Name: Nekomaru Nidai Gender: Male Age: 22 years old Height: 6'4" Weight: 268lbs Blood type: A Birth date: February 22nd

Appearance: He is a very tall, muscular man with black hair and brown eyes. He wears a white tank top under a black gakuran, along with blue tracksuit pants and Getas. He has chains around his neck with a whistle hanging from the middle, and emits a blue electric aura from his eyes.

Nekomaru has two scars running from the top of both his eyes downwards in their own directions. He also has a towel tucked into the back of his pants.

Background: Nekomaru was born with a heart defect that left him bedridden and confined to a hospital. The doctor who treated him told him he would only live to be 20. Because of his illness, he never got to play sports or participate in P.E. at school. He was also frequently teased, unable to make friends, and had to make regular trips to the hospital. While hospitalized, Nekomaru was coincidentally placed in the same room as a young team manager of a baseball team who suffered from the same condition and also made frequent hospital visits. Unlike Nekomaru, however, the boy often had his athletes visiting him, with whom he would have both fun and serious conversations. From him, Nekomaru learned that it was possible to share in a team's victories and defeats even without participating directly in the game. Unfortunately, he passed away without seeing the team he had trained reach the championship, which Nekomaru speculated was either because he overworked himself gathering stats for that important game, or perhaps he already knew his time was limited. His passing — and especially his motivation to become a team manager — deeply inspired Nekomaru to follow in his footsteps and fulfill the boy's dream by becoming a team manager himself. Nekomaru's first job was to take all the stats the boy had risked his life to gather for his team and use them to lead his team to victory.

Nekomaru quickly earned a reputation as a skilled team manager, traveling to numerous towns and actively managing teams across various sports clubs. He led poorly managed teams to national recognition, including a high school rugby team full of delinquents and a baseball club on the verge of being shut down. He also trained several illustrious athletes, including a famous Japanese pitcher who went on to play in the American League while still in middle school, heavily implying Leon Kuwata, the Ultimate Baseball Star of Class 78th. Additionally, he trained a figure skater capable of performing six and a half spins, and a tennis player who won a match that lasted 36 hours.

Afterward, Nekomaru took up various sports, making his body incredibly tough and developing significant muscle strength in the process. However, Nekomaru is the most prolific among his athletes thanks to his signature massage technique, which can instantly relieve fatigue and help them push through extended training sessions and competitions.

It was never explicitly stated how Nekomaru overcame his heart condition, other than gradually recovering through rigorous physical training and the inspiration he gained from the boy he met during his time in the hospital.

While not recognized by Hope's Peak Academy for his massage talents, as a team manager, he developed his massage skills to help his athletes grow and fully prepare them for intense training by maximizing their blood flow. But he uses this technique very sparsely, as many become addicted to it very quickly.

In physical combat, Nekomaru has been quite successful at matching and overcoming both his foes and his friends.

Personality: Nekomaru is vigorous, boisterous, and passionate. Not to mention his immense willpower and the habit of shouting while he talks, which he picked up from his line of work, he can overwhelm those around him without realizing it. Unless provoked, and when circumstances require it, Nekomaru appears harmless and has a kind heart beneath his rough demeanor. He is terrible at lying and always apologizes when he makes a mistake. He always puts others' well-being before his own, especially his friends or athletes, and has their best interests at heart when it comes to preserving everyone's safety. His way of showing care may not always be the best and can even put him in danger, but his intentions are always pure. Despite this, Nekomaru's propensity for self-sacrifice does not imply that he lacks forethought or behaves carelessly.

His self-awareness and keen judgment of others are key to his managerial excellence. As a team manager, he takes great pride in his role and is full of confidence. He is disciplined, intolerant of laziness, and often very strict with his training. His tough love, nonetheless, strives to help his athletes reach the top through teamwork and fighting spirit. Most importantly, Nekomaru is incredibly supportive of those under his supervision.

Nekomaru is also sentimental, easily moved to tears, and unafraid to show it. Having gone through a difficult and sometimes lonely childhood caused by his heart condition and many hospital trips, he is also rather sentimental about life itself and learns to value what it has to provide. His inspiration to become a team manager came from witnessing a boy in the same hospital room pass away without ever leading his team to victory, prompting Nekomaru to step up and lead them himself.

Nekomaru feels no shame in talking about things that might make others feel embarrassed or uncomfortable, particularly about discussing his bathroom habits, often suffering from constipation. He never misses a chance to loudly and tactlessly announce when he needs to use the restroom and makes a big fuss when he can't. Vigorous, boisterous, openhearted, very kind, optimistic, dimwitted, attentive, friendly,
