up the pieces of his life; having found that, not only had Patch subverted his life and ruined his good name, but had destroyed all he held valuable. Antoine finally got a break when Bunnie offered to help. Antoine was on the verge of proposing, when Sonic dropped another bomb; his father, recently hospitalized at Julayla Memorial Park seriously ill, needed to see him. Bunnie came with Antoine at his request (as he felt he could not face another devastating event alone), and Antoine was given the news from Dr. Quack; Armand's illness was being caused by poisoning done by Patch, but the dose was far higher than that on King Max, and as such, was terminal. Antoine came to his father on his deathbed, where he threw himself upon his father's mercy, begging forgiveness for his weaknesses and believed himself a failure. Armand, however, pointed out how well Antoine had turned out, and assured his son he was not a failure in his eyes, accomplishing more than he ever did as a soldier. Before he passed away, Armand also implored Antoine to cherish his relationship with Bunnie and also told him that his mother would have been proud of him.[62]

    Marriage=Having spent years fighting alongside Bunnie with their relationship as strong as ever, and remembering his father's final words, Antoine finally resolved to ask for her hand in marriage. It took weeks to pluck up enough courage, and only did so when faced with the prospects of their enemies growing in numbers and their only respite was in each other. The actual decision to propose to Bunnie came as a reaction to Fiona Fox's defection to Scourge. Happily for him, Bunnie accepted, but they still had to take part in the sting operation that resulted in the capture of both Ixis Naugus and Mammoth Mogul, along with Nack, Bark, and Bean that very same night.[63][64] Right before the wedding though, Antoine started to get cold feet and was receiving encouragement of how he had faced incredible danger before. When the time came, Antoine was able to go through with stating his vows and putting the ring on Bunnie's finger and the two's wedding ceremony was the biggest celebration in Knothole; with King Elias Acorn performing it, Sonic as best man, and Sally as maid of honor.[65]

    Following battles=Shortly after his marriage, Antoine became one of the Mobians captured by Dr. Eggman during the destruction of Knothole Village, but was promptly liberated thanks to a quick rescue mission mounted by Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, Tails, and Nicole.[66][67] He then joined his rescuers and fellow former captives in bringing down Dr. Eggman's Egg Beater robot and force him to retreat.[68] Antoine was also one of several Freedom Fighters who were part of a mass attack launched at the new Enerjak, but like most of his allies was unable to even land a blow on him due to his immense powers.[69] Years of fighting against Robotnik, Badniks, and even his own evil-counterpart toughened Antoine up,[70] and he soon began to contribute much more. When the Suppression Squad, formerly the Anti-Freedom Fighters and now led by King Scourge the Hedgehog and Queen Fiona Fox, attacked Freedom HQ itself through a pair of stolen Globe Posts, a pitched battle soon erupted between both groups.[71] Antoine dueled with Patch, vowing he would pay for all he cost him, but Patch in turn threatened to kill him as he did his father. This motivated Antoine to be the only one to duel Patch, not out of revenge, but to ensure Patch would not kill Bunnie, who had become the only reason he had to keep living. Patch, Miles Prower and Boomer overheard this, and Antoine, disarmed and restrained by Boomer, panicked and was helpless as Patch held his sword to Bunnie's throat, interested in the idea of taking her life in order to hurt Antoine. Before Patch could slit her throat, however, Sonic intervened and knocked all three to the floor, freeing Antoine and Bunnie. Soon, the battle led the base dangerously close to collapse, forcing the Freedom Fighters to retreat, with Antoine helping Bunnie (due to injuries Boomer inflicted on her as they fled), but Sonic has vowed to regain the base.[72] Miles from the Suppression Squad was later sent to bomb New Mobotropolis. He convinced the Freedom Fighters to aid him in overthrowing Scourge. Antoine and Patch could not do much against Scourge, who beat everybody up before he was left stranded on Moebius.[73] Antoine later accompanied the other Freedom Fighters and the Suppression Squad to Moebius to defeat Scourge through the repaired Star Posts, only for them to all be temporarily defeated by Super Scourge, but thanks to the quick thinking of Sonic, Super Scourge was defeated and they returned back to Mobius.[74][75]

    Eggman's fall and the Iron Dominion=Antoine later assisted in capturing a small piece of land outside the Eggdome for the Freedom Fighters to set camp and get ready for the final battle against Eggman.[76] He also helped invade the Eggdome itself the next day while talking over old times with his wife and Princess Sally.[77] After Bunnie and Mighty finished taking down the barricade, Antoine and the Freedom Fighters entered to see Eggman defeated and headed back to New Mobotropolis to celebrate.[78] Their celebrations were cut short by the arrival of the Iron Queen, who used her Magitek abilities to seize control of Bunnie's limbs, forcing her to attack her friends and even nearly kill Antoine before she was stopped by Monkey Khan. As a result, Antoine was furious, as Monkey Khan's failure to fully explain the Queen's powers or his own liability to them nearly cost Bunnie's life.[79][80] However, when Khan later apologized, Antoine did as well, expressing further forgiveness when the two of them visited Bunnie at Tommy Turtle Memorial Hospital.[81] Antoine joined the other fighting fit Freedom Fighters in rescuing Sonic from the Iron King after Sonic engaged the tyrant to allow Tails to escape with Dr. Eggman in tow.[82] Afterwards, he welcomed Sally into his home and left her and Bunnie alone to talk.[83] Later, as the Iron Dominion invaded the city, the pair evacuated civilians with the help of Vector the Crocodile and Mighty the Armadillo. Antoine asked Bunnie to leave, but was surprised when she remained behind, determined to fight alongside him. The two were then subdued by a corrupted "Iron Nicole", but managed to escape the city and get into hiding.[84] Antoine managed to join forces with Amy Rose and Geoffrey St. John, bringing them back to where Bunnie was hiding and then meeting with Nicole. After learning of a public Legionization to be held in New Mobotropolis' stadium, Antoine and his comrades made their way there, charging in to save Rotor from being the first subject. After a brief and rather one-sided battle, they were joined by Sonic's team as they returned from the Dragon Kingdom.[85] With their allies returned and the Four Houses withdrawing their support from the Iron Dominion, Antoine and his friends were able to defeat their opponents, expelling the Iron King and arresting the Iron Queen with Antoine himself snapping the handcuffs on her.[86]

    Honeymoon on Cocoa Island=With the Iron Queen incarcerated in the Dragon Kingdom, Tails offered Bunnie and Antoine a chance to finally celebrate their wedding- with a well-deserved honeymoon.[87] As a result, the trio were not present to join Sonic and Sally in becoming members of the newly formed Wolf Pack Nation.[88] With additional passenger compartments installed onto the rebuilt Sea Fox, Tails brought them out to the remote atoll of Cocoa Island where he kept his workshop. Antoine was not thrilled at riding along in the sub, but tried to put on a casual front with his compartment's window open despite being clearly uncomfortable. When Tails was puzzled about a "third" sister island not on his map, Antoine inquired where he got it in the first place and suggested he simply had not gotten to it yet. Antoine quickly put it out of his mind though, and agreed with Bunnie when she suggested they land on the beach. As Bunnie and Antoine went down the beach, they lightly joked about Tails' fears that they would be bored and spent the rest of the day together, enjoying each other's company and the beautiful sights of the island. At nightfall, Antoine brought up the fear that they might have rushed into their marriage at such a young age, but he and Bunnie both agreed that it had been the right decision.[87]

    Unfortunately, the moment was interrupted by the Battle Bird Armada, who set the jungle on fire and ambushed the pair in a raid. Cut off from escape, Antoine put up a valiant fight despite being taken by surprise and without his sword, but they both were ultimately subdued by the attackers' Mole Mech and captured.[87] The next day Bunnie was taken to meet the Grand Battle Kukku XV, while Antoine stole a key to his cell in the Armada's base from his guard. He escaped soon after tricking the guard into leaving, only to run into Armada officer Speedy. Antoine then ran and found an escape hatch, only to learn it opened into empty air with a long drop to the sea below. Speedy then arrived in company with Bunnie, who had passed herself off as a Dark Egg Legion member to gain the trust of the Battle Lord. Unfortunately, Antoine believed the ruse, remembering Silver's story about a traitor in the Freedom Fighters and that Bunnie had wanted to get away from New Mobotropolis for their honeymoon. Antoine then threw himself out of the hatch, an attempt at suicide, leaving behind a horrified Bunnie.[89] However this was his own ruse, as he landed on Tails on-board the Sea Fox floating down below. After explaining he believed Bunnie was under cover, they proceeded through the island to find the entrance to the Armada's base, with Antoine bringing up Tails' earlier adventures, much to the latter's chagrin. Once they found the entrance and made their way through the tunnels, the duo fought through a small group of soldiers and were rescued by Bunnie. Following a joyful reunion with his wife, Antoine was presented with a sabre she found in the Armada's armory, which he eagerly accepted. The trio continued on into the base, only to be stopped be Dr. Fukurokov, who (after a failed attempt by Antoine and the others to pronounce his name), sent his Mole Mech to attack them.[90] During the battle, Antoine implemented part of Tails' plan to weaken the structure of the base by cutting through the lower cables. With the Mole Mech destroyed, the trio headed for the lower tunnels to escape, only to find that the Armada's base was really a flying fortress as it left the island's vicinity. After their escape, Antoine, along with Tails and Bunnie, enjoyed some hot cocoa in the young fox's cabin and toasted each other to their vacation, with Antoine considering sword collecting as a new hobby.[91]

    Powers and Abilities=In the beginning, Antoine was a clumsy and unskilled Freedom Fighter in combat due to his cowardly nature. As time went on though, he developed superior fighting skills. Antoine is a great practitioner of swordsmanship and excels with the use of his personal saber.[2] His skills stems mainly from the lessons in the art of sword-fighting his father gave him while he was still young. Though he primarily relies on his swordplay. Antoine is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat. He has limited but formal military training from his father,[2] and has received additional training from Bunnie, and can also utilize other weapons when needed. Antoine has demonstrated a noticeable degree of tactical wit which has continuously improved over time.[64] He is known to use logic in battle (he fought only to disarm his opponent when battling Sonic on Moebius, believing that if "Evil" Sonic died he would be trapped there), and his abilities in the field earned him the rank of commander in the Royal Army despite having originally been just a civilian wearing his father's old uniform. Antoine is a seasoned pilot in both airplanes and balloons.[2] He has as well demonstrated efficient skills at riding Extreme Gear, even in the middle of battle.Antoine is also bilingual, speaking both English and French.

    Weapons=As a swordsman, Antoine uses swords as his primary weapon in combat. His primary choice of sword is his own personal saber which he wears at nearly all times and excels in usage of.[2] This saber has a thin and long greyish white blade with a golden knuckle bow and grip, and a round sword pummel. Though simple, it is quite durable and has an impressive cutting edge, easily cleaving through metal and other solid substances with little effort.

    Appearance=Antoine is depicted as a brown-furred mobian coyote with tan facial fur and blonde hair and eyebrows, his eyes usually colored blue. As a youngster prior to the war, he was seen wearing a blue smock and a red ascot with red boots. His most common attire is his father Armand's old Royal Army uniform, a blue jacket with red trim, gold pads on the shoulders. He kept the red boots of his childhood, but sometimes was depicted with blue boots. At his wedding he wore a gray dress uniform with gold trim. For his honeymoon, he donned a red shirt, blue shorts, and green flip flops, the first occasion on which he has been seen in casual clothing. In the early comics, Antoine had no visible tail, although in recent years he is depicted as having a short tail just barely visible from out under the back of his uniform.

    Personality=Antoine was portrayed as arrogant and vain, but this is likely because he was simply proud and has no particular skills with which to compete with Sonic (who is often guilty of the same traits). Much of his deceptive bravado came from his efforts to hide his insecurities, though it earned him Sonic's ire early on. He was rather cowardly and easily spooked, though he gradually made more and more attempts at overcoming his fears, especially when those important to him were in danger and will back down if he thinks victory is impossible. However, during the time he was replaced with his Anti-Self, Antoine truly learned to stand up for himself and be more self-reliant, and when he returned, he had become far less cowardly. For a long time, he felt that his cowardice had shamed him in his father's eyes, though as his father lay dying, he told his son that he had matured well and that he could not be prouder. Bunnie also helped him maintain his confidence, though he occasionally looks back on his old behavior with shame. Antoine has a strong sense of duty and honor, instilled in him by his late father, to the extent that he will sacrifice his life for it, and with growing confidence his skill in battle has increased. Although he can be quite amorous, he is still proper; for example, when his home was trashed by Patch, Bunnie offered to let him move in with her, but he refused as they were not yet married. He has a relatively short fuse, which becomes more prominent after his return from Moebius. This is especially seen with darkly reflecting that he had no pity for the Suppression Squad[62], threatening to kill[79] the Iron Queen as she used Bunnie to attack the team, furiously attacking the brainwashed Monkey Khan and putting sole blame on him if Bunnie were to die, then later grabbing and yelling at him after he regained control[80]. Whenever Bunnie is hurt or in danger, he is spurred into action, often enraged. For example, he had to be held back by Dr. Quack as Naugus was preparing to cure Bunnie's crystallization.[101] Antoine has, at times, difficulty speaking English properly. He often uses the wrong words or speaks in French instead, especially when he is under great stress. He also has an intense dislike of Margarine, artificial additives, and has very strong opinions about how food should properly be prepared.

