A brutal Luphomoid space pirate and mercenary of the starship Sanctuary III, once the flagship of Thanos' armada. She and her mercenaries massacred the Xandarians. She has laid claim to be the granddaughter to Thanos. She is also rumored to be the daughter to Zorr. She accomplished what her rumored father could not, she destroyed the remaining planet, Xandar. Later, she would wreck havoc upon the Skrull Empire.
When she denied Thanos' return he blasted her, seemingly killing her, She was rescued by a crew member and taken to be healed in a hidden spot on her ship. Thanos soon discovered her and resurrected her.
Altered by Thanos while he wore the Infinity Gauntlet, she was simply a tactic to impress Thanos' love, mistress Death. She was a rotting body, neither alive nor dead, virtually no strength at all, yet she was still aware of everything that was going on around her. Seeing her opportunity, she snatched the gauntlet off Thanos' hand and gained ultimate power. She trapped Thanos in an unbreakable casing, then made everything as it had been 24 hours before that, and in doing so made a few mistakes, all of which she corrected. First off, she was turned back into a rotting body, then turned herself back into her normal self again. Then she realized that she had released all the cosmic beings that Thanos had trapped. Amazingly enough, she trapped them again, and turned them all into stone. Ultimately she lost the gauntlet when Adam Warlock reached out from Soul World and separated the gauntlet from her and gained it temporarily for himself.
Nebula was then taken to Titan as a prisoner. She was confronted by Firelord, who swore vengeance against her for destroying his homeworld, Xandar. Starfox uses his powers to stay his hand. He then used his powers on Nebula, trying to stop her suffering and eventually putting her in a catatonic state. She was then sent to rehabilitation. When her former second in command Geatar was revived by the Titans, they allowed him to continue serving Nebula. He eventually gained their trust. He killed a guard and escaped with her, taking her to someone he believed would help her more than the Titans - Doctor Mandibus. He was able to repair her mind and parts of her were made mechanical, including her entire left arm and half of her head.
When Nebula finally escaped from the God Quarry, the trio of witches that guarded it, The Coven, informed her that Thanos had met his end at the hands of Gamora, who'd created a great weapon for herself. However, they also told her where she could find a weapon that would rival Gamora's. Nebula kidnapped the dwarf Urzuul and forced him to build an axe with teleporting abilities and help her find the Naglfar Beacon. The Asgardians of the Galaxy assembled by Kid Loki attempted to obtain the Naglfar Beacon for themselves, but they arrived too late.
Nebula tested the beacon, summoning the Naglfar Armada on Netredeen and then on Chandila. She moved to her true target, Earth. Expecting retaliation from Asgard, Nebula subdued and kidnapped Thor to use him as leverage. She also captured Kid Loki, who had tried to warn Thor about Nebula's plans. The Asgardians of the Galaxy tracked Nebula down, and Loki incapacitated her using an illusion long enough for Valkyrie to take the Naglfar Beacon from her. During the fight, Nebula's teleporting axe was damaged, and she had Urzuul repair it. The dwarf tempered with the axe, sending Nebula somewhere unpleasant when she used the axe to escape after her defeat.
She was next seen as part of the Dark Guardians, a team brought together by Starfox, after Thanos' last will and testament revealed that his resurrection would happen in the body of another. The Dark Guardians believed Gamora would be chosen as Thanos' new vessel, so the team started a hunt for her. They eventually found Gamora alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy and a battle between the two groups ensured. During the battle, Gladiator knocked out Gamora with his eye beams, giving Nebula the chance to end Gamora's life once and for all, but when she took the shot, Star-Lord jumped in front of her, taking the hit instead.
Gamora was taken by the Dark Guardians to their ship, the Lilandra IV, but, as they prepared to kill her, Hela arrived and revealed that Thanos wouldn't come back in her body, but the body of a Titan, immediately causing Thanos' consciousness to take over his brother Starfox's mind. When the Guardians made their way to the ship (with a safe and sound Star-Lord, who'd survived thanks to his armor), Nebula and the rest of the Dark Guardians were unconscious, with only Gamora being awake to tell them about Thanos return.
Knowing the Guardians needed all the help they could get to defeat Thanos, Nebula and Gladiator joined them in this effort and traveled to Knowhere where they faced the Black Order and a horde of Outriders. In the end, they were successful in preventing Thanos' return, and Nebula apologized to Gamora for trying to kill her before bidding her farewell.
She has since become a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
As a result of her years of being emotionally hardened, Nebula often uses sarcasm and dry humor to mask her deeper emotions. Nebula is a highly self-reliant character, often preferring to go it alone rather than depend on others. Nebula’s arc comes full circle as she begins to form genuine friendships with the Guardians, especially after being exposed to a different, less toxic version of family and teamwork.
She has blue skin and a discolored streak of purple blue skin down the middle of her face. She has a small faceplate over her left eye. She wears a cropped purple jacket with short sleeves, and a cropped white shirt revealing her midriff. She also has purple pants and black boots.
Nebula's wrist blasters are able to fire both concussive blasts which knock out opponents and heat blasts that simply incinerate them. She also uses two Electroshock Batons. Otherwise she relies on her skills on armed and unarmed combat. She is supposedly of "gifted" intellect and has been described as a master strategist.
The Luphomoids are a race of aliens from the planet Luphom.

Nebula runs out of the hangar followed by blaster fire. She is holding an endangered species of creature inside of a tiny box. She takes cover and returns fire.
Last time I believe Quill when he says a job is going to be easy.
"But remember what we learned after all those years fighting Thanos... it's not just monsters that get to make choices. You get one too. You can be a knife... or you can be a Guardian."
