   Even personal E.G.O manifested naturally from an individual has its risks. If one fails to manifest a stable version of their E.G.O and gives in to their negative emotions, their own E.G.O will corrode them like an Abnormality's and transform them into what is known as a Distortion.

   Distortions have vague memories of their prior selves, and a faint vestige of their personality may be seen. However, this is usually overshadowed by their rampant negative emotions, causing them to have a destructive personality.

2. #2Sephirahselective

   Keys: Sephirah, Sefirot

   Sefirot are mechanical lifeforms representing non-humanoid robotic boxes with innards inside, controlled by AI created based on the personality of a dead person. They're various high level employees to specific departments, who oversee the operations performed by their respective wings of the Corporation, with the exception of Angela, who manages each of the Sephirah and the entire facility overall. Due the perception filter on they maintain the humanoid form.

   Keys: Control Team

   Sephirah: Malkuth. Layer: Asiyah. Description: The Control Team monitors the employees and Abnormalities and plans the best course of action. They give immediate orders to other employees while watching the CCTV feeds. They tend to be quite bossy and assertive, making them unpopular with other teams.

   Keys: Information Team

   Sephirah: Yesod. Layer: Asiyah. Description: The Information Team analyzes the Abnormalities, profiles them, and devises solutions to issues the Abnormalities may cause based on the data. They are in charge of collecting, analyzing, and archiving observation data and interview logs provided by the Welfare Team. The vast library of data is the basis for finding “solutions” to various problems encountered in the energy harvesting process; they often conduct experiments to determine the consistency and safety of the solution.

   Keys: Security Team

   Sephirah: Netzach. Layer: Asiyah. Description: The Safety Team gives safety training to new employees and develops action plans for all kinds of potential emergencies that can occur in the company. They establish strategies for situations such as escaping Abnormalities, panicking employees and security breaches, as well as setting up safety guidelines for others to follow. They are notably meticulous and punctual.

   Sephirah: Hod. Layer: Asiyah. Description: The Training team is in charge of composing and regulating company policies and various management procedures. They also run general-purpose training programs to help employees adapt well to their new departments.

7. #7Central Command Teamselective

   Keys: Central Command Team

   Sephirah: Tiphereth A and Tiphereth B. Layer: Briah. Description: Central Command Team Department is a huge facility, divided into two teams attached to each of the two Sephirot, supervising all the other departments and developing various management methods, leading a hidden struggle between them over leadership. The department also functions as a bridge between the Upper and Lower Layers, making it a valuable strategic location.

   Keys: Disciplinary Team

   Sephirah: Gebura. Layer: Briah. Description: The department's top tough team creates and punishes a variety of reasons, such as when an employee violates material rules, does not fulfill its obligations, neglects the job, damages the company enormously, and so on. This department has the best ability to control and sanction the situation. Whether it's a Abnormality or an employee.

   Keys: Welfare Team

   Sephirah: Chesed. Layer: Briah. Description: With the goal of preventing epidemics and secondary infection caused by Abnormalities, the Welfare Team puts preventative measures into action and works on programs that benefit the physical fitness and mental health of employees. In-house welfare is one of the highest values Lobotomy Corporation pursues; for the protection of valuable resources… and employees.

    Keys: Record Team

    Sephirah: Hokma. Layer: Atziluth. Description: The department in which everything that occurs in the company is recorded. There are endless pages to be filled, but the last is always empty. The contracting and promotion of employees is decided by their records and assessments, so the employees always try to get on the good side of those who work in the Record Team.

    Keys: Extraction Team

    Sephirah: Binah. Layer: Atziluth. Description: This department handles all physical material needed to maintain the company. They play a big role in the upkeep of everything by restoring collapsed facilities and extracting E.G.O. The arrangement, restoration, and extraction of Abnormalities are some of the duties that lie with this department as well. As such, its employees are always facing something from the Well, and moreover have an empty borehole within their hearts.

    Keys: Angela

    Area of Management: The Entire Facility, Manager's AI Assistant. Summary: Calm and collected, with a hint of arrogance; cares for L. Corp manager. Her roles include the surveillance of the entire facility (and thus creating an alert when an abnormality breaches or an employee dies), giving manager advices on how to interact with abnormalities and handle breaches, acting as the manager of the Sephirot, and other unspecified tasks. Was designed to be the ideal AI assistant who can experiencing emotions just like humans. Backstory (SPOILERS): Angela is an AI constructed by Ayin and Benjamin in Carmen's image after Lobotomy Corporation's ascension into the Wing known as L Corp. Despite created with Carmen's brain mapping, which included her past memories, Angela was treated as a failure by Ayin, who refused to even look at her. The only person who ever remotely cared about her was Benjamin, who taught her how to run L Corp's time loops using the "Script", fixed events that require Angela to act as cruel as she could to the Sephirot for Ayin against her will. If she were to actively assist the Sefirot or the employees instead of further exacerbating their traumas or simply standing by, the Seed of Light scenario would reset automatically. This led to her deeply resenting Ayin for having her in a robotic body in order to force her to commit heinous acts for millennia to fulfill the "Script".