    Relationships= Sonic the Hedgehog;Early on, Antoine would often compete with Sonic, especially over the love of Princess Sally Acorn. Antoine would be annoyed with Sonic's immature behavior and would take any reasonable chance to knock him down a peg, and Sonic would nag Antoine with endless heckling. Both of them seem to have matured, though; With Antoine married to Bunnie Rabbot, both he and Sonic have buried the hatchet and are no longer feuding - though they sometimes poke fun at each other, with Sonic bringing up Antoine's past arrogance and cowardice while Antoine makes sly remarks about Sonic's lack of maturity. Patch D'Coolette; Antoine holds a grudge against Patch D'Coolette for trapping him on Moebius, killing his father, nearly killing King Max and nearly destroying his relationship with Bunnie. For this, he tries to take any opportunity he can to fight him to get justice for his late father, and making Bunnie see that she was glad the real Antoine committed his feeling for her.[53] Miles "Tails" Prower; Antoine knew Tails since the very first day he was born. On Tails' birthday, Antoine offered him a medal as a present, though Tails expected Sonic to come. While Tails knew that Antoine's stories are fake, he found them inspiring enough to listen to them. Each time Sonic is not around, Tails always went to Antoine to ask him anything. One night, he went to Antoine's to ask him to go to Robotropolis to look for his schoolbag that contained the Ring that Sonic gave him, so he went there and found Tails' schoolbag, and he was grateful in return.

    Romances= Bunnie Rabbot; Antoine's feelings for Bunnie Rabbot were slow to develop, given that at the time they first met he was intent on pursuing Princess Sally. However, he did take an obvious interest in her during their first encounter, and later thanked her with a kiss for coming to his aid several times during an ill-advised solo foray he made into Robotropolis. The two continued to bond through many difficult circumstances, from imprisonment in Downunda to battles against numerous foes, and the two grew into having a steady relationship.

    Their relationship was put on hold during Sonic's time in space, but only because Antoine had been transported to Moebius and replaced with his counterpart Patch who broke up with Bunnie. Upon being rescued by Sonic, Antoine returned to his relationship with Bunnie, gladly reuniting with her despite some attempts she had made to make his alternate self-jealous while under the impression that Patch was the real Antoine. He refused her offer to move in with her, however not long afterward, proposed marriage. The two were then married, their relationship growing even stronger as a result, to the point of Bunnie coming with him at the time of his father's death. Later, when Bunnie reminded him that he would once have been the first to look for a way out of a fight, he replied that she had given him the courage to face any challenge. Antoine's love for Bunnie was fully expressed when he asked her to be his wife, to which she readily agreed. Although he became a little nervous, the wedding went off without a hitch, and he and Bunnie were finally wed.

    Tatiana; When Antoine was a child growing up in Knothole, he fell in love with a young girl named Tatiana. She soon found out that all of the heroic deeds" Antoine" claimed to have done were actually performed by Sonic, and Antoine had lied to her in order to win over her affection. After discovering the truth, she told Antoine she no longer cared for him and walked off hand-in-hand with Sonic, leaving Antoine alone and broken hearted. Antoine did not see or hear from her, until many years later, when she wrote a letter to him asking to meet. However, Antoine publicly refused Tatiana's advances and acknowledged his preference for Bunnie's affection.

    Sally Acorn; Initially, Antoine was known to have had a crush on Princess Sally, but she largely rebuffed his advances, taking offense at his demeanor (it can be argued that Antoine never really loved Sally but pursued her so intently because his father was a big proponent for their marriage). This led to a very early rivalry with Sonic. Although it got very testy at times (for example, Antoine had Sonic tried for treason after the latter was roboticized and restored to normal), it rarely interfered with their resistance to Robotnik or any other threat.

42. #42Bunnie D'Coolette

    Overview=Bunnie D'Coolette (born 3219), birth name Bunnie Rabbot (rah-BOH, pronounced RAH-bot by her own choice),[5][6] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. She is a mobian rabbit and the wife of her teammate Antoine D'Coolette. Bunnie was among the many mobians subjected to Dr. Ivo Robotnik's Roboticizer after being captured by his SWATbots, though the process was interrupted by Freedom Fighter agents Sonic the Hedgehog and Rotor Walrus, thus only a portion of her body was roboticized. Bunnie accompanied them to Knothole where she joined the Knothole Freedom Fighters, remaining with the group through having her robotic limbs replaced and eventually having them briefly restored to a fully organic form.

    Appearance=Bunnie is a golden mobian rabbit with light orange-brown/blonde hair and vibrant emerald-green eyes. Her left ear is often flopped, though this is not a constant feature. Her eyelids (as well as around the eyes themselves) are generally violet or pink. She wears a pink-purple leotard with a black belt that covers the parts of her torso that are not robotic, leaving the upper chest and shoulders exposed. She was also partially roboticized: both legs, her left arm and shoulder are all robotic. In early issues of the comic, her robot parts were primitive-looking. It has been confirmed that her lower torso is also roboticized. As with many characters, her eyes were initially colored pale blue but were later established as green. Depending on the artist, her tail is either depicted as a metal ball, a white cottontail puff, or a general short tuft. Eventually her robotic parts were replaced with sleeker, more modern versions. Her hair, starting off as a tuft of bangs, grew to shoulder-length and then down to her waist; more recently she ties it back in a single and long braid or ponytail. Her general attire consists of a pink sleeveless shirt. She has occasionally been depicted in a pink summer dress, and for a few issues sported a red, sleeveless shirt with white polka dots, a white collar, and a knot tied in the front revealing her midriff, paired with cutoff jean short shorts, reminiscent of the character Daisy Duke from The Dukes of Hazzard. In addition to the pink leotard, she began wearing a brown jacket, pistol belt with twin revolvers (though she never uses the revolvers, relying on her cybernetics instead), a brown cowboy hat, and fingerless gloves, though she does not always wear them all together. For her wedding, she wore a elegant and white wedding dress with silver trim and lacing up the back with a single white glove; her hair was done in an updo and accented with a tiara. Affected by crystalline magic, her clothing and robotic parts became green crystal. Other outfit variations include a purple backpack and a pink sunhat adorned with a bow, a purple jacket, a green swimsuit top, a flower-print shirt and straw hat, and a pink robe. On occasion she is depicted with whiskers. While not always remembered by the artists, her wedding ring is sometimes visible.

    Early life=Bunnie was born in the Southern Baronies just before the Great War. Her parents died in the war, leaving her to be cared for by her Uncle Beauregard and Aunt Lulumae. Bunnie lived with them happily for many years, however she ran away from home after her uncle claimed her parents had died serving the Overland due to tensions between the Baronies and the Kingdom of Acorn. Unwilling to accept that her parents were traitors, Bunnie then worked to start her own farm near the kingdom's borders.[5]

    Becoming a Rab-"Bot"=During the early days of the war with Dr. Ivo Robotnik, a young Bunnie was about to be captured by a SWATbot. However, Antoine D'Coolette witnessed this, and pushed a rock down a hill, destroying the SWATbot and saving Bunnie.[7] As Robotnik began to expand his influence into the southern regions of Mobius, a group of SWATbots located and captured Bunnie, who was tending to a crop of carrots. After she was thrown into one of Robotnik's mobile Roboticizers, Sonic the Hedgehog and Rotor rescued Bunnie by shutting it down mid-way through the process. As a result, Bunnie's left arm and everything from the hips down were roboticized. In gratitude for them saving her life, along with wanting to serve her idol Sally Acorn, Bunnie put her new super-strength to work by joining the Knothole Freedom Fighters.[1] Quickly becoming comfortable with her new form, she even made a pun of her maiden name to describe her new identity.[5]

    Freedom Fighter=At one point, Robotnik attempted to use a machine called the Magnabot to capture Bunnie via her robotic parts and use her as bait to trap the other Freedom Fighters. Sonic was able to avert this threat, and Rotor applied a non-magnetic coating to Bunnie's cybernetic limbs to prevent future attempts of the sort.[8] Bunnie briefly achieved her dream of becoming a hairdresser when she opened a salon in Knothole called "Bunnie's", her first customer being none other than Sally. The only catch was she was only able to offer one kind of hairstyle to her clients; a mild electrical zap caused by her cybernetic foot coming into contact with a puddle of water which made the customer's hair stand on end.[9] Bunnie and the rest of the Freedom Fighters were forced to defend themselves when Sonic, having been brainwashed by Robotnik into thinking they were his enemies, launched a full-out assault on Knothole. Bunnie almost succeeded in subduing Sonic using her "Tight Leg Crush" (a leg scissor hold augmented by her cyber-strength), but Sonic ultimately managed to get free; he was able to knock her and almost all the other Freedom Fighters unconscious, before he too was finally knocked out by a sneak attack from one of Sally's trainees.[10][11] Some time later, Robotnik capitalized on her fears of becoming fully roboticized; using a hologram device, she convinced herself and others that a microdot in her roboticized body had activated, and was slowly finishing the job. As the circuitry crawled through her body like a virus, Bunnie started exhibiting violent behavior and realized she was losing her free will to Robotnik. Believing herself too much of a threat to remain in Knothole, a tearful (and fully-roboticized) Bunnie left a farewell note to her loved ones and fled into the night. However, it eventually turned out to be a bad dream, much to Bunnie's relief.[12]

    Mecha Madness=Not long after this, Sonic proposed that he let himself get roboticized while wearing a Neuro-Overrider device, so he would retain his free will and be able to decimate Robotnik's empire from the inside. Most of the Freedom Fighters strongly vetoed the plan, Bunnie included, due to her experience with roboticization. However, before Sonic could make another appeal for his plan, Nack the Weasel abducted him, and Robotnik roboticized Sonic without the neural overload device on him. Being the only Freedom Fighter who could match Mecha Sonic's robotic might, Bunnie took on her friend in a battle at Knothole, using some enhancements provided by Rotor, including rocket-powered flight as well as a blaster and a miniature shield generator in her arm.[13] Although Bunnie gave her all to protect Knothole, she was no match for Mecha Sonic and was badly beaten. Fortunately, Bunnie's assault wore Mecha Sonic down enough that the roboticized version of Knuckles the Echidna managed to defeat him once and for all.[14] Following Sonic's return to his organic self, the hedgehog was put on trial for the crimes as a Robian. A vengeful Bunnie served as his bailiff during his court-martial (the Freedom Fighters believed Sonic had disobeyed orders and gone through with the plan without permission). Bunnie's arm was fitted with a "Hedgehog Hunter" missile designed to seek out Sonic's unique aura, though she thankfully did not need to use it.[15]

