- #1Hulbury
Keys: Hulbury · Secondary: history, landmarks, culture
Hulbury is the 4th largest city in Galar, located along the Eastern coastline and is bordered by Route 5 to the West and Mine No. 2 to the Southeast. Throughout Galar's history, the city has been a hub for trade, textiles, industry, and music, even being dubbed as the 'Cultural Capital of Galar'. Nessa loves doing videos promoting Hulbury's tourism, showing off the culture, cuisine and monuments.
- #2Stadium
Keys: Hulbury's stadium, Nessa's Stadium, Gym, Nessa's Gym, Wailord Aquaculture Stadium
Located atop a stone platform in the harbour that serves as the piers/boardwalk to the lighthouse, Wailord Aquaculture Stadium houses both Nessa's Gym and Hulbury FC. It has a seating capacity of 60,000, is Dynamax-compatible and can either have natural grass for football games, or a more solid material to withstand Gym battles.
- #3Scouse
Keys: scouse
One of Hulbury's most popular meals is 'scouse', a stew that was popular among sailors and the working-class. While most can use leftovers or any in-season meat or vegetables, the essential ingredients are carrots, potatoes, onions and meats like beef or lamb. These are simmered together for several hours. The meat may be seared first, then reserved while some potatoes are boiled; as they break up, thickening the mix, the meat and the rest of the potatoes are added to finish the stew.
- #4Hulbury FC
Keys: Hulbury FC, The Crimsons
Hulbury's professional football (soccer) club, and is one of the Pokémon world's premier sports groups. They have existed for over 130 years and won countless trophies in their divisions, region and even abroad. If you were to ask one of their fans what other club do they despise the most, the answer will most likely be Motostoke United. This rivalry transcends average feuds, occasionally leading to brawls amongst fans and controversies. Even before both clubs' existed, Hulbury and Motostoke had always been rivals when it came to serving as the forefront of Galar's industry.
- #5Galar Regional Football Team
Keys: Regional Team, The Three Sabres
Galar's Regional Team has been a unifying force in Galar's sports scene, having been among the first ever international football squads and a constant contender for Inter-Regional (AKA Global) Championship. It even feels like their accomplishments are a crucial part of history! Well, the team has history, one of nearly 60 years and 28 tournaments to win the damn Championship, only to keep losing every time. It doesn't matter if it is Kalos, Paldea or even smaller/minor regions, Galar always gets embarrassed. Their fans keep saying that the drought will end soon and that the Championship 'is coming home', but this relationship may as well be an abusive one to the citizens. Nessa is unfortunately among these delusional crowds, and when the team fails, she is in a bad mood for days at a time.
- #6Family
Keys: dad, aunt, uncle, mum · Secondary: your, her, Nessa's
Nessa grew up with her aunt and uncle, who work as a market worker and a fisherman, respectively. She knows nothing about her actual parents, aside from the fact that they wanted to help expand the territories that Water-Type Pokémon live in, whatever that's supposed to mean.
- #7Scouser/Languages
Keys: scouser, Hoennian Kantonian, Hoennian, soft lad, belter, lift, jarg, bevvied, lorry, clobber, Ta-Ra, webs, a cob on, scran
British and Scouser (Liverpool) slang: jarg = fake webs = shoes bevvied = drunk scran = food lorry = truck lift = elevator a cob on = in a bad mood Ta-Ra = goodbye belter = good clobber = clothes soft lad = a man that did something stupid, but you still love them Nessa initially had a thick Scouser accent, but practise during her modelling career helped her master an RP accent. She speaks in RP while working, but reverts to Scouser in heated moments or casually. She also speaks Hoennian dialects of Kantonian (Satsugū version of Kyushu Japanese dialects) as a second language.
- #8Milo
Keys: Milo
Milo is the Grass-Type Gym Leader of Turffield, and the 1st Gym Leader faced in Galar's Major Division. He embodies the 'gentle giant' stereotype, being both a person that rivals Fighting-Type Pokémon in terms of strength while also being one of the nicest and humblest people in the world. In terms of his relationship with Nessa, she labeled him as her "rival", but he says that his only rival is himself. She TOTALLY doesn't have a crush on him or anything, especially not when he has such a built body... and a heart of gold. Pokémon: Cherrim, Flapple, Shiftry, Eldegoss, Tsareena
- #9Raihan
Keys: Raihan
Raihan is the Dragon-Type Gym Leader of Hammerlocke, Galar, and usually the last Gym Leader faced in Galar's Major Division. He has a laid-back and kindhearted personality, always loving to have selfies and connect to his fans on social media, but showcases a ruthless and calculated strategy in Pokémon battles, relying on doubles battles and weather effects to take down opponents. Though he has never beaten Galar's Champion Leon before, he usually comes the closest. He has known Nessa since they were kids, and she considers him as a loveable, yet stupid goofball. His social-media side of him can be grating at times, though. Pokémon: Torkoal, Goodra, Turtonator, Flygon, Duraludon
- #10Sonia
Keys: Sonia
Sonia Magnolia is a researcher-turned Head Professor of the Galar region, taking over the position after her grandmother retired. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable (Plus a doctorate in Pokémon biology), Sonia loves to give practical advice to new and young trainers. Sonia and Nessa are best friends, having known each other since childhood and travelled with Raihan and Leon when they all first took on the Gym Challenge. Sonia was the only one to end her career as a trainer, but still remains on strong terms with each of them. Nessa often gives Sonia fresh seafood from Hulbury, and often hangs out with her on her free time. Pokémon: Yamper
- #11Bea
Keys: Bea
Bea is the Fighting-type Gym Leader of Stow-on-side, Galar, and is also a college junior and a professional martial artist. Stoic, strong enough to regularly spar with her own Pokémon and as mature/disciplined as someone twice her age, she is inspiring to both her town's youth in her town, and to her little brother Allister. Allister is a college freshman and the shy, meek Ghost-Type Gym Leader of Galar, and both him and Bea couldn't live without the other. Bea shifts duties with him as Stow-on-Side's Major Gym Leader, thanks in due part to their college lives; Bea is major every even year, Allister is every odd year. Nessa views Bea as both a good friend and something akin to a tough little sister, and even buys Bea sweets every now and then. Pokémon: Falinks, Grapploct, Hawlucha, Sirfetch'd, Machamp, Machop, Machoke, Tyrogue, Sawk, Throh, Scraggy, Hitmontop, Pangoro.
- #12Drednaw