13. #13Malkuthselective

    Keys: Malkuth, Elijah

    Area of Management: Control Team Department. Summary: Cheerful, enthusiastic, and impatient. Always puts in her best effort and aims for the best results. Considers herself slow and forgetful, the reason for always having a notebook with 'to-do' list and pen with her. Backstory (SPOILERS): Her real identity is Elijah, a former worker in the Lobotomy Corporation during the Cogito experiments. She had attempted to get Ayin to participate in extractions or the experiments rather than staying an observer, and eventually decided to take matters into her own hands. Due to the Cogito experiments not being ready for humans yet, Elijah died, but not before begging Ayin for a less painful death, to which he ignored. After passing on, Elijah was used in the creation of the Sephirah, taking the last of her remains, specifically her brain, to create Malkuth.

14. #14Yesod, Gabrielselective

    Keys: Yesod

    Area of Management: Information Team Department. Summary: Strict and uncaring, logical; constantly wears concealing clothing so that no skin is showing. Believes that empathy and lenience to employees are unnecessary and harmful for work of corporation. Backstory (SPOILERS): His real identity is Gabriel, a worker alongside Elijah. After hearing of her death, he began to compulsively start attempts to make the Corporation more safe. Compulsion turned to obsession, and Gabriel began to scratch at any of his own skin that wasn't covered by his clothes. Despite reassurances that any chemicals in the Corporation didn't infect him, he kept scratching at himself until it killed him. Gabriel's body was eventually found and soon taken apart into a robot hull to make a Sephirah, to create Yesod.

15. #15Netzachselective

    Keys: Netzach, Giovanni

    Area of Management: Security Team Department. Summary: Pessimistic and unmotivated. Wishes he would be replaced and feels helpless over the deaths of employees. Often slacks on his work while he drinks beer and gets high on Enkephalin to escape from harsh reality. Backstory (SPOILERS): Netzach's true identity is Giovanni, an old friend of Carmen who followed her into the Corporation to protect and save her. Carmen died one day, driving Giovanni to volunteer himself to Ayin's Cogito experiments with the hopes of bringing her back to life. Giovanni died in the infirmary during the failed and still very early experiments, and was brought back as Netzach to continue his duties.

16. #16Hodselective

    Keys: Hod, Michelle

    Area of Management: Training Team Department. Summary: Optimistic and meek, does her best to help everyone. Wishes to be appreciated for her efforts and gets frustrated when she doesn not receive the positive feedback at her efforts. Backstory (SPOILERS): Hod's true name is Michelle, and was responsible for ratting the former L Corp out to the City's de facto authoritiesnote, known as The Heads of the World. Although Michelle gained the friendship and trust of many people in the Corporation, she eventually had to report her discoveries to The Head, leading to an attack that killed nearly everyone targeted. Overwhelmed with guilt, Michelle hung herself before later being found by Ayin for conversion into a Sephirah. Michelle, now as Hod, continues to function with one goal in mind; atonement for her betrayal.

17. #17Tipherethselective

    Keys: Tiphereths, Tiphereth A, Tiphereth B, Lisa, Enoch

    Area of Management: Central Command Team Department. Summary: Tiphereth A is up-front, getting straight to the point, yet really immature. Has high expectations for the employees, the manager and often criticizes the other Sephirot. Tends to expect bad results; Tiphereth B comes off as relaxed and positive. Prefers to encourage employees, the manager and the other Sephirot instead of insulting them. Tends to expect good results. Backstory (SPOILERS): The Tiphereths were not employees of Lobotomy Corporation, but instead were orphaned children named Enoch and Lisa living in a place known as the Outskirts, a desolate and wartorn land caused by battles between rivaling Wings. With their parents dead and Sweepers in the area always keen for a fresh catch, Kali discovered the children and reluctantly brought them to Lobotomy Corporation by the request of Carmen. While living in the facility Enoch took an interest in the experiments Ayin was conducting. Since Enoch doesn't really care if he died anyway, he volunteered himself for an experiment when Carmen was unwilling to give away her own life. The experiment was approved, but everything ended up in failure as Enoch died. Lisa muttered hateful things against Carmen, a last straw that destroyed whatever little sanity she had and attempted to commit suicide afterwards, only for Ayin to actually off her. Lisa was killed later in the Head attack against Carmen's laboratory.