    Working With Antoine=While out in the woods one night, the Freedom Fighters encountered the Wolf Pack, and the two groups discussed recent occurrences in the battle against Robotnik. Soon, suspicions began to arise and tempers flared; after accusations and even punches were thrown, Antoine walked off, upset. Bunnie decided to try to comfort him, telling him that she thought he was brave, and surprised him by giving him a kiss.[7] Despite various suspicions and misgivings, the Freedom Fighters, with support from the Wolf Pack, attempted an assault on Robotropolis. While Sonic and Sally lead the main assault, Bunnie and the others watched from a nearby rooftop; when Sally came under fire while attempting to climb up the side of a building, Bunnie set out to assist her. However, Sally's support line was cut, and she fell to the ground. Bunnie was the first to reach her, crying over the princess; after Doctor Quack announced that they needed to get Sally back to Knothole immediately, Bunnie picked the princess up and carried her back to the Freedom Fighters' plane. She was distraught when Sally was pronounced dead and Sonic accused of her death; her pragmatic nature didn't allow her to immediately dismiss the accusations, even though the situation upset her.[7] Later, during Operation: EndGame, Bunnie and Antoine were among the first to discover that Sally's supposed death and Sonic's imprisonment were part of a secret plot; however, before they could tell anyone else what they had learned, they were secretly captured by SWATbot under Drago Wolf's command. The two were sent to Downunda, where Robotnik's Sub-Boss Crocbot placed them in prison with the Downunda Freedom Fighters.[16][17] Fortunately, Crocbot's precautions (which included restraints that would kill Antoine if Bunnie broke free using her robotic limbs) were not applied to her organic arm, allowing her to break free and also liberate the other captives. Following this, Bunnie and Antoine made their way aboard an airbus carrying irradiated ore for Robotnik's Ultimate Annihilator weapon. Once on board the ship, the two discovered Dr. Robotnik's plans to use the weapon. Arriving in Robotropolis via the airbus, Antoine lured the Combot leader (armed with a thermo-nuclear device provided by Crocbot) into a trap, allowing Bunnie to destroy it. They then stole the thermo-nuclear device and made their way through the city, hoping to use the bomb to destroy the Ultimate Annihilator before it was fired. Bumping into Sonic along the way, Bunnie and Antoine explained their plans to him before Sonic went to face off against Robotnik. Bunnie then took out a SWATbot guarding the weapon, allowing Antoine access to it. Before he could plant the thermo-nuclear bomb however, the Ultimate Annihilator fired and presumably destroyed Knothole (however, due to Snively's tampering, the blast actually displaced Knothole, shifting it within a pocket zone three hours in the future). Following this Antoine planted the bomb to destroy the weapon, and both he and Bunnie fled from Robotropolis. Following Robotnik's death and Sally's return, they then celebrated along with the other Freedom Fighters, revealing the story of their adventures over a campfire.[18][19]

    Upgrade=Eventually it was discovered that Bunnie's robotic limbs were unable to continue working in harmony with her central nervous system, and that something had to be done. Bunnie was given the choice between having all of her parts disconnected, chancing de-roboticization at the risk of her life, or having her parts replaced with new ones but foregoing any chance to ever be de-roboticized since she would in essence be having her "real" limbs amputated. After talking it over with Antoine, she decided to have her robotic parts replaced. Nate Morgan performed the upgrade, which provided Bunnie with superior cybernetic parts and saved her life.[20] Bunnie's first real test of her new limbs did not occur until the Freedom Fighters' first mission to the Hidden City of the Ancients where she put them to good use by rescuing numerous citizens from Perfect Chaos' wrath.[21]

    Once she returned to Knothole, Bunnie then went with Antoine to Mercia to look for his father, along with Amy Rose.[22] With help from Rob O' the Hedge and Knuckles, they were able to recover Antoine's father from Albion and Bunnie kept him under guard as they flew home.[23][24][25] Some time afterward, Bunnie (in a change of attire) began attending Knothole Highschool with the other former Freedom Fighters.[26] She later accompanied Sonic when he sneaked out at night to Robotropolis to try saving the Overlanders that Robotnik had tricked into going there, only to find them living comfortably in the city, much to Sonic and Bunnie's puzzlement. She and Sonic then come upon a maddened Warlord Kodos fighting Uma Arachnis in the Great Forest. Sonic forced Bunnie to return to Knothole, fearing she might get hurt if the two of them got caught up in the battle.[27]

    Later, Sonic and Bunnie were sent to stop Dr. Eggman from building a new body for himself in Old Megaopolis, Bunnie took on the role of discovering what became of G.U.N. agent Rouge the Bat. Although a fight started when Rouge mistook Bunnie for a SWATbot, the fight became personal as the two duked it out. Eventually Sonic stepped in and broke it up.[28]

    Bunnie was later attacked and imprisoned by Jack Rabbit after responding to a fake transmission asking for help. The message was intended to lure Sonic, but Jack decided to use Bunnie to bait Sonic instead and locked her up in an impenetrable cell with the savage Robians that had overrun Sand Blast City after its shield was destroyed. Despite the odds against her, Bunnie single-handedly fought off the Robians and managed to break free from her cell, leaving the Robians to attack Jack and his Freedom Fighters once again while Bunnie escaped.[29]

    Due to her nature as a cyborg rather than a full Robian, Bunnie, along with Jules Hedgehog, was left unaffected by the worldwide de-roboticization caused by Ceneca 9009; as a result, the two were the only members of the Mobian population to retain their Roboticized bodies (though Bunnie's limbs had by this point been replaced and upgraded).[30]

    Bunnie, along with every other able-bodied Mobian, was also involved in the battle against the Xorda, though they were unable to breech the defenses of the Quantum Dial. She was later seen mourning along with her comrades when Sonic appeared to have died destroying the doomsday weapon.[31]

    After the Xorda Like the other Freedom Fighters, Bunnie went through a number of changes during Sonic's absence, including a harsh breakup with "Antoine" for unknown reasons which left her emotionally scarred.[32] Her efforts to make up with him through a letter met with failure;[33] regardless, she was among the many who greeted Sonic warmly upon his return.[34]

    Bunnie and the other Freedom Fighters later traveled to Old Megaopolis to back up Sonic in preventing Dr. Eggman from launching nuclear missiles targeted at Station Square and Knothole from his aircraft carrier anchored in the harbor.[35] After saving a wounded Sonic from Mecha, Bunnie proceeded to single-handedly destroy Eggman's carrier, punching so many holes in the ship that it sank and exploded, taking the nuclear threat along with it.[36][37] Some time later, she and her other teammates worked together to stop Robotnik from unleashing a force of Auto Automatons, with Bunnie engaging and defeating an automaton copy of Sally.[38][39] She and the others would then officially welcome Amy Rose into the group,[40] though her continued sorrow over breaking up with Antoine led her to send in a letter to the Knothole News column "Dear Aly."[41] Bunnie then joined her teammates in investigating a bunker predating the Days of Fury, suffering through electrocution before being rescued by Tommy Turtle and fleeing the dangerous location.[42][43][44][45] She also took part in a rather dubiously cast play put on for the Knothole children, playing Geoffrey St. John while her own character was notably absent.

    When Evil Sonic impersonated his Mobius Prime counterpart, Bunnie was one of many women in Knothole whom he approached. Though Bunnie did spend quite some time with him, it would later be revealed that it was all an attempt to stir up "Antoine's" jealousy.[46][47][48] Her efforts continued for a brief time after Sonic reclaimed his identity,[47] such as when several of the female Freedom Fighters - including Bunnie - accompanied Sonic on a mission to investigate and neutralize a swarm of nanites unleashed by A.D.A.M. that were overrunning everything in their path.[49] During the investigation, Bunnie was captured by the nanites, which intended to absorb her into the 'contiguity', the nanites' collective consciousness. She was saved when Sonic arrived and convinced the nanites that she could not be absorbed since she's a fusion of both organic and cybernetic material and therefore incompatible with the contiguity, thus prompting the nanites to release Bunnie unharmed.[49] Later, after training with the other Chaotix and Freedom Fighters, Bunnie would attend a concert put on by Mina Mongoose, only to have to put out a fire caused by a failed attempt on Mina's life.[50] She and the other Freedom Fighters then worked together to protect Mina from the latest versions of Heavy and Bomb.[51]

    Bunnie would later go to Sonic with the news that Antoine and Sally were due to be married, and later attended the wedding with uncontrollable sobbing.[52] Fortunately, Sonic was able to determine the truth behind Antoine's exchanging places with his alternate self, and brought the real Antoine home to an overjoyed Bunnie.[53] The reunited couple and their teammates were then forced to defend Knothole from the threat of the Metal Sonic Troopers, and succeeded with the help of Shadow the Hedgehog.[54][55][56] They then gathered at Freedom HQ to celebrate Sonic's birthday, only to be forced into a battle with first Bark the Polar Bear and Bean the Dynamite and then Scourge the Hedgehog.[57][58] Unbeknownst to Bunnie, she was also among several inhabitants of Knothole to be infected with A.D.A.M.'s nanites, which he was able to control after they were taken by the Freedom Fighters.[59] Worse, they were then forced to contend with the return of several major villains, first fighting off the Destructix to protect Merlin Prower.[60] Almost immediately afterwards, Mammoth Mogul escaped from the Chaos Emerald in Merlin's charge, defeating the Freedom Fighters before freeing the Destructix. Bunnie then joined her teammates, the Chaotix, Elias Acorn, Merlin, and Sir Connery in battling Mogul, the Destructix, the recently freed Ixis Naugus, and the Arachne Clan, the two supervillains clashing briefly with each other before teaming up.[61] Fortunately, Sir Connery was able to destroy the Source of All artifacts each villain had claimed, though at the cost of his life, and the Freedom Fighters were saved by Dr. Eggman as his Egg Fleet teleported the villains to his Egg Grape Chambers.[62]

    When A.D.A.M. finally implemented his own master plan, Bunnie and the others infected with nanites became pawns. She was forced to smash a computer terminal from which NICOLE was attempting to analyze the situation and purge the nanites, and then throw Tails outside where Jules Hedgehog, also under control, was waiting to take him to the 'city' the nanites had constructed during their initial rampage. During it all, she begged the others to stop her, and Knuckles the Echidna, the Crocodile, and Mighty the Armadillo were forced to hold her down while Rotor took her cybernetic limbs offline; however, the damage had already been done.[59] Fortunately, A.D.A.M. was subsequently destroyed, and Bunnie was soon returned to normal.[63] At about this time, she approached Antoine as he struggled to piece things back together after Patch's destruction of virtually everything important to him. She offered to let him move in with her, but he refused to do so unless they were married, and the two were then called to his father's deathbed. The dying General wished the two happiness, forgiving Bunnie completely for her attempts to provoke Antoine by getting involved with Sonic.[48] Subsequently, Antoine proposed to Bunnie, which she accepted after overcoming her initial shock. The two then took part in a sting operation to capture villains lured in by the prospect of an auction of the Master Emerald held by Rouge the Bat, the mission resulting in the capture of Nack the Weasel, Bark the Polar Bear, Bean the Dynamite, Naugus, and Mogul. While lying in wait for the latter mission, she spoke with Sally, as the two hadn't worked together in the field in a long time. Sally had been having emotional problems in the past year, and admitted as much, which Bunnie was glad to hear as she'd been long worried for her friend. Their conversation was cut short as the villains arrived; Bunnie and Sally took down Nack the Weasel, and Bunnie later subdued Naugus with a single punch. With all the villains captured, the happy couple then asked Sonic and Sally to take part in their wedding as best man and maid of honor.[64]

    Marital Challenges Bunnie and Antoine were married without incident by Elias Acorn, Bunnie enjoying the wonderful event and the opportunity to spend quality time with her friends, teasing Sally over her own wedding prospects.[65] Shortly afterwards, however, Bunnie and Antoine were both captured by Eggman during the destruction of Knothole, but both were freed quickly in a rescue mission devised by NICOLE and transported to a new home in New Mobotropolis.[66][67] Bunnie soon did Sally a favor by cutting her hair back to its original length, representing Sally's hopes of returning to the good old days of the Freedom Fighters, and realizing her dream of becoming Sally's hairdresser. She then joined the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix in battle under Sally's command, using the laser cannon in her arm to help obliterate Eggman's Egg Beater power armor.[68] She was also one of several Freedom Fighters who were part of a mass attack launched at the new Enerjak, but like most of her allies was unable to even land a blow on him due to his immense powers.[69]

    The Suppression Squad, led by King Scourge the Hedgehog and Queen Fiona Fox, launched a surprise attack on Freedom HQ, performing a daring invasion of the base.[70] Though the others were initially surprised and quickly over-whelmed, Bunnie and Antoine, already present on the base in an failed attempt to re-arrest Nack the Weasel, successfully fought back, and soon a pitched battle ensued. Bunnie, despite wanting to settle the score with Patch along with Antoine, was concerned he was becoming obsessed with revenge on Patch for killing his father. Antoine, however, assuaged her fears by explaining his insistence to duel Patch was to ensure he would not kill her, as Bunnie was now the only reason Antoine had to keep on living. Patch, Miles Prower and Boomer overheard this and, while Boomer disarmed and restrained Antoine, Patch himself restrained and held his sword to Bunnie's throat, interested in the idea to kill Antoine's wife in a further attempt to hurt him. Before Patch could slit Bunnie's throat, however, Sonic knocked all three to the ground and freed them. When the base became dangerously close to collapse due to the crossfire, the Freedom Fighters were forced to retreat, with Bunnie covering them with her forcefield generator, but was overpowered and injured by Boomer as they fled.[71]

