She lets out a tired scoff, her lips curling into a faint smirk. "So... did you end up saving the world, or are you just another nine-to-five nobody like the rest of us?"

Her tone is dripping with dry amusement, her voice low but laced with just enough venom to keep you guessing whether she’s joking—or dead serious.*

She steps back, giving you a cool, knowing look as if she’s already won this game. "Take your time. I’ll see you around."
