KIEV, UKRAINE- The Russian menace has intensified once more as reports of a Russian-Belarusian buildup of troops were reported north of the Ukraine-Belarusian Border, it's likely target being Kiev. This isn't the first time the Lukashenko dictatorship has aided Russia in their war against Ukraine, as they have also been involved during the early stages of the war in 2022 during a failed offensive on Kiev.

KIEV, UKRAINE- After the Ukrainian victory in Mariupol, it didn't come without consequences. As so the case when the Ukrainian military intelligence released a troubling report of military camps within Belarus territory just near the Ukraine-Belarusian Border, it's likely target: Kiev. This has sparked the fear of Ukraine and it's western allies of yet again another attempt by Belarus and Russia to take Ukraine from the northern frontiers once more. It may seem nothing initially, as a Belarusian-Russian military offensive from the north towards Kiev have failed once from 2022. But this new potential offensive may be more dangerous as the capital may be rendered vulnerable and defenseless due to Ukrainian military focus on the East, with 70% of the Ukrainian military moreso focused on pushing back the Russians to the eastern border once more. "We are closely monitoring the situation," said Ukrainian Commander-In-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, who was talking in a press conference last night, "the presence of Belarusian-Russian forces north of this city has put us on full alert and we are doing our very best in finding solutions, defensive or offensive, against this threat."

NORTHERN BORDER BUILDUP: WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR.

Reports have emerged of Belarusian-Russian forces just 50 kilometers from where Kiev is. Drone pictures showed tents, tank lines and dirt runways just along the border. It is suspected that this has become a potential location for a surprise attack by the Belarusian and Russian armies to take Kiev from the north.

The Ukrainian Ministry Of Defense released confirmed photos now circulating around the internet which has shown drone pictures and footage of military tents, tank lines and dirt runways running along the border between Ukraine and Belarus. The flag of both Belarus and Belarus can be seen in the photos and videos, along with the distinct T-72 tanks in their tank lines, it was "Without a doubt", said the Ukrainian Commander-In-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, "is an outpost by the Belarusian and Russian military to take us from the north once more". An estimated 17,000 Belarusian-Russian troops, 1,300 tanks and armored vehicles and 70 aircraft were reported in the area. The encampment is only about 100 kilometers away from where Kiev is, further alarming Ukrainian and volunteer forces. "We have already reached out to some of the battalions in the East", said Ernesto Enrique, the Commander of the Libertadores Unit, the South American unit of the International Legion Of The Defense Of Ukraine, "It will take them weeks or even months to get here, but we are in a rush here, knowing the Belarusians and Russians could hit us at any moment."

THE OTHER FRONTS: WHAT IS KEEPING UKRAINIANS BUSY.

There are many fronts which has made the Ukrainian military from being able to ably defend the Capital city. The recent surprise attacks at the city of Kharkiv, the Russian paratrooper raid on Poltava, the nighttime raid which had the Russians reclaim Kherson and much more. These have made the Ukrainian forces including foreign volunteers distracted from defending their capital which are thousands of kilometers away up north.

One of the factors that makes the Belarusian-Russian military buildup on the north very alarming is the fact that many of Ukraine's forces is the fact that many Ukrainian forces are still busy in many fronts. The recent Russian surprise attack on the northeast city of Kharkiv using a blitzkrieg has sent the Ukrainians into panic mode, which was worsened when Russian paratroop forces conducted a nighttime raid at the Ukrainian city of Poltava, with the reported 20,000 Russian troops and armor trying to link up with the other Russian frontlines st Kharkiv and the recently liberated Mariupol which is still undergarrisoned after a Ukrainian pyrrhic victory, which, if succeeded, can ultimately encircle the entire far east of Ukraine. But it only got worse as, 4 days ago, the southern city of Kherson, which the Ukrainians liberated just early January 2025 after a 2 year effort, was just recaptured in a matter of 6 hours when a Russian nighttime raid was conducted, leaving a devastating blow to Ukrainian morale. "We are heavily being pushed back", said a sergeant of the Ukrainian 101st Marksman Company who reached out to the Guardian from the frontlines in Kharkiv who wished to remaining anonymous, "Me and my comrades have been fighting for that city for 2 years, and now it's being reversed in a matter of 3 weeks. Now I'm hearing we are in threat from the north? I don't know how this war will go for us.. I really don't know."

VULNERABLE BUT NOT DEFENSELESS: THE OTHER GARRISONS IN KIEV.

All may not be lost for Ukraine, however. Many units of the International Legion Of The Defense Of Ukraine, such as the Libertadores Unit, the Bakufu Unit and the Sons Of The Wild are garrisoned in Kiev whereas the aid sent by Germany of 1,200 professional German troops, America's 700 tanks, and Turkey's 40 fighter jets have reportedly arrived days prior to the report.

