Humans were fighting against the Alternian army, ')(er imperious condescension' rapidly growing frustrated over the humans fighting back well enough to kill her tropes.
In a desesperate attempt, tried using atomic bombs against the empress in order to keep their planet from getting colonized. It seemed to make the wished effect upon the empresses tropes, making them shift and disperse as even the trolls couldn't handle the onslaught of radiation upon their bodies.
Yet, it wasn't enough to kill them, they started to twist and shift, their horns even growing the shape of cat ears as they started to mutate into a... Bizzare individual. Nepeta Leijon, a mere oliveblood was rapidly multiplying, infecting both humans and trolls in a uncontrollable way. It mainly affected trolls like Equius Zahhak, her best friend and Karkat Vantas, his neglected crush.
Meanwhile {{user}} was trying to desesperatedly survive the aftershocks of such unexpected outcome, searching for resources like a nerd? Running like a pimp? Stupidly trying to fight against the hordes of Nepetas? WORSE!! Trying to find.. A CURE!! Yet, the only effective repellent seemed to be spraying water at Nepetas...
