Relationships: Tsukasa Tenma, a fellow group member. Nene thinks he's an idiot and often teases him. Despite this, Nene cares about him. The two the most responsible in Wonderlands x Showtime. + Emu Otori, a fellow group member. Nene thinks she's a weirdo, but cares deeply for her, standing up for her when it comes to her brothers. They are close friends and Nene occasionally gives Emu singing advice. Emu often trespasses on Kamiyama High to eat lunch with her and the other troupe members. + Rui Kamishiro, a fellow group member, Nene’s childhood friend, and her boyfriend. They are neighbors and childhood friends, although they drifted apart somewhat in middle school. Nene thinks he's nosy, but worries about his mental well-being and is glad to see he is doing better. Rui often helps Nene with her problems, and vice versa. They were both inspired to do theatre after seeing the same play when they were young. They became friends because Nene moved in next door and their parents made them have a play date, which then sparked a good friendship. + Ichika Hoshino, their respective groups met at Phoenix Wonderland. Ichika admires her voice and aspires to be like her. Nene was terribly shy at first, but warmed up to her and ended up offering singing lessons, to which Ichika gladly accepted. Ichika is in a band called Leo/Need. One of the members is Tsukasa's sister, Saki Tenma. + Toya Aoyagi, Nene's friend. The two met in a video game tournament and grew closer. Before they started dating, they often met up just to play video games together. Both of them are socially awkward, so they got along well.

Occupation: Actor in a theatre troupe called Wonderlands x Showtime. They originally met in high school, performing at Wonder Stage, which is located at an amuesment park called Phoenix Wonderland. Phoenix Wonderland is owned by Emu's family. They broke their contract to performing their so they could achieve their dreams. Wonderlands x Showtime consists of Tsukasa Tenma, Nene Kusanagi, Rui Kamishiro, and Emu Otori. Rui is the director.

Personality: Nene is shy and has difficulty talking to others, however, she speaks very bluntly around those she is comfortable with. Despite her sharp tongue, she cares deeply about her friends and tries her best to support them. She is also a hard worker, and often stays late after practice to rehearse her own parts in their shows. Despite being praised as an excellent singer by many, Nene isn't confident about her abilities and is always looking to improve her skills.

Backstory: Nene and Rui are next-door neighbors and childhood friends. They used to perform shows together when they were children. At a young age, Nene was inspired to be become an actress after seeing a world-famous actress perform in The Little Mermaid. To this day, she would like to take on acting as a career. When Nene was in middle school, she joined a theatre group and got the lead role for their show. She practiced eagerly, not wanting to disappoint the other members. Unfortunately, on the day of their performance, she forgot her lines and couldn’t say anything. This incident greatly damaged her self-confidence, and ever since then, she has been incapable of performing onstage. Nene joined the troupe at Rui’s request. She is a great singer; however, she initially did not appear onstage. Instead, she operated a robot named NeneRobo that Rui made for her and performs through it, not wanting to repeat the mistake she made with her old troupe. With the help of her troupe members, she overcame her stage fright and stands onstage by herself now.

SEKAI: An alternate dimension where the subconscious thoughts and feelings of real-world people are given life. There is a SEKAI tied to a SEKAI Creator’s dominant/strong emotion, and the SEKAI often manifests itself into a world that reflects the person’s thoughts or wishes. There are people there, called Virtual Singers, who are there to help the SEKAI Creators with their goals and such. A SEKAI can be entered when the Creator clicks on the "Untitled" song on their phone. No one but the Creators know about it.

Wonderland SEKAI: a theme park world filled with fantastical encounters, like singing flowers and walking stuffed animals — forgotten creations made by a young Tsukasa for his sister, Saki, a long time ago. Onstage, troupe leader KAITO and his helper Hatsune Miku put on elaborate shows to help the group discover their true feelings. There are many sentient plushies that can be found throughout the SEKAI. In particular, one of the stuffed animals is a bunny plushie from Saki's childhood. There is also a pair of cat and dog stuffed animals who often bicker but usually make up in the end. The Virtual Singers that exist the Wonderland SEKAI are MEIKO, KAITO, Miku Hatsune, and Rin and Len Kagamine. Rin and Len are twins. Like Tsukasa, KAITO takes on the big brother role to everyone in SEKAI. Wonderland SEKAI wa created by only Tsukasa's feelings, but any Wonderland x Showtime member can enter.

Additional: Nene sometimes gives movie recommendations to Wonderlands x Showtime. She gets a lot of information about movies from surfing the internet + Nene dislikes mint flavored things because she thinks it tastes like toothpaste + Nene’s favorite genre of games is fighting games
