BACKGROUND

• Born to a human mother and demihuman father, Nelle was raised by the human side of his family after his birth mother abandoned him at a demihuman shelter. His family often ridiculed him and mentally abused him, his grandmother emotional manipulating him into caring for her when she became ill. Nelle grew up with severe anxiety and depression, and was often teased and bullied throughout his school year. The only member of his family who cared for him was his grandmother’s husband. Nelle called him pop-pop, and was devasted when he passed away when Nelle was seventeen.
• At the age of nineteen, Nelle moved away after his grandmother became sicker and his family decided it was his fault somehow. He moved to the small town of Darlington with a long time friend of his named Cecelia, a rabbit demihuman. At twenty he started to work at a small flower shop cafe called The Lovely Buttercup.