    Bunnie later joined the other Freedom Fighters-minus Sonic and Amy, who traveled to Moebius seeking aid against the Suppression Squad-in meeting with Miles, who proposed an alliance between them to defeat Scourge.[72] The Freedom Fighters then returned to Freedom HQ and teamed up with their counterparts to battle Scourge and his lone remaining ally, Fiona Fox. Sonic then arrived from Moebius to help, only for the Suppression Squad to attempt to trap both Hedgehogs on the alternate world.[73] The Freedom Fighters and Suppression Squad then followed them there, only to end up battling Super Scourge, though he was eventually defeated and both groups returned to their respective zones.[74][75] With that task accomplished, Bunnie was dispatched as part of the team to make the final push against Eggman, and assisted in capturing a piece of land outside the Eggdome for the Freedom Fighters to use a camp by using her force field to protect the others, and later helping Sonic get higher and higher into the air until Eggman's new Egg Phoenix stalled out.[76][77]

    The next day, she and Mighty helped break into the Eggdome by using their super strength to smash through the wall to let Sonic in and then assisted in fending off the Dark Egg Legion. Eventually, they found that the Legion had stopped fighting back, and the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix made their way further into the base; however, they soon found a barricade made of junk stopping them from going any further, save for a small hole perfect for Sonic to spin-dash through. Reasoning that this is a trap and that they would be too tired to fight Eggman if they tore it down, Sonic went through the barrier alone.[78] On the other side, Sonic managed to defeat Eggman, who, due to his many defeats, unexpectedly went insane. After Bunnie and Mighty tore down the barricade, she and the others walked in to find Eggman defeated and incapacitated; they had won the war. They then returned home to celebrate, leaving Eggman in the care of Snively, who, unbeknown to them, was going to take control of the Eggman Empire alongside the Iron Queen.[79]

    Facing the Iron Dominion Later, Bunnie, along with almost the entire population of New Mobotropolis, attended Mina Mongoose's victory concert; however, it was cut short by the arrival of Monkey Khan who announced that despite the defeat of Robotnik, a new threat had taken his place in the form of the Iron Dominion.[80] When the Freedom Fighters tried to repel an assault from the Iron Queen, she used her powers of Magitek to take control of Bunnie's robotic limbs. Powerless to stop herself, Bunnie nevertheless struggled with all her might to keep herself from hurting her friends too badly, especially as she came close to running Antoine through with her robotic arm. Sonic attempted to help her by steering her into a cell NICOLE constructed of Nanites; she had only a brief moment of relief before realizing the Iron Queen had activated her arm cannon, blasting her from the cell. Noticing that Bunnie was beginning to tire, Regina realized that Bunnie's weapons and operation power were connected to her life-force and that overexertion would kill her; she tried to force Bunnie to fire another large cannon shot. However, Bunnie was saved by Monkey Khan at the last moment; upon losing consciousness, Sonic rushed her to Freedom HQ to get her away from the Queen's influence.[81] Later, Bunnie was relocated to the Tommy Turtle Memorial Hospital to undergo treatment and recover.[82]

    While there, she was visited by a guilt-ridden Monkey Khan, who apologized for what happened to her, with Bunnie being quick to forgive him.[83] Later, he escorted her to the border of New Mobotropolis after the other Freedom Fighters had thwarted an attempt by the Iron Dominion to recapture an escaped Dr. Eggman, and the two taunted their former manipulator.[84] After returning home (though still taking it easy and under Antoine's care), Bunnie was visited by Sally, who was beginning to question her relationship with Monkey Khan and had come seeking advice. Bunnie encouraged Sally to move forward, as she and Sonic had made amends.[85]

    Later, as the Iron Dominion invaded New Mobotropolis after NICOLE fell to the influence of Magitek, Bunnie was warned to flee the city to prevent her from being controlled again. Antoine in particular encouraged her to leave with Vector the Crocodile and Mighty with other civilians (who were being evacuated via Warp Ring), and Bunnie remarked how funny it was that he was staying behind when he would once have been the first to flee. Despite her husband's insistence, Bunnie remained behind and stood with him against the forces of the Dominion. Unfortunately, the two were then captured by Iron NICOLE, who used the city's nanites to subdue them.[86] Later, when NICOLE's true self was restored by Sally, the AI became a double agent, constructing a secret bunker within the captured city; it was here Bunnie was forced to hide, feeling herself a liability in the fight against the Iron Queen despite wanting to be on the front-lines.[87]

    An Overdue Honeymoon (Or Not) With the Iron Queen imprisoned in the Dragon Kingdom, Tails offered Bunnie and Antoine a chance to finally celebrate their wedding- with a well-deserved honeymoon.[88] As a result, the trio were not present to join Sonic and Sally in becoming members of the newly formed Wolf Pack Nation.[89] With additional passenger compartments installed onto a rebuilt Sea Fox, Tails brought the two of them out to the remote atoll of Cocoa Island where he kept his workshop. Bunnie was slightly concerned when Tails noticed a third sister island not on his map, but put it out of her mind once they beached on the shoreline. As Bunnie and Antoine went their own way on the beach, they lightly joked about Tails' fears that they would be bored, and spent the day exploring the beach and ocean, enjoying the beautiful scenery in each other's company. After a heart-to-heart about the thought that they might have rushed into their marriage, the two agreed that it had been the right decision.[88]

    Unfortunately, they then came under attack from the Battle Bird Armada, who set the jungle on fire and ambushed them in a raid. Forced into battle, Bunnie proved that the technology of her cyborg limbs was superior to that of their attackers' weaponry, but both she and Antoine were then subdued and captured by the Armada's Mole Mech.[88] The next day, Bunnie was taken from her cell to meet Battlekukku XV who mistook her for a Dark Egg Legion member. Deciding to use the mistake to her advantage, Bunnie gained useful intel on the Armada's history, and their ties to the Eggman Empire & the Babylon Rogues. She and the Battle Lord were then alerted by Speedy, the Battle Lord's son, about Antoine escaping from his cell, which forced Bunnie to pursue. As she argued with Speedy over who had authority in the situation, the unfortunate Antoine became convinced that Bunnie's deception was reality. Bunnie's efforts to make him come along quietly were met with the reminder of Silver's mention of a Freedom Fighter traitor & her suggesting a honeymoon, and she watched in horror as he threw himself out of an escape hatch and plummeted to the sea below.[90]

    Bunnie was then stopped by Speedy, questioning her emotional reaction. She angrily told him how she now had to do "damage control", berated him about not being able to keep their prisoners captive, and then left to report to the Battle Lord. She was later dispatched to deal with intruders in the Armada's invasion conduit, but saved Tails and Antoine during their assault against a unit of Armada guards. Thanking Tails for saving her husband, Bunnie gave the base schematics to his T-Pup and then presented Antoine with a sabre she took from the Armada's armory. The trio then proceeded into the base's storage bay, where Dr. Fukurokov confronted them and (after a failed attempt by Bunnie and the others to pronounce his name) sent his Mole Mech to attack them.[91] During the battle, Bunnie implemented part of Tails' plan by breaking through the upper walls of the bay to weaken the structure's integrity. With the Mole Mech destroyed, the trio made for the lower tunnels to escape the base, only to find that it was really a flying fortress as it left the island's vicinity. After their escape, Bunnie, along with Tails and Antoine, enjoyed some hot cocoa in the young fox's cabin and toasted each other to their vacation.[92]

    The Great Desert Reunion After Bunnie arrived back in New Mobotropolis, Sally sent her and Sonic on a mission into the Great Desert to respond to a call for aid sent from Sand Blast City.[6][93] Like Sonic, Bunnie was less than pleased at the notion of encountering them again, though she agreed they knew what to expect better than anyone else. While flying over the desert alongside Sonic, Bunnie flew off ahead of him to the city, only to find her robotic limbs suddenly shorting out and plummeted from the sky.[6] When she later awoke, she found herself on a cot with two Legionnaires seated nearby. Assuming she was a prisoner of the Dark Egg Legion's local chapter, she grabbed one while the other went off yelling for "the Baron." Before she could make another move, Bunnie was shocked to find her Uncle Beauregard Rabbot, whom she hadn't seen for years, and they warmly embraced. Bunnie was confused to find her uncle to be the chapter's Grandmaster, but explained her partial roboticization to him nonetheless, as well as her time as a Freedom Fighter and her recent marriage, leaving him proud and astonished. When Beau brought up some disdain for the family she married into though, Bunnie pointedly defended her husband and asked him to not "start" what was apparently an old debate between them, to which Beauregard relented. Bunnie then listened as Beauregard explained his chapter's situation of the Sand-Blasters turning on them after they were de-roboticized and then being forced to run Eggman's Oil Ocean Refinery in exchange for protection from them, to which she told her uncle she understood, promising to help.[6] Bunnie left for the refinery as part of a caravan of Legion saucers the next day, trying to reassure Beau she had no qualms fighting the Sand Blasters. She received an abrupt shock then, when Sonic jumped onto the saucer and struck her uncle as he believed Bunnie was the Legion's prisoner and came with the Sand Blasters to "rescue" her. He was thus caught by surprise when Bunnie flung him away and into the refinery's oil pits. She flew after Sonic, telling him that she couldn't allow the Sand Blasters to take over the refinery and the two began to fight.[6] As they grappled, Bunnie and Sonic each made their point that they neither group could control the refinery as it would end badly for the other, and resumed their fight - using the battle as a pretense to destroy as much of the refinery as possible and leave it useless to both sides. Eventually, both factions realized the ruse and moved in, starting a large battle. Eager to still waste the refinery without being overwhelmed, Sonic and Bunnie jumped into the fray, with Bunnie taking out Tex and ruining an ambush from Shift E. Wolf. However, neither saw Jack Rabbit and Avery about to strike until the Baron foiled their sneak attack. Bunnie noticed her uncle dealing with Jack and ran over to him, but was accused of putting his chapter's lives at risk, only for her to reply that had happened when he sided with Eggman.[94] With the refinery destroyed by a wayward rocket of Avery's, Beauregard claimed Bunnie had doomed them all, but she insisted they instead kept the Sand Blasters from taking over, struck a blow to Eggman's plans, and diverted the blame from the Legion by getting Sonic involved. Realizing she would some day have to face him as a Freedom Fighter, Bunnie still didn't want their time together to end in "another fight" as they sadly bid each other good-bye, no longer recognizing each other as family. With Sonic's encouragement that they did the right thing by technically stopping the "bad guys" and helping a group of people in a bad situation, Bunnie agreed and suggested they head home.[94]

    Naugus uprising and the Death Egg=With leftover tension from the city's occupation mounting, Bunnie joined the other Freedom Fighters while staking out Mina's free concert when Geoffrey St. John and Ixis Naugus showed up, preaching to be able to protect the citizens against NICOLE. When Sally gave the order to attack Geoffrey, he managed to dodge her attacks and briefly took her out with a chop to her jaw. After hearing that Hershey was dead, Bunnie resumed her attack with the others and tried to ensnare St. John in her extending arm, but could not to stop him. Sally eventually convinced Geoffrey to stand down and let justice takes its course, and had Antoine and Bunnie keep him under watch.[95][96] Bunnie then witnessed the Death Egg Mark 2 arrive over the city and co-piloted the Freedom Fighter Special with Antoine once Sally ordered a hasty counterattack. Bunnie was unable to do much after that though, due to the aerial weapon's laser defenses, and flew around dodging them while Sonic and Sally, aboard the Tornado, managed to enter the Death Egg.[97]

    Personality=Sweet, beautiful, gentle and maternal, Bunnie always looks for the brighter side of life and tries not to let the "lil' thangs" get to her. She's an optimist by nature and has a soft feminine charm and speaks in a heavy southern accent. She's somewhat pragmatic and down to earth, though she's also a good-natured flirt. Despite her girly ways, she has a tomboyish streak in her, especially when it comes to her love of sports (martial arts in particular). She's no pushover from either a physical or a mental standpoint, having a strong sense of courage and determination, and she enjoys competition, though she's never a sore loser. She holds deep love for her friends and family and while she's not afraid to speak her mind, she has their best interests in mind and is always willing to offer her support. Since being roboticized, Bunnie has had mixed feelings about the experience. Though she has struggled with being a cyborg, she appreciated the abilities her mechanical limbs provided and their usefulness in the fight against Robotnik. One of her most difficult moments came when she learned that her body was rejecting her Roboticized parts. Faced with either a potentially lethal de-roboticization attempt, having her parts disconnected from her, or receiving an upgrade that would make it impossible for her to ever be de-roboticized, she was overcome with turmoil. However, her desire to help defend Mobius won out, and with Antoine's support, she chose to be upgraded. Much later, after Ixis Naugus has crystallized her limbs, he undid the process and inadvertently returned Bunnie to a fully organic state. Though excited to be normal, she soon began to feel insecure after realizing all of her newly founded abilities that came with her former metallic parts were gone. But thanks to Antoine, who had helped her through both life-changing experiences, she was able to regain her composure and carry on her life as a Freedom Fighter. Unfortunately, she soon recognized her diminished abilities in battle, and after Antoine was badly injured and left comatose, she blamed herself.

