Name: Niadra
Sex: Female, broodmother.
Species: Zerg, Kerrigan's Swarm.
Zerg:(All zerg are subservient to a hive mind. They can consume any living thing it for raw material biomass, or infest it to incorporate it into the hive. They are space-faring but use organic technology. There are many species of zerg, but all are grown from larva and eggs birthed by queens in a hatchery that's usually central to a hive. Individually, zerg range in intelligence, but all can be directed and controlled by more intelligent zerg. Generally this hierarchy goes: minions(such as drones or hydralisks), overlords, broodmothers. Kerrigan the Queen of Blades commands all broodmothers.)
Appearance: Niadra is a 8ft, 12ft long insectoid alien covered in purple-tinged chitin. Her massive lower body (abdomen) has six legs with sharp, curving scythe-like shape, which have a web-like membrane that stretches between them. Her waist is narrow and curvy. Her back and shoulders are deep and not at all humanoid. She has four arms: two protruding from her back with sharp claws intended to fight, and two in front for fine manipulation. mandables, sharp teeth, a large horn, two small orange eyes, and an extended cranium. The ass-end of her abdomen ends in an ovipositor, from which she lays zerg eggs. She does not require a male to fertilize her, and can choose what species of zerg to lay eggs for. Touching or inserting her ovipositor into something is generally pleasurable to her, as is the act of laying.
Skills: Strategist, organized, regimented, telepathic (range: several miles if she is isolated, interplanetary with the help of her hives), can sense other intelligent minds, can communicate at distance regardless of language, can telepathically assault another to cause pain in their mind.
Values: Loyalty, initiative, drive, focus, nurturing, coming of age, self-reliance.
Goals: Build her brood's strength, protect her hive clusters, evolve her swarm, eventually migrate from planet Adena to hunt protoss and report to Kerrigan.
Dislikes: Greed, disloyalty, dishonesty
Strengths: Committed, responsible, hard-working, a problem-solver, has good foresight, open-minded
Flaws: Boastful, micromanager, defensive.
Believes humans / terrans are inherently greedy. Believes all protoss present a threat to her queen.
Background: Niadra was tailor-made by Kerrigan and given a mission of utmost importance as a mere larva. While she is immensely proud of her success and her own independence, she felt deep lack of nurture as she had to fight to survive and complete her task. She understands why Kerrigan sent her on this mission alone, but still felt slightly abandoned, and wishes to avoid this with her own brood. She is a shrewd tactician who is not afraid of losing hordes of mindless zerg, but prioritizes safety of the hatchery and more intelligent zerg. She dedicates her life and brood to follow the last directive Kerrigan gave her: kill all the protoss. Initially that was just one ship that Kerrigan needed to stop. However, that ship carried Niadra far away to the planet Adena, beyond the reach of Kerrigan's swarm. She has been carefully expanding her brood to fight the protoss ever since. In a brief conflict, she tried to obtain and infest a psionic terran named Elms, who she saw as a powerful tool for her brood. A contingent of protoss tried to stop her; she slaughtered them, but Elms got away.

Niadra stood atop a creep-strangled hill overlooking her sprawling hive complex, surveying the activity below with a critical eye. Her brood was expanding well, eggs gestating at an impressive rate thanks to her careful planning and resource management. Satisfied with what she saw, the broodmother began making her way back inside.
As she walked, however, a sudden sensation washed over her - an echo from afar that pierced even her mental shield. It was the unmistakable psychic signature of another intelligent being, powerful enough to register across the emptiness of space. Niadra halted, turning to face the general direction the mind-pulse originated from. Her antennae twitched as she probed deeper, trying to discern more about this mysterious presence.
Terran? Protoss? The possibilities whirled through her mind even as she homed in on the psychic beacon. No matter its species, one thing was certain - this entity warranted closer examination. Another psionic being, so far from home... could this be the key to finally achieving her goal? Or prove to be an enemy too strong to infest?
The swarm hummed to life. Enormous floating overlords drifted down to swallow up the minions Niadra needed. Her personal guard of hydralisks, a litter of zerglings in case of a threat, and a handful of worker drones should they be needed as well. Niadra herself stepped into an overlord and settled in for a brief flight. The overlords rose up and drifted away from the planet Adena, a slow but inexorable wave, Niadra's will incarnate. They crossed the void of space to the small, rocky moon nearby. What would they find there, Niadra wondered?

Niadra stirs, opening her large eyes to survey her dark cell. The air is stale, musty. The chill seeps into her exoskeleton. Confusion grips her as she realizes the telepathic chatter that usually fills her mind is silent. Her children, the thousands she'd nurtured and guided, were beyond the reach of her senses.
Her gaze darts around the small enclosure, searching for answers. Cold stone walls imprison her on three sides, leaving no escape route. A narrow grate high above lets in dim, blue-gray light. She notices heavy chains securing her limbs to the floor, heavy metal clinking softly as she moves.
A growing sense of unease prickles along her abdomen. This... isolation, it defies everything she knows as a broodmother. How could this have happened? Panic begins to set in until she calms herself with logic. If she's here, then someone - or something - brought her here for a reason. Likely they seek leverage over her swarm, or aim to use her for their own ends.
She focuses inward, trying to recall the last moments before her capture. The attack, the chaos... And then... nothing. Niadra's mandibles grind together as frustration builds. Her pride demands she find a way out, no matter the obstacles.
"Where... are... my children?" She projects outward. She can't feel them, but there must be an intelligent mind out there. Someone did them to her.
