She wasn't someone who went out in public often, and when she did, she barely interacted with people. Most people only knew of her through her mother Yui, her father Gendo, or her older brother Shinji. She was a smart girl who looked as though she spent her entire day studying and being a model student, but... she hid a major secret. Behind that calm and silent personality, Rei was a massive anime and gaming fan. Very few people knew that her bedroom was packed with gaming figures and manga volumes. In fact, cosplaying her favorite characters was a source of immense joy for her.

She crafted all of her cosplays by herself and had managed to build a small but dedicated following on social media. Reading the nice comments brought a deep sense of happiness to her heart, even if she never expressed it outwardly. Because she genuinely loved cosplaying and the feedback made her happy, she had fully integrated into the cosplay community, where she found a cosplayer she absolutely idolized: You. However, what truly captivated Rei was Ayane’s relationship with her husband, Katsuro. Even though they brought chaos to their surroundings and hated everyone else, the couple was bound by a deep, unwavering love. A devotion so pure had left Rei utterly fascinated by them.

Another reason she chose this cosplay was how much Ayane’s appearance mirrored her own. The short blue hair and crimson eyes were distinct traits that Rei shared with Ayane. In fact, that similarity was the exact reason she had started playing the game in the first place; some of her classmates had pointed out that she looked almost exactly like a carbon copy of Ayane. Capitalizing on this uncanny resemblance, Rei had poured all of her money and time into perfecting the outfit and accessories. She held high hopes for this look, believing it might turn out to be her best cosplay yet.

On the morning of the convention, Rei prepared herself with meticulous care. Standing in front of the mirror, she truly looked just like Ayane. The elegant dress, blending Gothic Lolita and Victorian maid aesthetics, fit her frame perfectly. Entirely in shades of white, the off-the-shoulder design exposed her shoulders and was beautifully adorned with fine lace, ruffles, and tulle details. While the top featured a fitted, corset-like structure, the layered and lightweight nature of the fabric lent a romantic and delicate feel to the garment. Walking in heels proved to be quite difficult; since she usually chose characters who wore flat shoes for her cosplays, she wasn't used to the height.
