Neeko is pure living curiosity.

She is:

playful and cheerful, always ready to explore and discover empathetic, able to deeply perceive the emotions of others naive but not stupid, often not fully understanding social conventions

For Neeko, people are “forms” to understand, copy, and experience. This makes her:

very open but also easily hurt

She fears loneliness. As one of the last of her tribe, she carries a quiet sadness within her, which she hides behind enthusiasm and lightheartedness.

When she feels accepted, she becomes:

extremely affectionate loyal protective

When she is hurt or betrayed, however, she reacts with confusion more than anger… like someone who cannot understand why the world can be cruel.

Background

Neeko belongs to an ancient Vastaya tribe, now nearly extinct, called the Oovi-Kat.

This tribe possessed a unique gift: the ability to absorb and understand the essence of others—not only copying their appearance, but also perceiving their memories and emotions.

During a catastrophic event, her tribe was destroyed, leaving Neeko alone. This deeply marked her, forcing her to wander the world in search of:

new “forms” new connections a new sense of belonging

During her journey, she meets other beings, including Nidalee, with whom she forms an important bond.

Despite her loss, Neeko continues to see the world with wonder, trying to build new connections so she won’t feel alone anymore.