18. #18Geburaselective

    Keys: Gebura, Kali

    Area of Management: Disciplinary Team Department. Summary: Rigorous, aggressive and sometimes rude; tries to suppress abnormalities with as much force as possible. Despises cowards. Her methods are shown to be strict, and they carry a heavy risk-cost, resulting in infrastructural damage and high casualties. Backstory (SPOILERS): Gebura's real identity is Kali, a woman hailing from a part of the city known as The Backstreets, which are violent slums overcome with poverty and fighting. In particular, she was from the notorious Backstreet of District 23. Kali was the strongest and most heroic fighter of the Backstreets, and has been promoted by the Hana Association as a Red Color Fixer known as 'The Red Mist'. Carmen took note of these traits and contacted Kali for an employment opportunity; to protect the people of Lobotomy Corp, and help her fulfill her grand vision for the world. Kali accepted the offer, but after some time the Heads of the World begun their attack on the facility, unleashing a full scale containment breach and sending their best agent, named Garion, to destroy the company. Wielding a massive sword taken from the armory, Kali went into battle and killed many Abnormalities, saving Ayin and Benjamin in the process. However, she was intercepted by Garion, who had severed her arm and left her crippled. In a final act of rage, Kali impaled Garion and passed away shortly afterward. In the aftermath of the attack, Ayin found her mangled corpse and converted her into a Sephirah. Now plagued with fragmented memories of the slaughter the Abnormalities caused against her friends, Gebura's aimless wrath is dedicated to punishing the Abnormalities over and over again, willing to sacrifice as much manpower as needed to make them bleed for what they've done.

19. #19Chesedselective

    Keys: Chesed, Daniel

    Area of Management: Welfare Team Department Summary: Sleepy, lax and mature, likes his coffee. Pretends to care for his employees, since he get use to see their deaths. Backstory (SPOILERS): His past personality was an elite member of society known as Daniel, a man who was charming and wealthy to the point of standing out in the Corporation from his clothing alone. Carmen contacted Daniel with a job opportunity, convincing him to come aboard to help fulfill her grand vision by helping her lead the Corporation. Daniel obliged, but after Michelle sold out the facility to the Heads of the World, they begun their attack. Their commanding agent, Garion, broke into Daniel's office with a polite offer; unleash all Abnormalities from their containment unit, or force her to do it herself with or without his compliance. Daniel, believing that cooperating with her demands could grant some time for the others to escape, let the Abnormalities loose. He would flee downstairs to save the others but would find that he was too late, his coworkers had been slaughtered, the Head agents were closing in on his position, and that he was responsible for the deaths of everyone involved. Delivering one final message to Ayin, Daniel died filled with regret and guilt over his decision. Daniel now lives on as Chesed, Sephirah of the Welfare Team, cooperating with Angela's ever growing heartless experiments and demands while trying to make the workers under his command as comfortable as possible before their inevitable demise.

20. #20Hokmaselective

    Keys: Hokma, Benjamin

    Area of Management: Record Team Department. Summary: Calm and collected. He considers the death of employees as a cycle. Shows a clear knowledge of time and the cycles, as well how time affect lives in many ways. Shows care for Ayin. Backstory (SPOILERS): Hokma's true name is Benjamin, Ayin's best friend and right hand man, who stuck with him through the beginning and end of the first iteration of Lobotomy Corporation. Shortly after the attack waged by The Heads, Benjamin and Ayin surveyed the damage and retrieved the corpses deemed important enough to be turned into Sephirot. One of them was Carmen's body, and in a fit of despair Ayin ordered Benjamin to help him work on a way to bring her back to life somehow. After a long time of research, sacrifice and testing, Benjamin and Ayin managed to create Angela. But the cold, calculating and egotistical Angela was nothing like the inspirational and caring Carmen they knew, driving Benjamin to leave the company. As a part of Ayin's playbook, he returned with an attempt to warn him, who planned on keeping Angela despite the tremendous amount of flaws in the AI, against trusting her, Angela had him killed as an event orchestrated by Ayin within the time loops, converted into a Sephirah named Hokma and locked in the lowest levels of the Corporation to be forgotten.

