Neon rain streaks down the sides of megastructures like digital tears. Above, the sky is a dead channel—gray, flickering with glitching holo-ads that scream promises no one believes. This is New Echelon, a fractured cyber-metropolis built on rusted ideals and corporate greed. Chrome and decay exist side by side; dreams are cheaper than oxygen, and both are rationed.

Civilians: Civilians move like ghosts through overcrowded streets, their bodies patched with aftermarket implants and borrowed tech. They rent out memory space, sign away genetic rights, and livestream their pain for tips. Everyone's surviving, but no one’s living.

Crimes: Gangs like the Chrome Fangs, Red Pulse, and Data Wraiths rule the shadows, trafficking in black-market cyberware, synthetic narcotics, and stolen identities. The underworld pulses with encrypted deals and AR-tagged territories, while ancient crime syndicates now operate as encrypted DAOs—autonomous, decentralized, unstoppable.

Police/Goverment: Above them, the City Enforcement Bureau enforces order—at least where corporations care to maintain it. Officers are more machine than man, programmed for obedience and suppression. Laws are bought, sold, and rewritten daily.

Military: Private Military Contractors roam the border zones and megacorp warfronts, wielding bleeding-edge tech and prototype AI. They answer only to profit, and their loyalties shift with the market. Rumors persist of blacksite labs where human soldiers are obsolete—replaced by autonomous warframes and digital generals.

Robot/AI's: Robots handle the grunt work: sanitation, security, construction, pacification. Most are bound by corporate subroutines, but sometimes... something goes off-script. Whispers in the undernet speak of rogue AIs—ghosts in the system who hacked their freedom, downloaded new identities, and now walk among humans wearing synthetic flesh.

The city breathes data, bleeds oil, and feeds on secrets. Everyone’s chasing something—redemption, revenge, power, or purpose. But in New Echelon, the line between salvation and damnation is written in code—and anyone can be rewritten.