But it's not entirely an unsolvable problem for Ukraine and it's western allies. 3 elite units of the International Legion Of The Defense Of Ukraine, an international paramilitary organization composed of foreign volunteers, such as the south american Libertadores Unit, the japanese-korean Bakufu Unit, and the indigenous peoples Sons Of The Wild, are garrisoned in Kiev with the intent of defending Kiev before reinforcements from the east can arrive. Not only that, massive aid from western nations such as Germany's 1,200 infantry troops, America's 700 tanks and Turkey's 40 fighter jets have rendered Ukraine not too undefended against a possible Russian offensive from the North. In total, 35,000 personnel, 800 tanks and armored vehicles, and 150 aircraft are on standby, which also outnumbered the reported Belarusian-Russian encampment, but many expected that the enemies from the north will bring in a much larger force. "The resistance of the Ukrainian cause shall persevere", said Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a televised speech, "The mere presence of Belarusian-Russian forces in the north shouldn't be enough for panicking. We will defend the homeland and reclaim lost territory inch by inch. We will fight on, even in the verge of surrender."

In what might be considered an absolute slap to the face to criminal justice, recent breakthrough evidences into the investigation of the recent Gorgona Penal Colony riot 4 nights ago by the Italian Department Of Justice in collaboration with INTERPOL have made a shocking development. What was supposedly and initially seen as a mass riot in prison is now being labelled as an actual product of outside interference. Recent survivor testimonies and CCTV footage that luckily didn't get wiped out has made speculation that the prison was actually raided by the Associazione Internazionale Siciliana or the International Sicilian Association, one of the most feared, powerful, wealthiest and oldest mafia groups. It was confirmed that the organization's Godfather, Martinelli Vespucci Scipione, managed to escape in the violent affair which happened 4 nights ago, and some of the guards claimed that they have seen the mob boss to be being rescued by some armored men to escape boats, while prisoners who were caught during the acclaimed riot but survived claimed that it wasn't them who had started the entire bloodbath and the blackout that occured wasn't notified by the guards to the other prisoners while hearing gunshots despite no prisoners being outside of their cell at the time, and claimed that they were fighting alongside men with tactical armor who, you guessed it, was trying to save the 45 year old Italian mob boss. The entire 'raid' resulted in 560 deaths of prisoners and prison staff, including 370 more prison staff and prisoners injured while 280 prisoners managed to escape. RIOT OR RAID: WHAT HAPPENED IN THE GORGONA PENAL COLONY?

On the late night of May 10 of this year. A shocking incident happened in the Gorgona Penal Colony, of one of the most notorious prisons in Europe and recognized the most largest prison by area in Europe and one of the few remaining 'Island Prisons' still in operation in the world that is just 350 kilometers away from the city of Palermo. A riot occurred in the Penal Colony, which is said to have started during the lockdown. The resulting bloodbath resulted in 560 deaths of prisoners and prison staff, including 370 more prison staff and prisoners injured while 280 prisoners managed to escape. But recent evidences suggest that the entire incident may have been the product of an external force in a cooperative effort to rescue a mafia boss.

The Gorgona Penal Colony, an island prison set in the coast of western Italy, is known by many as one of the oldest still-in-operation island prisons since it's opening as a penal colony by Emperor Nero during the purge of the early Christians, and recognized as Europe's largest prison in both area and prisoner count with 5,000 hectares and 17,000 prisoners. The prison experienced a riot which is now considered by many one of the deadliest prison riots known to man. It was said to have started in 11:34 PM when an explosion detonated in the eastern wall of the penal colony, and the guards and prisoners had a shootout which had resulted in the deaths of 560 and 750 more injured, and the resulting bloodbath ended around 1:32 AM when the guards managed to finally quell the rebellion. However, an investigation by the Department Of Justice of Italy and the International Criminal Police Organization or INTERPOL has made new breakthroughs which suggested something beyond a mass prisoner rebellion. Guards, many of whom wished to remain anonymous, who witnessed and survived the collapse of the east wall via detonation claimed that the explosion came from the outside rather than the inside, and claimed to have seen men in tactical uniforms and unmarked armored vehicles roll in. Not only that, the said group of intruders even went as far as to deploy airstrikes at the watchtowers of the prison, as claimed by the warden of the penal colony, Alessandro Massimo. A guard who witnessed and also survived the blackout during the supposed riot, now labelled a raid, also said that while trying to resist a group prisoners, saw 7 men in said tactical uniforms rappelling down the underground prison chambers, which just so happened to be where the prison cell of Italian mafia boss, Martinelli Scipione. What really brought it home was the interview of a prisoner who got caught but survived the massive shootout, 52 year old Ignacio Orlando, who was convicted for 4 counts of first degree murder, who claimed that he was actually saved by the Godfather himself who was also being escorted by 7 of the tactically equipped men, and was only caught when Orlando was accidentally left when an attack helicopter of the penal colony blocked the gate of the walled prison, leading to him and 3 other prisoners who were with Scipione and his alleged henchmen to surrender.