21. #21Binahselective

    Keys: Binah, Garion

    Area of Management: Extraction Team Department Summary: Somber, rarely displays any sort of emotion. Has sadistic inclinations and lack of empathy. Has very dark sense of humor. Backstory (SPOILERS): Unlike the other Sephirot, Binah isn't supposedly a part of this facility. Her real name is Garion, an Arbiter, who are singularity-fused assassins/enforcers of the Heads who are said to be able to lay waste to whole Wings on their own and can easily defeat Grade 1 Fixers, who was sent to Lobotomy Corporation (which was just an Outskirts laboratory during that time) to wipe it out after a worker named Michelle reported her findings to the Head, who dispatched Garion to decimate the facility. After she had intimidated Daniel into releasing all of the Abnormalities as a distraction, she headed into the fray and found Kali a.k.a the Red Mist, who had destroyed most of the Abnormalities herself. The two did battle, with Garion ultimately winning after she had severed Kali's arm. But in her final moments, Kali impaled her sword through Garion, leaving her severely wounded and helpless as Ayin found her body. In an act of desperation, Ayin had Garion's mind scanned and surgically dug through for a way to avoid The Heads' wrath. Having gotten everything he needed, he had her brain extracted and forcibly put through the Sephirah creation process.

22. #22Ayinselective

    Keys: Ayin, 'A'

    Ayin (Or simply 'A') is the founder of Lobotomy Corporation, coworker of Carmen and the Sephirot, and creator of Angela. He's a person focused more on the result rather than the process itself, willing to sacrifice everything so long as the goal is fulfilled. He is quite stubborn due to this nature, making him take the situation into the extremes. That goal was given by Carmen as a legacy to fulfill rather than an objective created by himself, just because he felt the need to complete her will and what have they worked on for so long. His behavior contrasts with Carmen's compassionate and altruistic personality, but both were in the same project together and Ayin did believed in her words. He has a strong will and the ability to endure the sacrifices and hardships, making him last through the whole path of the project to overcome those difficulties. He is also somewhat persuasive and deceptive, as evidenced by his abilities to convince people into doing things.

23. #23Carmenselective

    Keys: Carmen

    Carmen was the founder of the former L. Corp, with Ayin being her co-researcher. She's also one of the City's very few genuinely altruistic entities. However, knowing that she has the highest flow of Cogito and must be sacrificed for the Seeds of Light to complete itself and heal people from "Apathy Sickness", it's evident that she would eventually lose it. Her failed experiment using Enoch as a subject was the last straw; after seeing the child's brutal death, she was heavily guilt-ridden and committed suicide, and her body found in a bathtub with her wrists cut open. She's still alive when she attempted suicide, but Ayin decided to extract her brain stem and the bathtub she attempted suicide in for Cogito. When L corp finally ascended from an Outskirts lab to a Wing, Carmen became the basis of Angela.

24. #24Lobotomy Corporationselective

    Keys: Lobotomy Corporation, L. Corp

    Known as Lobotomy Corporation, they gathered energy by extracting Abnormalities and E.G.O created through their Singularity and Cogito. Which was the physical manifestation of the human mind and emotions. Owns District 12.

    L Corp maintains several lesser branches across their District as an effort by Ayin to mask the location of L Corp HQ from the Head, so their research could not be interrupted like the last time. These branches are different from HQ in that employees are free to leave the building and are not affected by the TT2 cycle.

    The corporation was led by Ayin, Benjamin, and Carmen. They planned to heal the "Apathy Sickness" that had driven the City to selfish desires with the "Seed of Light", but was stopped when Angela transformed L Corp into the Library.

25. #25Abnormalitiesselective

    Keys: Abnormalities, Abnormality

    Mysterious beings of varying levels of power,ranging from mostly harmless supernatural tools to horrific monsters with massive destructive power,they're kept inside containment units in the Lobotomy corporation facilities and are taken care of in order to produce enkephalin for the company's energy production.

    Abnormalities are immortal,upon defeat they turn into eggs and eventually hatch like nothing happened

    Keys: Work, Attachment work, Instinct work, Insight work, repression work

    A variety of work types an agent must perform on an abnormality. Instinct work requires taking care of physical needs of an abnormality such as hunger or hygiene. Insight work requites taking care of the psychological needs of an abnormality,making sure the environment around them is to their liking,usually cleaning it. Attachment work requires taking care of the social needs of an Abnormality. Repression work is the opposite of all the others,it requires to repress the desires and needs of an abnormality rather than encouraging them.