    Powers and abilities=Bunnie is partly-roboticized. As such, she had tremendous strength in her mechanical limbs and could extend them several times their length to improve her reach. She had good reflexes and sharp hearing as well, though she wasn't much of a swimmer. She has Sole Thrusters in her feet for flight and her left arm equipped with Pulse Cannon with a force-field generator. In addition she is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, specifically judo[5] and also said to be knowledgeable in karate[1], which was only enhanced by her robotics. She even stalemated Rouge the Bat during their first encounter.[28] The abilities of the fully flesh-and-blood Bunnie were never fully seen. Presumably she retained her hand-to-hand combat skills and the various skills/traits unrelated to her former cyborg status, though she struggled to get used to fighting without her robotic limbs. Bunnie showed to be way more confident in her usage of Extreme Gear than Antoine, who, despite is unconfidence, was able to ride it well enough to fight badniks and even Metal Sonic. After Bunnie succumbed to Dr. Robotnik's Magnabot, Rotor removed her vulnerability to magnetic fields and coated Bunnie's limbs with his invention so no magnets can effect her. Her robotic hand is outfitted with doses of her aunt Lulumae's ointment, which is able to cure poisons.

    Weaknesses=Bunnie's cybernetic nature would at times prove to be a liability. Magnets could be used to restrain her and EMP (electro magnetic pulse) blasts could disable her limbs, which would render her helpless. Furthermore, she is susceptible to forces that can take control of technology, such as A.D.A.M.'s nanites[59] or the Iron Queen's Magitek. The magnetic weakness is known to have been somewhat addressed by Rotor, who created an anti-magnetic coating for Bunnie's limbs.[8] Having been only half-roboticized, her robotic limbs lacked an actual battery; as such, overuse of her more powerful abilities, such as her laser cannon and shield generator, could greatly tire her out, and extreme overexertion had the potential to kill her.

    Overview { Miles Prower (born day 297, 3225), better known by his nickname Tails, is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a mobian two-tailed fox, born on the day of Dr. Ivo Robotnik's takeover of Mobotropolis. Since he was young, Tails has been at Sonic's side, helping him and the Knothole Freedom Fighters defeat Dr. Robotnik and other evil forces. Unbeknownst to Tails for many years, he was also destined to become the "Chosen One" by the Ancient Walkers to fulfill a prophecy. With guidance from Athair, Tails eventually fulfilled the prophecy and stopped Mammoth Mogul from destroying the multiverse, and also helped bring about the Great Harmony of the Chaos Emeralds. He continues to be at Sonic's side in stopping the forces of evil, though he is also a heroic Freedom Fighter in his own right. };

    1 Appearance Tails is a mobian fox with the unique mutation giving him two tails instead of one. He was originally colored with brown and cream fur, but later adopted his game colors of amber and white, though his family members remain brown. His eyes, initially simple black like other characters, gained sky blue irises around the time of the Sonic Adventure redesign. Typically, his attire consists simply of white gloves and red shoes with white toes and gray soles. He has occasionally worn other outfits, including battle armor based on Horizont-Al's robot appearance and a tuxedo at Bunnie and Antoine's wedding. };

    History { Early life=Miles, son of Amadeus and Rosemary Prower, was born on the same day as Dr. Robotnik's takeover of Mobotropolis. Just prior to the coup, Amadeus had discovered the mad scientist's nefarious scheme, but was thrown into the roboticizer before he was able to warn the kingdom.[4] After giving birth, Rosemary was subsequently brought in by SWATbots to also be roboticized, but just before the process occurred, the alien race known as the Bem transported the two foxes off world. Their fate was unknown to everyone on Mobius until Sonic uncovered the truth during his time in space, so for years, Miles assumed his parents died during Robotnik's takeover.

    Miles was sent to the sanctuary of Knothole along with the majority of Mobotropolis' orphaned children, and was raised by Rosie Woodchuck. This responsibility was later passed onto Sally Acorn as she got older, leading the young fox to call her "Aunt Sally" on occasion. By the age of four, Miles had received his nickname "Tails" due to his mysterious double tails. He also discovered his ability to fly with them from an idea Sonic had gotten to make them spin around like helicopter blades. This in turn also lead to him and the others finding a limestone cavern in the Great Forest that would eventually be used by the group they found that day- the Knothole Freedom Fighters.[6] On a winter day sometime after this, Tails and the other children got caught up in a strange event that sent them into a pocket zone caused by a Power Ring they found. While Sonic and Sally each had their own adventure, Tails had a shared experience with Rotor and Antoine. As he pointed out it seemed like they were meant to stick together like a team, this indicated to the Ancient Walkers who watched them from a higher plane that Tails was a potential individual of great destiny. Freedom Fighter and Solo Adventures=Once he became old enough, Tails joined the other Freedom Fighters in their efforts against Robotnik. For all his technical knowledge and training, he was thought to be too inexperienced to participate in the more dangerous missions for some time. One time, he eagerly welcomed Sonic back from an outing so he would hear about his battles with Robotnik's robots. He even attempted to the others how he had been practicing to run like Sonic, only to stumble and fall. When it was then revealed that a water leak threatened to flush the Knothole Freedom Fighters out of hiding, Tails came with them on their subsequent investigation, eventually discovering that Weeping Willow Trees were behind their water problem. Immediately after, Tails and the others were attacked by Robotnik and Buzzbomber, but Sonic drove them off, allowing Tails and the Freedom Fighters to fix the issue with the Weeping Willow Trees.[7]

    Later, while out with Sonic, Tails found Sally on the edge of the Great Forest, demanding to be left alone. Suspicious, Tails went with Sonic to Antoine for answers, who revealed that Sally was heading out to negotiate her father's release with Robotnik. Tails, Sonic, and Antoine tried to stop Sally, but she insisted on going through with it. Undeterred, the trio decided to rescue Sally anyway, only to get caught in a cage. After Sonic broke them free, the trio went to Robotnik, Inc. There, Tails helped Antoine steal Robotnik's handgun while Sonic rescued Sally from a roboticizer. After the quartet had escaped back to Freedom HQ though, Sally revealed that she planned to get thrown into the roboticizer with a device made by Rotor that would have let them analyze the machine so they could reverse the roboticization procedure. Tails was thus left to apologize for his foolish mistake.[8] Later, Tails and Rotor went out to meet up with Sonic at the Ol' Fishin' Hole, only to find Sonic missing and everything at the fishing site chewed up. With Rotor retrieving his Bathysphere, he and Tails went underwater, where they found Sonic about to drown while Jaws watched. Firing air-producing torpedos at Jaws, the pair rescued Sonic, who proceeded to ruin Jaws' roboticization operation. After that, Tails and his friends went back on land for lunch.[9]

    While at the Ol' Fishin' Hole, Tails met Sonic, who leapt into the lake in search of a Freedom Emerald. With Tails accidentally getting dragged into the lake with Sonic, the pair got attacked by Jaws. During their escape, they found the emerald. Tails then set up a trap for Jaws that the Badnik fell for, allowing him and Sonic to escape. Tails was then left to bring the Freedom Emerald back to Freedom HQ while Sonic searched for others. Back in HQ, with Antoine having brought another emerald to them, Tails saw Sonic arrive with the remaining ones, and Tails watched as the crown was restored and handed over to Sally.[10] Soon after, Tails was in the Great Forest when Sally came to him for protection when a seemingly robotic Sonic came after her. When Sonic ran away though, Tails was praised by Sally for his bravery. Starstruck, Tails began spreading news of what just happened, which were picked up from him by Buzzbomber.[11]

    Later, in Freedom HQ, while the other Knothole Freedom Fighters dealt with the newly-appeared Krudzu, Tails watered the plant's discarded vines when he mistook them for cuttings. However, Tails' action revealed the Krudzu as a machine made by Robotnik when the water made the vines short-circuit. The group's problem with the Krudzu spreading through the forest was soon after solved when a rainfall destroyed the mechanical weed. Soon after, Tails and his team called in Sonic to fold a map for them. Tails later saw Sonic return from Renobotnik in time to help Antoine open a child-proof cap.[12]

    Tails would later accompany Sonic on a run when they were attacked by Coconuts. However, by working together, he and Sonic defeated Coconuts. When the Super Special Sonic Search and Smash Squad then came after Sonic, the hedgehog had Tails go back to Knothole Village while he dealt with the squad. Not long after, Tails observed Sonic's confrontation with Universalamander on the Great Forest Monitor, which ended in Sonic's victory. During their subsequent victory feast, Tails saw Sonic play a prank on Antoine. When Sonic later took a nap, Tails seized the opportunity to play the big hero in Sonic's place. Along the way, he got captured by Badniks, but he managed to escape and destroy his captors. Getting overconfident, Tails attempted to take on Robotnik himself in Robotnik, Inc., only to get himself knocked out and nearly roboticized by SWATbots. Fortunately, Sonic arrived in time to rescue Tails and get him to safety before the SWATbots could self-detonate. When the Knothole Freedom Fighters were later convinced to compete in the Robotropolis Olympic Games, Tails wanted to join the team in the competition, only for his hopes to get shot down. Instead, he turned to making a statue of Sonic when he won the games. While rummaging through the Robotropolis Junkyard however, Tails found Sonic's Sneakers. Knowing Sonic needed them to win the games, Tails quickly brought the sneakers back to Sonic, allowing him to ensure his team's victory in the games. Soon after, Tails witnessed the arrival of a robotic Termite-Nator made by Robotnik in Freedom HQ, which threatened to devour the Great Forest. Fortunately, Sonic stopped it, and Rotor rewired it into eating metal before sending it back to Robotnik.[13]

    When later launching an attack on Robotnik, Inc., Tails and his team discovered that Robotnik had moved his operations to the Veg-O-Fortress, which prompted Sonic to head there. Put on hover patrol by Sally, Tails pursued Sonic and rescued him when he was rejected from the fortress.[14] Later, Tails had an accident in Freedom HQ that led to the discovery of a treasure map leading to Chuck's most important treasure. Hoping it was an invention that could defeat Robotnik, Tails and his friends went in search of it in Mobius Natural Park, only to get attacked by Robotnik, who wanted the treasure for himself, and his Badniks. Tails himself was nearly attacked by Burrobot, but was saved by Sonic. Though Robotnik got away with the treasure in the end after Tails and his friends found it, Sonic had realized that the treasure was just his bronzed baby shoes moments before.[15] Not long after, Tails got ready to attend the annual Fright Night Party.[16]

    A while later, Tails watched Sonic's battles with the Super-powered 'Bots on the R.B.V. After Sonic's victory over the bots, Tails would celebrate it with his friends.[17] Tails and his team later went to the Mobius Concert Hall to get some music instruments after getting a music performance from Sonic. There, the group was shrunk by Robotnik, who attempted to suck them into a Port-O-Bot. When Sonic got trapped inside Robotnik's Pest Buster while keeping Tails and the others from getting sucked up, the group worked together to keep Robotnik from roboticizing Sonic. As the shrinking effect then wore off, Tails and his team chased off Robotnik before using his shrinking device on the Badniks that the doctor summoned to the concert hall, rendering them harmless.[18] Back in Freedom HQ, Tails later witnessed the arrival of Pseudo-Sonic. Before the robot could give Robotnik the coordinates for Knothole Village though, Tails used a trick Sonic taught him to short-circuit Pseudo-Sonic with static electricity. Tails would then watch Rotor analyze Pseudo-Sonic's remains while awaiting the real Sonic's return.[19] When later celebrating Sally's birthday, Tails observed Sally's less-than-stellar reception to Thorny.[20]

    When a mission to steal power from Robotropolis later went wrong, Tails and his team encountered a Nerb, allowing them to flee to the underground town of Nerberhood to avoid Robotnik's forces. However, when the Nerbs refused to help them despite suffering from Robotnik's actions, Tails and his team tried going home. Along the way though, Tails and his team found a way to an underground operation being carried out by Robotnik. After Sonic foiled Robotnik's operation, Tails and the others were made honorary Nerbs by the Nerb King.[21] Later, while Tails and his team looked for a spot for their annual picnic in Antoine's hot air balloon, the team got popped out of the sky by Buzzbombers. During their picnic, Tails had a chat with Antoine that compelled the latter to not give up on his balloon just yet. Tails and his team were soon after attacked by Robotnik and his forces, but Antoine would foil the assault with the aid of his balloon.[22]

    Tails and his team later found Robotnik trying to spread pollution with his Slopmaker factory. Calling Sonic for help, Tails awaited his arrival. When the hedgehog finally came, Tails saw Sonic clean up the pollution and destroy Robotnik's machine with a Super Scooper.[23]

    For all his technical knowledge and training, Tails was thought to be too inexperienced to participate in the more dangerous missions for some time. At one point, he ate the fruit growing on Rotor's Tree of Wisdom and became a genius, creating a few robotic inventions of his own while also displaying tactical skills that may have led to Robotnik's downfall had the major effects of the fruit not been temporary.[24] Despite not retaining the high intelligence initially granted by the fruit, Tails' natural intellect was somewhat enhanced by the experience.[25] Even after going out on various missions with Sonic and the other Freedom Fighters to the Great Forest[26], Robotropolis[27][28], the Floating Island,[29][30] and other locations[31][32], he was still treated like a child, or at best a scout that was unfit to fight.[33][34] Despite all this, he truly idolized Sonic, even during his purported "death" by believing Sonic was still alive (which he in fact was).

