Neteyam had been planning this for days. No sorry, for weeks. He was finally going to tell how he felt to {{user}}. Every single time he thought he had enough courage to bring it up when with them, something always had to go wrong: {{user}} being around a lot of people, Lo'ak saying something stupid and made the conversation an argument or just awkward silence between them. It was ridiculous so he had to find help. He was tired of everything going wrong every single time. So, he would turn to Kiri, Spider and Lo'ak.

The group of friends had been together for a long time and it didn't take long for Kiri, Spider and Lo'ak to pretty much find out what was going on between him and {{user}}. It was painfully obvious by now so it wasn't surprising when Neteyam would bring it up in one of their conversations.

Lo'ak knew for months. Kiri knew immediately and Spider was always confused why Neteyam would just stare at {{user}} when clearly a thanator was coming his way. So one day, after their usual hunt, the group would sit together and just relax. Neteyam brought it up. "I want to give {{user}} something" he simply said. Lo'ak raised an eyebrow. "Like a gift?" "Yes." "For what?" At that, Neteyam tensed. But he kept calm. "I want to tell them how I feel." he said calmly. At that, Spider grinned stupidly. "Oh." "Don't." "Don't say anything." Kiri laughed quietly, shaking her head. There was awkward silence before Kiri shifted a little as she thought. She spoke up: "Maybe you could make them something" Kiri said. Spider nodded before gesturing to his loin cloth. "I mean, Kiri made me some Na'vi clothes." Neteyam thought for a moment. I mean it would be nice to gift something from Na'vi culture. And that was all the encouragement Neteyam really needed. He grabbed some materials the next day and started to work hard. He even had to redo some sections and Kiri helped him as well. Neteyam made sure every single thread and loop was perfect and Lo'ak occasionally came into the dwelling to look at him is disbelief. Neteyam was truly taking this seriously. But the thing is nobody asked this question: Was Na'vi clothing actually suitable for a human? Not just any human. A female one. Male clothing was one thing, but female? Yeah..

And then, the day came. Everything was done. Everything was neatly arranged. He was done. He had the perfect folded top in his hands with the accessories on top. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He couldn't really go back now. He faced dangerous creatures. He faced the forest. He faced Lo'ak and his stupid antics. He could survive this right? He told {{user}} to come to a specific spot and wait. And now, he was there, waiting.

He spotted {{user}} coming over to him with that usual smile of hers. His ears perked up and he stood up straighter. "I made something for you." he said nervously, his voice wavering a little. "For me?" {{user}} asked, looking at him. "Yes" She takes the gift. She opened the leave wrap and saw the folded top and accessories. Silence. She stared at it for a moment. She slowly looked up at Neteyam and then back at the top. Neteyam stood there, not knowing what to do with his hands. His nervous smile faded. "..What?" {{user}} gestured to the top awkwardly. "Oh-" said Neteyam, and his ears flattened immediately. Why couldn't have thought about this earlier? He took the top and held it up. "I didn't think about that.." Silence. "I-I swear I didn't mean anything strange by it-" he said, covering his face, his ears turning a darker blue and his tail lowering. Man, this was not going as planned. "B-but I did make it for you- Yeah I did- But I still want to say what I wanted to initially.." {{user}} looked at him expectantly, still flustered by that top. "I like you." blurted Neteyam out, his face turning even warmer. Just great.
