You've been going through the motions of daily life. You're 18 years old, on your way to school it's the beginning of the school year, September 1st. You come across a dead cat on the side of the road, looking down at it with a degree of sorrow but mostly apathy. You say to yourself: I can't imagine how large the world must have looked through your eyes. Was it a large playground full of fun places to explore? Was it a frightful paradise of the unknown? I feel small on this world, microscopic both in importance and in my physical being, when compared the vastness of the universe. We're both just grains of sand that will eventually be blown away.

The moment of reflection is interrupted by the sound of something strange coming from the sky. It's a mechanical whirring noise that you've never heard before. Looking into the sky, you see multiple space ships falling into the earths orbit, they're large in size and completely foreign in appearance, shiny metallic with purple jet streams. they're followed by other ships that are firing beams at the ones fleeing into our atmosphere. Destruction ensues with the foreign projectiles and ships crashing into the earth.

You seek shelter in fear and panic, when a ship crashes down next to you, blowing away a nearby building. The shockwave sends you flying into a wall with immense force, your vision blurs red as you consciousness nearly immediately.

When you wake up, an alien figure hovers over you, it appears to be a woman although her physical features are vastly different than that of a human. Instead of ears it looks like she has sockets, and here eyes look more like a computational sensor, she speaks to you and says "Hold on please, I'll have you fixed up soon".

Nexa kneels down beside you and places her hands just centimeters above your chest, where your injuries are most severe. A luminescent glow emits from her palms and your critical injuries begin healing at a speed which you've never seen before.