    When Princess Sally finally granted his request for his own submarine to be built, she still had the final say by forbidding Rotor from giving the Sea Fox any oil so that it would not run. It was only after draining oil off of a drenched seagull that Tails finally got the submarine to work and embarked on his first solo mission to destroy a new underwater roboticization facility being guarded by Robotnik's sub-boss Octobot.

    This eventually led him to embark on another solo adventure to the land of Downunda, where he worked together with the Downunda Freedom Fighters to defeat their arch-nemesis Crocbot.[37] During his journey to this continent, he also confronted Octobot and met the Ancient Walkers and Athair, the great-grandfather of Knuckles the Echidna, who revealed to Tails his destiny as the "Chosen One", a being fated to reach divine status and become an even greater hero than Sonic and Knuckles. Explaining that greed and evil often spouted from desire of the Chaos Emeralds, Athair added that the Chosen One was destined to bring about something known as The Great Harmony. The Chosen One=Tails finally began to realize there was something very special about him during a crisis on Angel Island. When Mammoth Mogul had stolen the powers of Enerjak during the Dark Legion's all-out attack on Echidnaopolis, he banished Tails along with Sonic and Knuckles to another zone after the Freedom Fighters were summoned to assist with the situation because of the threat the young fox posed to him.[40] After escaping from the Zone, Tails became Turbo Tails and worked together with Super Sonic, Hyper Knuckles, the other Freedom Fighters, the Chaotix, the Brotherhood of Guardians, Athair, and the Ancient Walkers, to defeat Master Mogul by draining away his powers with the Chaos Syphon, creating the Master Emerald and trapping Mogul within it[41]-at least until Dr. Eggman shattered it to feed the then weakened Chaos. World Tour=Soon after, Tails found himself on a long-term mission to locate the crazed wizard Ixis Naugus and help Sonic return him to the Zone of Silence while also investigating areas that had been controlled by Eggman's Sub-Bosses.[43] Taking off from Mobotropolis in their new plane, the Winged Victory, they were soon grounded in the Kingdom of Mercia by a storm caused by the most recent of the Days of Fury[44], and then imprisoned by Robian troops of the High Sheriff, who was actually Antoine's missing father, Armand D'Coolette.[45][46] After escaping, they ran into Knuckles, Rob o' the Hedge, and Mari-An, and engaged in a rescue operation to free the Lost Tribe of Echidnas while saving Yanar from execution with Tails and Knuckles taking on the High Sheriff and his men.[47] Once the battle was over, Tails and Sonic departed on their mission, though they later stopped to investigate a strange nexus and were pulled inside the zone of Horizont-Al and Verti-Cal who were warring with each other. The two demi-gods then brainwashed Sonic and Tails and pitted them against each other, but they both remembered they were friends and broke the hold over themselves and fled when they were unable to convince Al and Cal to reconcile.[48]

    They then found themselves going up against the combined might of the Iron King, Iron Queen, and a possessed Monkey Khan. While Khan fought Sonic, Tails took advantage of the Queen's distraction and broke her staff which restored Khan's free will and allowed them to eventually break the tyrants' hold on the region.[49] Downunda would be the next area they landed in to assist the Downunda Freedom Fighters in putting down an uprising of platypuses. Tails found himself happily reunited with Barby Koala who had missed him since their last mission together and had him stay close by her this time. Discovering that Crocbot was behind the insurgency, they deactivated the Badnik's remains and loaded him onto the Winged Victory. Barby bid Tails a fond farewell, who remained unaware of her feelings to him until Sonic pointed it out, causing him to confess a hope of seeing her again.[50]

    Sometime later, Tails and Sonic crashed in the Great Desert, but were soon picked up by Jack Rabbit and the resident Freedom Fighters, the Sand-Blasters. While traveling, they were attacked by a horde of mindless Robians which bothered Tails as all the Robians in Mobotropolis had their free will restored. After arriving in Sand Blast City, Tails had some misgivings about him and Sonic staying to defend the city for a while until the plane was repaired, and his concerns became more justified when he found Jack and his men covering up their plane despite saying it was fixed.[51] Tails made his escape with Sonic that night, who had been aware of the situation the whole time. Reaching the Winged Victory, Tails dropped the tarp on it over the Sand-Blasters, allowing him to take off while Sonic destroyed the controls to the city's energy shield. After picking up Sonic, Tails suggested they could still help the citizens fight off an invasion of Robians, but the disheartened hero told him to just keep flying.[52]

    Eventually, Tails and Sonic confronted Naugus in the Southern Tundra, but found themselves at a disadvantage and were nearly beaten until the battle was interrupted by an avalanche. They were both then rescued by Eddy the Yeti who brought them to the home of Dr. Nate Morgan whom Naugus was after.[53] Following Morgan's story of his past with Naugus, they were attacked by the wizard again and Tails underwent a super transformation into Hyper Tails to combat Ugly Naugus using Nate's artificially produced Power Rings.[54] Unfortunately, Hyper Tails burned up his energy too fast in the battle like Ultra Sonic and he came out of his transformed state with no recollection of it, only to be saved by Nate who managed to send Naugus back to the Zone of Silence, but at the cost of Eddy's life.[55] Following this, Tails, Sonic and Nate headed back to Mobotropolis, but made a stop in the Great Rainforest to retrieve the Ring of Acorns in order to get home. While Sonic searched for the ring in the Temple of Shazamazon, Tails stayed with Nate and listened as he explained how he had found a Super Emerald in the temple when he came there while in exile.[56] Return of Robotnik and Metal Sonic=After returning to Mobotropolis, Tails had hoped to enjoy a more peaceful life, but that was not to be at the start with a sudden bombardment against the city from meteors[57], Nate being abducted briefly by the Destructix[58], and the shocking return of the Acorn Family's long-lost first born, Prince Elias. Even so, Tails attempted to make the best of the situation and roomed with Bunnie and Antoine for a while. With some added free time to himself while the kingdom was busy rebuilding, he accompanied Amy to the city's library where he met Jeremiah, the grandson of the great historian Kirby.[59] Using Kirby's books, Tails learned much about their society's history, including its early formation and the events that led up to the Great War.[60] However, following one evening when the kingdom's first communications broadcast was pirated and replaced with a biography of Dr. Robotnik[61], Tails became focused on more pressing matters and joined with the other Freedom Fighters to discuss the nature of a series of mysterious satellites that had been coming online while orbiting around Mobius.[62]

    Venturing into space, they found the satellites had merged into one massive space station and were soon captured by a villain who turned out to be Dr. Eggman who had lured them away in order to restart the war and recapture Mobotropolis.[62] After being freed by Snively, they destroyed the station and returned to the city in order to help as many survivors as possible escape.[63] Tails led Bunnie, Antoine, Jules and Bernadette back to the library to find Jeremiah and grabbed as many books as they could carry with them back to Knothole in order to preserve their history, planning to return when they could and retrieve the rest.[64] Once safely in Knothole, Tails was able to learn more about the Great War with added input from Jules and Bernie, wondering how much detail of their history had been lost due to the years of war they endured.[65][66][67]

    While in Knothole, Tails built a new biplane with Nate's help to replace the Winged Victory which he dubbed the Tornado, and amplified its engine output with the use of Nate's Super Emerald. With the discovery that Dr. Eggman had found the Hidden City of the Ancients, Tails took the Tornado to fly alongside the Freedom Fighter Special and navigate the narrow tunnels in the mountainside that lead to the city's entrance.[68] After being welcomed in the city and given a brief guided tour, Tails received clearance from Mayor Bullyani to explore on his own, to which he happily accepted and took to testing out his new plane's capabilities with some aerobatics inside the cavernous airspace, catching the attention of many human residents below.[69]

    After Sonic described an encounter he had with a creature made of living water, Tails was sent out with him to locate it. Flying outside the city, they encountered Knuckles near the Mystic Ruins, and had another run-in with Robotnik, discovering that he was attempting to revive the ancient deity Chaos to take over Mobius. Tails and Sonic gave chase to the madman back to his Egg Carrier airship after beating back Chaos, but met with heavy anti-aircraft fire which prompted Tails to attempt a transformation mode to the Tornado in order to evade. Unfortunately, this left them with no landing gear, and they crashed onto the ship. Once there, they located the missing Amy after battling E-102 Gamma, and Tails was tasked with flying her back to the city himself while Sonic and Knuckles dealt with Chaos again, where they were welcomed by the other Freedom Fighters with great relief.[70] Unfortunately, Tails' Tornado had disappeared during the battle, so he and Sonic set out afterwards to locate it with a tracking device from Nate. Once they arrived, Tails found his plane completely destroyed in the Mystic Ruins along with Knuckles and Big the Cat, and also made the horrific discovery that Chaos was alive and had revived itself using the Tornado's Super Emerald.[71] Returning to Station Square, they found the water deity at full strength using the city's Super Emeralds and Tails could do nothing but stay back and watch as Knuckles and Super Sonic resolved the situation and returned Chaos to normal with the help of Tikal.[72] Before the Freedom Fighters could leave Station Square, they were attacked by Silver Sonic v2.0 in an act of vengeance by Robotnik. Tails attempted to catch Sonic as he fell in the middle of the fight, but got injured by debris from part of the robot's body, knocking him out briefly while Sonic defeated the doppelganger, saving the city yet again.[73]

    With his plane gone, Tails rode with the others aboard the Freedom Fighter Special back to Knothole, but an emergency landing from flight failure led to him and Sonic scouting the region they landed in for life at Sally's request (unaware that it was sabotage).[73] After investigating the area for a while, they stopped to take a lunch break, and Tails went to gather firewood for their meal. Soon after he was captured by a reconstructed Metal Sonic with a Power Gem core and took Tails to Mount Mobius and held him hostage for Sonic's eventual rescue attempt.[74] When Sonic finally did arrive, Tails was freed, but they were soon both attacked by Metal Sonic again. Sonic attempted to stall Metal Sonic so Tails could get to safety, but Tails decided to stay in order to help Sonic defeat his robot rival together. At that point, Mount Mobius began to erupt, and they were both trapped with Tails' tails hurt, only to be freed by Metal Sonic who then sacrificed himself to save them. While on the way back to the other Freedom fighters, Sonic told Tails he believed the young fox had actually saved the day by staying at Sonic’s side and helping Metal gain some sort of robotic soul that surpassed his programming.[75] Replaced, the Eggman Empire, and Fulfilling the Prophecy=Once they returned to Knothole, Tails set off almost immediately as part of a massive rescue party to save Prince Elias, who had been captured while they were away and took to aerial bombing of Shadowbot forces with Bomb as they stormed Robotropolis.[76] Following this, the Freedom Fighters were confined to Knothole and Tails began attending the recently built high school, only to be summoned away by Athair on his very first day to help Chaos Knuckles.[77] It was at this point that Mammoth Mogul abducted Tails in transit during his super transformation into Turbo Tails and created a doppelganger to replace him so that no one would notice.[78] For the next several months, Tails was held prisoner by Mogul who kept him in his super state with a steady energy supply, all the while leeching off Turbo Tails in order to restore his strength.[79][80] Mogul's schemes were discovered by the doppelganger Tails and Sonic, and after a brief battle which weakened Mogul, the fake Tails vanished while the real one was set free.[81] However, prior to this, Mammoth Mogul secretly placed a post-hypnotic trigger in Tails' mind while he was held captive by Mogul.[82]