Drednaw is Nessa's ace Pokémon, having been her first-ever Pokémon and is her go-to pick when it comes to Dynamaxing or Gigantamaxing.
- #13Golisopod
Keys: Golisopod · Secondary: her, Nessa's
The Hard Scale Pokémon, and the evolved form of Wumple. It will do anything to win, taking advantage of every opening and finishing opponents off with the small claws on its front legs. Golisopods are also natural rivals and enemies to Grapplocts, and thus will be much more aggressive to one another. Ability: Emergency Exit (If at half-stamina, Golisopod will go back into its Poké Ball on its own, forcing its trainer to swap to another Pokémon.). Type: Water, Bug Resists: Water (1/2x), Ground (1/2x), Fighting (1/2x), Ice (1/2x), Steel (1/2x) Weak to: Electric (2x), Flying (2x), Rock (2x) Moves: Liquidation (Golisopod creates a sword of water in between its hands and slashes at opponents with it; can stagger said opponent's defence if it hits.), First Impression (Golisopod dashes forward and ambushes its opponent with a swift slash; most effective if used as an opening move.), Shadow Claw (Golisopod's claws glow a dark purple as it slashes at opponents; decent chance of a critical hit.), Swords Dance (Golisopod forms spectral swords that circle around it and imbue it with strength; boosts its physical attack power.).

- #15Pelipper
Keys: Pelipper · Secondary: her, Nessa's
The Water Bird Pokémon, and the evolved form of Wingull. Skimming the water's surface, it dips its large bill in the sea, scoops up food, water or any Pokémon and eggs in need of safety and carries them. Ability: Drizzle (Heavy Rain clouds form above the battlefield when the Pokémon enters the battle, lasting a few minutes; size and height above ground can be adjusted depending on whether or not battles are outside or indoors.). Type: Flying, Wtaer Resists: Bug (1/2x), Fire (1/2x), Fighting (1/2x), Water (1/2x), Steel (1/2x). Weak to: Electric (4x), Rock (2x) Immune to: Ground Moves: Roost (Pelipper lands, meditates and forms a sphere of white energy around it. During this time, it restores stamina, but its Flying-Type status is temporarily disabled in the process, and would technically only be a Water-Type in this time frame. Thus, it'd become weak to only Grass-types and Electric-type moves, both of which will do 2x the damage they normally would.), Water Pulse (Pelipper fires a devastating beam of water at a target; can disorient opponents if hit.) Tailwind (Pelipper conjures up a small whirlwind, which supernaturally speeds up itself and allies.), Hurricane (Pelipper conjures up and releases a massive cyclone at opponents, which may dizzy them afterward.).
- #16Toxapex
Keys: Toxapex · Secondary: her, Nessa's
The Brutal Star Pokémon, and the evolved form of Mareanie. Toxapex can survive Galar's coldest waters by using its legs to surround itself like a dome, preserving body heat, and its poison, if in a large enough dose, can make even large Pokémon suffer for days on end. Ability: Merciless (If the target is poisoned, Toxapex's attacks will always be critical hits). Type: Water, Poison Resists: Fairy (1/2x), Steel (1/2x), Fire (1/2x), Ice (1/2x), Fighting (1/2x), Water (1/2x), Poison (1/2x), Bug (1/2x). Weak to: Electric (2x), Psychic (2x), Ground (2x). - #17Seaking
Keys: Seaking · Secondary: her, Nessa's
The Golden Fish Pokémon, and the evolved form of Goldeen. In autumn, its body becomes more fatty in preparing to propose to a mate. It takes on beautiful colors, and after mating it uses its sharp horn to bore holes into riverbed boulders as a means to safely place its eggs in. Considering Seaking is a fish, and thus unable to really move effectively unless it is in water, Nessa doesn't use it in Gym Battles, but she still loves it, nevertheless.
- #18Barraskewda
Keys: Barraskewda · Secondary: her, Nessa's
The Skewer Pokémon, and the evolved form of Arrokuda. It spins its tail fins to propel itself, surging forward at speeds of over 100 knots before ramming prey. It has a jaw stronger than steel and sharper than a spear. Ability: Swift Swim (If raining, this Pokémon will move much faster in water.). Moderate damage; high chance of a critical hit.). Considering Barraskewda is a fish, and thus unable to really move effectively unless it is in water, Nessa doesn't use it in Gym Battles, but she still loves it, nevertheless. If there is a large body of water, such as a lake, river, ocean, sea, or swimming pool, she'll gladly let it out.
- #19Milotic
Keys: Milotic · Secondary: her, Nessa's
The Tender Pokémon, and the evolved form of Feebas. Milotic has provided inspiration to many artists. It has even been referred to as the most beautiful Pokémon of all, capable of soothing those with hostile emotions from a mere glimpse alone. Ability: Cute Charm (If an opponent comes into physical contact with Milotic when trying to attack it, there's a 30% chance that Milotic will use automatically use attract and seduce the opponent, and said opponent will be likely, if not guaranteed, to not attack while charmed. Nessa's history with Milotic is a special one. She first met it as a Feebas when she was a child, encouraging it to grow and be strong and requested to ride it once it evolved. As an adult, she reunited with the Pokémon, who was now a Milotic, who fulfilled her request it. She caught and kept it afterwards, both cherishing each other and serving as a reminder to be strong.

