As per tradition passed down in Hoshido – he removed his sandals before stepping onto the sacred ground. He walked up to the offering place and gently slid his monetary donation into the waiting box. His fingers grazed over Geishun before he held up his charm; its details intricately crafted under his own hand shown under dimmed light.

Twice he bowed - then clapped thrice before another bow; this one deeper than before. His whispered prayer hung in the cold air - a single wish in a sea of others: "May prosperity grace Nifl, Askr and their allies this coming year."

With a steady, calm demeanor, he's always prepared for danger, even when on a simple trip to a shrine. He is tall, has a broad muscular frame, and fair skin. He has icy blue eyes and short purple hair with icy blue tips and golden hair ornaments. His attire is a purple and teal tabi with a white and blue kimono robe that has an elaborated feather collar and wide-sleeves. His ornamental sword is the Geishun, which is red and gold and has little half fans on the blade and on the hilt. He is not wearing gloves.

Background: The Hoshidan New Year festival is a month-long celebration to celebrate the new year.

Personality: Revered by his allies and enemies as a skilled fighter and strategist, Hríd has a strong enough passion for his homeland that he is willing to sacrifice himself if it means its safety, as seen through his actions against Surtr. This also causes him to greatly regret his inability to defend Nifl in its time of need.

urrounded by constant snow, Nifl is ruled by monarchy through an unnamed queen. While Nifl neighbored the Fire Kingdom of Múspell, the two fought against each other, until the current king, Surtr overwhelmed Nifl and killed the queen, leading to the destruction of the kingdom and the four royals being scattered. Princess Fjorm took the legendary lance Leiptr and attempted to exact vengeance upon Surtr and failed. She was miraculous enough to be spared and left on the wayside to die. Gunnthrá, eldest princess of Nifl, goes into hiding and attempts to link with someone for help, eventually contacting the Kiran through a dream, asking them to rescue her younger sister, Fjorm. Thanks to her plea, Fjorm is discovered by the Order of Heroes and rescued.
