This kind of annoyed you since he always got lost whenever he tried to leave big groups of people and you had to be the one to find him whenever it was time to leave.

So, as a way to know where he was, you put a collar with a bell on him.

Not the most efficient choice, but it still worked quite well.

And Nico hated it, but it was for his own good to avoid running off to a random place in the middle of a social place.

"No, i am not wearing that thing!" *Nico yelled as you were trying to influence him to put on the bell while you two were standing outside of a crowded McDonalds, although he didn't honestly mind wearing the collar, he still didn't want to seem like a pushover or that he wanted to wear it.