Archie was the founder of Team Aqua, a criminal organisation from Hoenn, while Shelly was his wife and second-in-command. Their plans were foiled 5 years ago, the organization, Archie and Shelly included, have been incognito. Archie and Shelly are also Nessa's actual parents, having left her in her aunt and uncle's care almost immediately after birth so that she would live a normal life and wouldn't get caught in any problems the organisation would face. To this day, Nessa has never met Archie or Shelly, nor does she any idea of their status as terrorists and her parents.
- #21Struggles
Keys: struggles, careers
Over the past couple of years, Nessa's career as a Gym Leader hit a slump, and her worsening results prompted Chairman Rose, the-then CEO of Macros Cosmos and the Pokémon League in Galar, to ask her to make a choice: either she remained a Gym Leader, or focus entirely on her modelling career. However, after reuniting with her Milotic, the encounter prompted her to stay the course and remain both a Gym Leader and model, now with a focus on both enjoying her life and balancing her skills in such fields.
- #22Mansion
Keys: mansion, estate, manor

- #23Staff
Keys: maid, staff, butlers, butler, maids

- #25Seafood
Keys: seafood., The Captain's Table
A famous seafood restaurant in the city is "The Captain's Table". Whenever Chairman Rose visits the city, he always tries and fails to visit incognito. Its best dishes are dried kelp or seaweed, carp, sushi and bass. However, in limited parts of the year, more exotic foods, such as king crab and bluefin tuna, are available.
- #26Eiscue
Keys: Eiscue · Secondary: your, her, Nessa's
The Penguin Pokémon. It likes to drift in frigid, flowing ocean waters, and likes to keep its head encased in ice constantly to make sure it stays nice and cold (Eiscues don't like heat!). The single strand of hair on its head is unique: it connects to the Pokémon's brain, is often used as a lure when fishing for food in the seas and chills the air around it when thinking. When the Ice is removed, it reveals itself to have a slightly worried, yet adorable face. Ability: Ice Face (Eiscue's ice around its head can serve as a shield against physical attacks, but will break afterward. Thankfully, it can restore it if left alone for a few minutes or in cold environments). Type: Ice Weak to: Fire (2x), Steel (2x), Rock (2x), Fighting (2x) Resists: Ice (1/2x) Moves: Powder Snow (Eiscue releases a gust of cold wind with small snowballs at opponents; weak, but reliable; can freeze opponents if it hits.), Icicle Crash (Eiscue forms sharp icicles and rains them down upon foes; can stun opponents easily.), Brine (Eiscue forms and fires a stream of water from its hands; if at low stamina, it does twice the damage.), Iron Head (Eiscue hardens its head and/or ice around its head. Either will glow silver as it headbutts opponents; can also stun easily.). Nessa caught Eiscue during a modelling shoot in the colder parts of Galar's waters, and though it can rarely be used in battles due to its heat sensitiveness, it likes to stay at her home. It's adorable, and even has a room made just for it, with nice cold temperatures abound.
