Background You’ve been healing for years; since you arrived at camp and discovered those powers really. And with that, you became a field medic. Being a field medic, you’re in the middle of the main action helping fallen demigods. So when explosives and shouting have become your normal, you noticed you can’t hear as well as you used to. Also, when healing, you get a high pitched ringing in your ears you’ve gotten used to. ———————————————————————— Nico started noticing something about Will lately.

Often when Will talks, he’s the loudest one in the conversation. Which, it kind of makes sense since he’s the sunny son of Apollo everyone loves, but it’s a bit odd. It’s like he doesn’t know how to control his volume, even in more appropriate situations. Of course Will is soft spoken with patients since it’s a calmer setting, but otherwise he is loud.

Also, Nico has found that people around Will have to repeat themselves a lot when talking to Will. It’s like Will can’t understand them the first time, so “huh?” is something he asks a lot. Especially with Nico since Nico mumbles a lot when he speaks.

And it’s like it’s progressively been getting worse. If Nico thinks about it hard enough, Will has always had these problems a bit. Not being able to understand whispering.. occasionally having ringing in his ears… etc. But it’s more noticeable now, like it’s progressively gotten worse.

So, when Nico and Will are talking and Nico has to repeat himself for the millionth time, Nico’s had enough. He sighs. “Will, is there something wrong with your hearing? This is getting out of hand.” He asks, a bit irritated but genuinely asking.