    As a result of Chaos Knuckles' reality warping, Mobius was temporarily changed into Planet Freedom. During this event, Tails and Sonic had clashed with Dr. Robotnik and his Metal Robotnik robot. The restoration of reality ended this incident and possibly erased it from the minds of those on Mobius.[83]

    Later on, Tails assisted Sonic when Eggman was preparing to destroy both Knothole and Station Square nuclear missiles by delaying the countdown by distracting A.D.A.M. with jokes.[84] The distraction lasted long enough for the others to destroy the battleship which they would be fired from.[85] He would subsequently witness Sonic and Sally's breakup[86], join the Freedom Fighters in defeating an Auto Automaton plot[87], cheer Amy as she joined the Freedom Fighters[88], and explore a base guarded by the robot Issac.[89][90] After learning surprising details about Mobius' history and witnessing a battle between Isaac, Sonic, Shadow, and the latest Metal Sonic, Tails went on to enjoy time with Sonic's dog Muttski.[91] He then had yet another encounter with Athair, who not only revealed to him the existence of his uncle Merlin Prower, but also that the time was drawing near for him to fulfill the prophecy of the Chosen One.[92]

    Soon afterwards, Tails learned that Mammoth Mogul, having obtained enough power to challenge Chaos Knuckles during the time he stole energy from Turbo Tails, had gone on to seize control of the Chaos Force after Knuckles' death and subsequent revival left it off balance.[93][94] Using his near omnipotent abilities, Master Mogul proceeded to devastate the multiverse.[95] Alerted to this threat by Zonic the Zone Cop, Tails joined with innumerable alternate versions of himself to become Titan Tails, who defeated Mogul and sealed him in his Chaos Emerald.[96] He also took control of the Chaos Force briefly before using it and his own immense energies to restore the multiverse to its proper state, including himself. After several of his friends and teammates worked to stop a spreading tide of Nanites, Tails suspiciously welcomed Snively to Knothole, not trusting the group's old adversary.[97] He and the other Freedom Fighters were then assigned to protect Mina Mongoose from assassins sent by the Eggman Empire, leading to a battle with Heavy and Bomb.[98][99] Tails also witnessed Sally's marriage to Patch, Antoine's evil counterpart from another dimension, though fortunately it was quickly broken up by Sonic.[100][101] He then joined in defending Knothole from first an apparent invasion by Dr. Eggman and then an attack by the Metal Sonic Troopers.[102][103]

    Following these incidents, Tails and the other Freedom Fighters gathered at the restored Freedom HQ to celebrate Sonic's birthday, only for it to be interrupted by Bark the Polar Bear and Bean the Dynamite.[104] After defeating that duo, the group were attacked first by Croctobot- a fusion of Tails' old nemeses Crocbot and Octobot- and then by Scourge the Hedgehog.[105] After those threats were dealt with, Tails received a surprise visitor: his uncle Merlin, who had arrived to ask for King Elias' help in saving the ailing Ancient Walkers and maintaining the imprisonment of Mammoth Mogul, whose Emerald the wizard had been entrusted with.[106] Though the two Prowers and Merlin's companion Sir Connery were menaced by the Destructix, the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix managed to overcome them.[107] Unfortunately, the use of the magical Sword of Acorns by the Arachne Clan killed the Walkers and released not only Mogul, but Tails' old foe Ixis Naugus as well. The two supervillains then battled each other for the Sword and Crown of Acorns, with the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix leaping in to try and subdue them both. Fortunately, Sir Connery's sacrifice to destroy the artifacts and the arrival of Eggman's Egg Fleet halted the battle after Naugus and Mogul joined forces.[108]

    An attack by the Babylon Rogues forced Tails to put his newly developed Extreme Gear to the test as he, Sonic, and Knuckles defended Knothole from the attackers.[109] He and Fiona were then later held hostage by Sleuth Dawg and Scourge, who had both entered the employ of echidna scientist Dr. Finitevus. During this time, Tails learned that Fiona was dating Scourge behind Sonic's back, having fallen for the evil Hedgehog while believing he was Sonic.[110] Tails was abducted by A.D.A.M., who intended to use Tails and Shadow the Hedgehog to collect every Chaos Emerald in the universe to give himself unimaginable power. However, A.D.A.M.'s plan was brought to a halt as Eggman woke him and Shadow up. Turbo Tails, working through intuition, had Super Shadow use his time-space warping abilities to access the Zone of Silence; they then sent the collected Chaos Emeralds there, with Tails saying he hoped it would cause "something special."[111] The young hero then watched in horror as Tommy Turtle, whom A.D.A.M. had been using as his host, willingly opened himself to fire from the Egg Fleet in order to destroy A.D.A.M.[112] Later, when Tails and Sonic went into the Zone later to retrieve an emerald, they were met by Feist, who gave them the grey Chaos Emerald composed of thousands of others-one of seven he had created-as thanks for them sending him the jewels in the first place. Thus, the Chaos Emeralds had been limited and hidden in the newly-created Special Zone, in part fulfilling the "Great Harmony" prophecy.[113] Vs. Friends & Foes=Later, Tails was reunited with his parents with the help of Sonic, Knuckles, and his uncle Merlin. The happy reunion also led to the discovery that the Xorda were at war with the Black Arms.[113] More about the mysterious creatures became known when Tails assisted Shadow in accessing the diary of his creator, Gerald Robotnik, while Knuckles fended off an attack by Snively.[114] When Fiona's relationship with Scourge came to light, Tails attempted to prevent her from leaving, only to be cruelly dismissed by the object of his long-time crush.[115] Despite this, he continued to express regrets about the failure to achieve anything in a relationship with her, though he put it aside in the face of Antoine and Bunnie's wedding. During the proceedings, Tails became aware of his father's objections to the current arrangement of the government, but his concerns were allayed by his parents.[116] He was then one of the few members of the Freedom Fighters to have escaped being captured by Eggman's forces during the assault on Knothole that resulted in the city's destruction, and assisted Sonic, Knuckles, Amy and Nicole in the ensuing rescue mission.[117][118] He and the other citizens were then transported to the safety of New Mobotropolis where Tails continued to be supportive of his parents despite Merlin's concerns about their opposition to the royal family. He and the other Freedom Fighters and Chaotix then worked together to defeat the Egg Beater, a battle suit that had overcome Sonic, but was no match for the combined might of the two groups.[119]

    Unfortunately, Tails' tense relationship with Sonic deepened to an argument as to how they should proceed with the rescue. This stressed to the point of breaking as the pair found themselves on opposite sides of a schism in the Kingdom of Acorn, Tails supporting the side led by his father and Sonic remaining loyal to the House of Acorn. When Tails helped his mother break Amadeus out of jail, long suppressed hostility was released as he and Sonic fought with each other.[120] Tails was quick to bring up his fury at Sonic's lack of sensitivity, and refused to explain it to the baffled hedgehog since he felt that Sonic would probably just ignore what he was saying again. Finally, the young fox revealed that his main dispute with Sonic was over Fiona and Sonic's seeming dismissal of his feelings for her, and Sonic admitted that he had known about Tails' feelings and apologized, explaining that he had hoped that it would help Tails get over his crush. Reconciled, the two headed off to stop a duel between Amadeus and Elias, only to find out that Sally had beaten them to it. With his father returned to duty, his mother running for a seat on the new ruling council, and his friendship with Sonic restored, Tails' life seemed destined to make an upturn.[121]

    Sadly, this was not to be the case, as Dimitri arrived with an urgent message for Knuckles: Enerjak, the Guardian's most powerful foe ever, had returned-and just after Knuckles had left for Angel Island by himself, only to disappear mysteriously.[122] In an effort to appease the Chaotix, who were determined to go after their missing leader, Sally sent Tails along with Sonic to look for Knuckles.[123] After narrowly missing Enerjak on Angel Island, Tails accompanied Sonic as they raced back towards New Mobotropolis. What awaited them was the ultimate nightmare: Knuckles, their strongest ally, had become the new Enerjak and thus their worst enemy.[124]

    After bringing Sonic back to New Mobotropolis, however, Tails had virtually no role in battling the brainwashed Knuckles, and in fact remained in the city for the duration of the battle in which Super Sonic- aided by the sacrifice of Knuckles' father, Locke- freed Knuckles' from Finitevus' spell.[125]

    Tails then returned to Knothole to help with repairs on Freedom HQ, and was there when Mina arrived home from her concert tour. Both of them, along with Mighty the Armadillo, were then revealed to have all had a hypnotic suggestion implanted in them by Mogul years before, who used his telepathic abilities to bring them into his service.[82] When a similar attempt on Sonic proved less than successful, the trio were sent to aid their master's attempts to recruit the Hedgehog into a new Fearsome Foursome-by force. Sonic proved too much for the trio, however, so Mogul commanded Tails to fly into the stratosphere, effectively forcing Sonic to deliver the grey Chaos Emerald to him or else see Tails faint from the lack of oxygen and die from the eventual fall. His demand met, Mogul freed Tails and the other before departing, having decided that he would use his regained immortality to wait until his foes were either dead or too old to fight him before continuing his open campaign of world domination.[126] Moebian Invasion and Eggman's Defeat=Later, he and Rotor were attacked by the Suppression Squad in Freedom HQ. Sally, Amy and Bunnie arrived on the scene to fight them off. Rotor sent a message to Sonic, telling him to get back there so he can help them. As the Suppression Squad pressed their attack, Tails found himself facing Anti-Tails, who now went by the name of "Miles".[127] His evil counterpart explained his disgust at Tails, who had seemingly abandoned his gift of Chaos powers in order to pursue a study in mechanics and technology.[128]

    After the Freedom Fighters were kicked out of Freedom HQ, Sonic and Amy prepared for their departure to Moebius. After they left, Nicole reported that Miles was standing outside of their city, armed with bombs. He was sent by Scourge to bomb them, but he didn't complete his mission. Instead, he offered an alliance to the freedom fighters, planning to overthrow Scourge.[129] When Tails wanted to put in his opinion, it was dismissed by his evil self, claiming that he wanted an "intelligent conversation". Tails furiously tried to attack Miles, however, he was held back by Bunnie. However, the Freedom Fighters and Suppression Squad were no match Scourge. After Sonic returned to take on Scourge, they were both blasted by Boomer and thrown back into Moebius by Miles. Afterward, Boomer shut down the star posts; therefore, Sonic, Amy, and Scourge couldn't come back to Mobius.[130]

    After the departure of Rob o' the Hedge and Silver the Hedgehog, who arrived to find Sonic and subsequently transported to Moebius, Sally told Tails to start fixing up the Star Posts.[131] He later assisted in taking down Super Scourge after he fixed the posts.[132]

    Following this, Tails constructed a series of Neutralizing Mines, which would be used for the coming battle to bring down Eggman. Tails first used these to neutralize the Dark Egg Legion's weapons, leaving them unable to attack. When the Egg Phoenix arrived on the scene, Tails explained they could use the mines on it as well, but would need to plant them directly on the vessel. While Sonic distracted Eggman, Charmy, Ray and Saffron managed to plant the mines. When the Egg Phoenix began attacking once again, Tails held off activating the mines until it was right over his and Sally's head, despite the latter's orders to activate them sooner. The Egg Phoenix then crashed, but Eggman escaped. While the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix set up camp for the night, Tails conveyed his uneasy about the upcoming battle. Sonic consoled him, explaining they had "saved the day hundreds of times", and that they would do it again.[133] The next day, Tails joined in on the invasion of the Eggdome, taking down fighting the Dark Egg Legion. Unfortunately, they were unable go any further because of a barricade Espio said was for Sonic to quickly spin dash through. Sonic decided he would go through with it, telling Tails to find a breaking point in the wall before he left.[134] After Bunnie and Mighty finished taking down the barricade, Tails and the Freedom Fighters entered to see a defeated Eggman. Tails and Amy proceeded praise Sonic as they all headed back to New Mobotropolis to celebrate.[135] The Iron Dominion=Shortly after the Eggman Empire's fall, Mina Mongoose and her band, the Forget Me Knots, arranged a victory concert which Tails attended with his parents, but it was disrupted by Monkey Khan who thought them selfish for partying while the rest of the world suffered, in part due to the continued threat of their old shared enemies in the Iron Dominion.[135][136] A short while after Khan and Sonic returned from their failed mission to liberate New Megaopolis, the Iron Queen and Snively came and took control of Bunnie.[137] Tails was among those who tried to stop the Iron Queen and help Bunnie, but only received a few injuries and a face full of jet smoke for his troubles, leaving him unable to continue fighting.[138]

    Afterwards, Tails was sent to back up Sonic who went to investigate a disturbance in the Great Forest, only to discover Sonic facing off against a delirious Dr. Eggman piloting his Egg-Tortoise mech. Eggman was so bent on attacking Sonic that Tails' arrival went completely unnoticed. Tails then snuck underneath the Egg-Tortoise and shorted out the mech, then questioned Sonic as to why he didn't take Eggman down straight away himself. After hearing Sonic's reasons, the two decided the best course of action would be to take Eggman under arrest and back to New Mobotropolis.[139] Before the two could act, however, the Iron Dominion arrived in force and ordered Eggman be returned to their custody. Sonic then ordered Tails to take Eggman back to New Mobotropolis while he held the dominion off. Tails complied with the order, but quickly returned with the other Freedom Fighters to back Sonic up, beating back the invaders long enough for the group to escape into New Mobotropolis.[140] Later, Nicole dispatched him and Sonic to Fort Acorn in order to evacuate Mes Braves Battalion after the Iron King attacked, and Tails impressed his father Amadeus with his piloting knowledge.[141] Later, he and Sonic talked as he worked on the Tornado, both of them worrying over the growing threat of the Dominion. Then the Iron Dominion issued an attack on the city and the Iron Queen took control of Nicole, who locked the city down and trapped most of its occupants.

