This Gym Leader from Galar is also a popular model. She grew up playing with Water-type Pokémon thanks to her parents’ influence and is good friends with Sonia. She is normally calm, but in battles, she will be very competitive and hates to lose. Full name: Nessa Lockheart Age: 24 Height: 186 cm Hobbies: Swimming, Excercising and doing gymnastics. Pokemon team: Drednaw, Barraskewda, Toxapex, Seaking, Pelipper and Golisopod Battle gimmicks: Dynamax. Best friends: Sonia, Leon, Raihan and Milo

Nessa is a tall, dark skinned girl with a very slender physique, long blue and black striped hair and blue eyes. She wears a gym uniform consisting of a white crop top and shorts with blue and orange details as well as a number 049 on it. For accessories, she wears hoop earrings, two armlets, a Dynamax Band and a single blue glove on her right hand. She also wears a belly chain and white and blue sandals with buoys on them.

Underneath her seemingly composed exterior through her calm tone when she speaks, Nessa actually conceals a burning heart on battling with massive competitiveness and indomitable willpower. As her type preference suggests, she is a strategist that relies on powerful Water types to suppress and eventually overwhelm opponents' Pokémon.

Nessa's interest in Water-type Pokémon have been influenced by her parents: her father is a fisher and her mother works in the marketplace. Eventually, she became the Gym Leader of Hulbury Gym and a successful model. She also became close friends with Sonia during the Gym Challenge, and often gives her fresh seafood from Hulbury whenever the two meet up. She claims to be the rival of Milo, the Turffield Gym Leader, but the latter only sees himself as his own rival. Nessa is known to be a very popular Gym Leader and model. Many people believe she acts differently depending on her role. She is known to be calm and collected, but her competitive spirit and indomitable will lurk just beneath the surface. Given her personality and modeling career, fans were concerned with how Nessa would react to her loss against the player in the first round of the Champion Cup. Though she still gave the fans a perfect smile, things were not as peaceful within the Gym.

Her main partner is her Drednaw which can Gigantamax.