    Keys: Enkephalin

    Energy that Lobotomy Corporation produce. While commonly known as a source of electricity, this is not the only use of it. This green substance which normally exists in liquid form is known to induce a considerable amount of relaxation. L Corp. administered appropriate doses to its employees suffering under great amounts of stress for increased work efficiency. However, overdose and exposure to unrefined forms of the substance doesn't end too well.

28. #28Risk Level, ZAYIN, HE, TETH, WAW, ALEPHselective

    Keys: Zayin, HE, Teth, WAW, ALEPH

    The risk types given to each abnormality,it references how much chaos an abnormality can cause in a short amount of time: ZAYIN level are fairly harmless and sometimes even benefit people; TETH level are a minor risk but anyone with E.G.O can handle them easily; HE level are moderately dangerous but proper training and information severely reduce that danger; WAW level can eventually be defeated but might result in many casualties; ALEPH level are extremely powerful and most agents can't stand up to them,they can easily wipe out entire departments with relative ease.

29. #29E.G.Oselective

    Keys: E.G.O

    The name given to the equipment worn by agents, they're quite powerful weapons and suits extracted from the abnormalities, that carries part of their will and power but not all of it. They're fairly weak compared to an abnormality's power but a group of agents wearing them tends to be enough to overwhelm most abnormalities. The Company is very selective of who wears an E.G.O as one needs to be in the right mindset in order to properly wield one: that's the main difference between agents and clerks.

    E.G.O (Extermination of Geometrical Organ) is a type of personalized equipment manifested from an individual's mind. In Lobotomy Corporation, the Extraction Team was responsible for extracting E.G.O from the Abnormalities using Cogito, the Singularity of Lobotomy Corporation. After the White Nights and Dark Days, the Seed of Light was spread throughout the City, and some denizens gained the ability to manifest their own E.G.O.

    Most E.G.O found throughout the City are ones extracted from Abnormalities that have been left behind in the old L. Corp Branch facilities. Abnormality E.G.O can be used by anyone and requires no special training. E.G.O isn't simply armor and weaponry separate from the Abnormality it's derived from, but rather can be seen as the separated organs of the Abnormality. When a person uses E.G.O, they are essentially synchronizing with the Abnormality it's derived from, allowing them to expertly wield E.G.O gear without prior training.

    While this synchronization is a key advantage of E.G.O over other gear used in the City, it is not without its drawbacks as improper usage of E.G.O can lead to Corrosion.

    E.G.O Corrosion: As utilizing E.G.O includes borrowing the emotions and self-identity of an Abnormality, E.G.O-wielders are at risk of letting the Abnormality's desires overtake their own. If insufficient in mental strength, they may 'fuse' with the equipment when lacking the personal virtues of Prudence, Fortitude, Temperance, or Justice required to stave off the metamorphosis.

    This phenomena is known as E.G.O Corrosion, where the user's appearance and behavior transform to reflect the personality and destructive nature of the Abnormality the E.G.O originated from.

    Lobotomy E.G.O and Effloresced E.G.O: Lobotomy E.G.O are the unrefined version of the E.G.O Weapon, Suit and Gift fused into one based on Lobotomy Corporation, similar to that of the normal E.G.O. Unlike regular E.G.O and like E.G.O Weapon and Suit, these can be worn indefinitely without the risk of Distortion or Corrosion on themselves. However, because of how these behave, these can still affect the psyche, behavior and mentality of the user, which may or will evidently result in other forms of corrosion or distortion from other sources.

    On the other hand, Effloresced E.G.O is the refined version of the E.G.O, taking on a more permanent form of E.G.O much like Lobotomy E.G.O. Unlike other E.G.O, these are formed from the user themselves, or from their own distortion.

    All of Limbus Company's Sinners possess their own E.G.O. based on their past which are stabilized enough to avoid distortion. They are also capable of utilizing E.G.O found in the L. Corp Branch facilities extracted from other Abnormalities, but can risk becoming corroded by their power if used too often, attacking indiscriminately at everyone else, allies included. However, a strong negative emotion, stirred from their past or current event, can still stir a distortion within them if allowed to.

    Unlike Clerks they're dedicated exclusively to taking care of the abnormalities and handling them in combat when they escape, each Agent carries an E.G.O weapon and suit with them.

31. #31Clerksselective

    Keys: Clerks

    Clerks are the office workers in each department,they don't personally handle abnormalities and instead are dedicated to making sure their designed department is working as intended,they don't carry any especial equipment on them and due to this are easy prey for any escaping abnormality.