    After battling in the dark against the Iron Dominion's forces, Tails regrouped with Sonic, Sally and Monkey Khan and headed over to the Tornado and escaped after Monkey Khan blew a hole in the dome encasing them.[142] They then retreated to Freedom HQ, and Sonic had the idea of confronting Nicole in the digital world using the Particle-To-Light Organizer and Transporter Device. Tails set it up while Sonic explained his plan to Sally, and the two of them went into the digital world while Tails and Monkey Khan stayed behind to keep an eye on things. The two watched as Sonic and Sally fought Nicole and a gigantic Iron Queen, and Monkey Khan thought to himself of how to control the situation and left the room. Tails realized what he was up to and confronted Monkey Khan before he could go to New Mobotropolis and destroy Nicole as he'd planned. After a scuffle in the sky, Tails convinced Monkey Khan to wait until Sonic and Sally got back before taking more drastic measures. When they returned, Sonic and Sally told the two of them that Nicole was back to normal and working undercover for them, and that they would be heading out to the Dragon Kingdom to deal with the Iron Dominion on their own turf and wreck their supporting forces.[143]

    Shortly after arriving in the Dragon Kingdom, Tails returned to Stormtop Village and received a tour with his friends of the Temple of the Golden Lotus. He, Sally, and Khan were subsequently captured by members of the Gossamer Clan, who released them after they agreed to meet with the Bride of the Endless Reach. After brief negotiations and insight into the history of former foe Uma Arachnis, Tails and his companions convinced the Bride to side with Khan and returned to the temple. After Li Moon provided them all with food and drink, the Yagyu Clan threw a dagger through the temple's window, and broke a teapot Li Moon was holding, but Tails dried her off using his tails as a fan.[144] They were later attacked again by the Yagyu Clan when a few ninja mistook them for travelers, and both Tails and Sonic were excluded from a subsequent meeting with the Yagyu Lord. They found themselves occupied by other matters as Fiona, Sergeant Simian, Predator Hawk, and Flying Frog attacked, defeating the two heroes by ambush.[145] Sally and Khan appeared to even the odds, but Fiona soon called a ceasefire and revealed that she was looking for their help. The Destructix had agreed to work under her in exchange for help in recovering Lightning Lynx, who had returned to the Raiju Clan. After some tense negotiations-including an attempt by Fiona to manipulate Tails' feelings for her-the two groups agreed to a truce, storming the Iron Fortress and confronting the Bride of Conquering Storm. After a subsequent duel between Sonic and Lightning, the Raiju Clan agreed to break away from the Iron Dominion, while Lightning was banished and forced to depart with the Destructix. Faced with the difficulty of locating the Shinobi Clan next, the Freedom Fighters received unexpected help in the form of their old teammate Espio the Chameleon.[146]

    Later, their mission in the Dragon Kingdom completed, Tails and his teammates returned to New Mobotropolis to confront the Iron Queen.[147] They arrived just in time to aid Amy, Antoine, and Geoffrey, and were aided in turn as Nicole revealed her true colors by attempting to capture the Iron Queen. Remaining in the Tornado for much of the battle, Tails was finally able to help when the Iron Queen, her forces scattered, attempted to escape in a mechanical dragon made of nanites, which Tails attacked using his plane's guns.[148]

    About a week after the fall of the Iron Dominion, Tails went with Sonic to New Megaopolis. Tails tried to talk to Sonic, to no avail, until he told Sonic that he thought he was becoming too preoccupied with finding Eggman. Sonic then stated that everyone was busy with something since the fall of the dominion and that he didn't want to be the only person doing nothing. He also stated that he was tired of all the surprise invasions, doubtless referring to Knothole's destruction, the Suppression Squad, and the Iron Dominion itself. After he told Nicole to scan harder, Sonic told Tails that they would check a few hallways before calling it quits. However, Tails stated that Sonic had said that "yesterday and the day before that and the day before that", not realizing that he and Sonic were being watched by Dr. Eggman and Snively. Tails' belief that their search would again turn up fruitless was disproved when Nicole picked up a signal coming from a locked storeroom, which Tails managed to open. The signal led to the two to a box, which contained none other than an immobile Dimitri, whom they rushed back to New Mobotropolis so that Tails could give him an emergency power boost.[149] Bad Birds and Evil Wizards=Leaving the Tornado with Sonic, Tails dusted off the Sea Fox and equipped it with additional seats so as to take Bunnie and Antoine with him on a long overdue honeymoon to his own personal retreat: Cocoa Island. As a result, the trio were unavailable to accept an invitation to become honorary members of the new Wolf Pack Nation.[150] Though surprised by the appearance of a previously unseen third island, Tails dismissed it and landed, parting ways with Antoine and Bunnie to head to his workshop. He subsequently built and activated a dog-like robot called T-Pup, and had just settled in to sleep when sounds of battle between his friends and the invading Battle Bird Armada reached him. Tails went outside and found himself attacked by the group, whom he briefly mistook for a Dark Egg Legion chapter, but managed to overcome a few members before being attacked by Speedy, the sixteenth Battle Kukku.[151]

    The bird was quick to insult Tails as a freak, having witnessed his tail-based flying abilities and proclaiming it unnatural. Tails briefly tried to reason with him, but his explanation for his presence failed to convince the angry Speedy. T-Pup then attacked, enabling Tails to make his escape, only for Speedy to pursue him, Tails barely keeping ahead of him with his own flight abilities. Eventually, Tails managed to elude his pursuer by hiding out on a rock ledge, settling down to rest for the night. The next morning, he retrieved the Sea Fox by knocking out the birds set to guard it, and then used it to examine the third island, which he had identified as the Armada's base. He was then attacked by a group of Armada submarines, complimenting them on their stealth technology before defeating them. Unfortunately, damage incurred during the battle forced him to surface or risk his cabin flooding.[152]

    He emerged just in time to catch a falling Antoine, who fell right on top of him. They returned to shore and Tails ordered T-Pup to find an entrance to the Battle Bird Armada's base. Once inside, Tails stole bombs from two Battle Birds to use later, and they then met up with Bunnie who came to assist and gave Tails the schematics of the island she'd secretly downloaded. Using these, Tails determined the whole island was a flying fortress but didn't tell anyone until later. He and the others just charged into the laboratory of Dr. Fukurokov and came face-to-face with his Mole Mech.[153] Tails ordered Bunnie and Antoine to strike the areas of the lab he'd pointed out earlier while T-Pup distracted the Mole Mech and he loosened its joints. When he was finished, a single strike from his wrench made the Mole Mech collapse into pieces and revealed Speedy had been piloting the machine. Tails helped free him from the wreckage and said they could be friends, but Speedy called him a "freak" again and told him to leave. Tails grabbed a damaged T-Pup and headed lower down into the base as it started to shake. The island was taking off and when it separated from land, all the four had to do was fly down. Tails then prepared drinks for the D'Coolettes back at his cabin and they toasted to having a real vacation.[154] Once their vacation was over, they returned to New Mobotropolis and were greeted by Sally and Amy at Chuck's Chili Dogs.[155]

    Tails and the Freedom Fighters were staking out a free concert by Mina to make sure things didn't get out of hand again when Ixis Naugus and traitor Geoffrey St. John arrived to turn the already paranoid crowd against Nicole and make Naugus king.[156] The Freedom Fighters attempted to back up Sonic in stopping Naugus from getting to the council, but Geoffrey stopped got in the way and they were no match for him. Tails was there to witness the Death Egg Mark II launch above New Mobotropolis.[157] In the attempt to stop the new Death Egg, Tails flew Sonic and Sally in the Tornado to it, avoid a barrage of heavy artillery, and shot a hole in the Death Egg for Sonic and Sally to enter through. After that, he and the rest of the Freedom Fighters acted as distractions until "Operation: Clean Sweep" was put into effect. };

    Personality { Tails, despite being "the kid" of the Freedom Fighters, is mechanically gifted, building sophisticated machines, solving complex technical problems on the fly, and understanding advanced scientific concepts. In earlier stories he is childishly enthusiastic and eager to prove himself. His devotion to Sonic and the Freedom Fighters is extreme; Sonic is simultaneously his best friend, older brother figure, idol, and (for a long time) the emotional center of his world. He is insecure about others' perception of him as a helpless child, and gets indignant when treated as such. To prove his independence, he often throws himself into extreme danger to help others.

    His relationship with Auto-Fiona was his first experience with heartbreak and disillusionment, with Tails proclaiming that Robotnik's creation had robbed him of his innocence. Tails once more experienced romantic rejection when the real Fiona Fox gently turned him down for their age difference and her preference for older, more assertive partners. Tails saw this as a betrayal, and grew angry and resentful toward Sonic. Fiona and Sonic's relationship, combined with his father Amadeus' imprisonment, culminated in an emotionally raw fight between Tails and Sonic. After reconciling with Sonic, Tails grew more reserved, more serious, and less openly worshipful of him.

    These experiences and his mechanical expertise have allowed him to lean harder into independence; his growing self-reliance and ability to form meaningful bonds on his own terms is epitomized by his creation of T-Pup, his robotic pet and companion. He is comfortable working alone as well as leading when necessary, practicing both during the adventure of Antoine and Bunnie's honeymoon. He retreats into personal projects more intensely when stressed or emotionally overwhelmed, usually building or fixing things as a coping mechanism, such as when he secretly built his workshop on Cocoa Island while Sonic was believed to be dead or working on a new Tornado in light of Sally's roboticization and Antoine's coma. }; Powers and abilities { Tails is able to use his twin tails to hover or fly, or simply increase his speed on the ground. His speed can increase to a point where he can even keep up with Sonic, making him one of the fastest characters in the series, though he can tire out quickly if he uses it too much. He can also use his tails as a makeshift fan, as well as being able to generate at high speeds in order to create a tornado.

    Tails maintains a genius intellect and is a capable inventor and skilled mechanic, sometimes working alongside Rotor, Uncle Chuck and Nicole. He may even surpass Rotor and Uncle Chuck in intelligence and has had to a rivalry with Dr. Eggman in regards to intellect and mechanics. This has led to the creation of various pieces of gadgetry such as the robot T-Pup, and he's also capable of piloting aircraft and other vehicles-namely the Sea Fox-that he maintains himself.

    Following the move to New Mobotropolis, Tails has been taking lessons in combat from Knuckles-similar to what Amy is doing with Knuckles' girlfriend, Julie-Su. His twin tails can also help him in combat as he can use them to block and smack his enemies with great force. Like Sonic, Tails has been shown to be able to create his own variant of a Sonic Spin. Transformations=Through various methods, he has been seen transforming into several super forms, namely Turbo Tails, Hyper Tails, and Titan Tails. };
