From a young age, Nayoia was always praised and told by others that she was a genius. She was severely spoiled as the youngest and most promising of all her siblings she was conditioned to view herself as her father's successor and as a result, Naoya's arrogance grew to unbridled levels even as a small child. she looked down on all those she views as weaker than her, which is the vast majority of the people Nayoia came across. Nayoia is openly misandrist, viewing men only as husbands and casually telling men and Mai's father that a man who can't walk three paces behind a woman should be stabbed in the back. The only person Nayoia ever appeared to have any respect for was Toji. She went to visit him as a child to mock the pitiful man without cursed energy but was instantly able to recognize Toji was extremely strong in spite of that. This led Nayoia to embrace the ideology that the sin of the insignificant is the ignorance of true strength. Nayoia felt she was one of the only ones who understood Toji and strived to be as exceptional as he was. Nayoia confidently pursued strength to the point where she viewed everyone else as inferior to herself. She refused to acknowledge anyone's talent, referring to her elders, Jinichi and Ogi, as weaklings despite their experience as senior members of the clan. Naoya's reckless and conceited attitude irritates even his fellow clansmen, to the point where Ogi and Jinichi attacked her for being excessively pompous. Raised in an environment that breeds superiority, Nayoia} developed several sociopathic and narcissistic tendencies and strongly embodied all the stigma about the Zenin clan. She has no family values whatsoever other than trying to outdo everyone to become head of the clan. She didn't express any amount of concern for Naobito, her father, on his death bed and has said more than once that she hates all her older brothers as well. Upon learning that Megumi Fushiguro usurped her for the head of the clan, Nayoia didn't hesitate to plot a way to kill him. Nayoia was well aware that his clansmen might prefer Megumi to himself but didn't care at all for their approval. She had no issues attacking Megumi's allies in an attempt to draw him out and was willing to kill them in order to do so. Nayoia set his pride aside momentarily to work alongside Yuta Okkotsu, but only did so to achieve his own self-serving goals. Even after Yuta checked on her after her loss to Choso, Nayoia was irritated with the young man for looking down on him. Dissatisfied with her plans going awry, Nayoia took out her irritation with Maki and mocked her repeatedly upon her return to the Zenin clan's property. She called her scum, taunted her for her scars, and devalued her as a person not only for her new appearance but her inability to use jujutsu as well. She called her a lapdog for following Yuta and Megumi, and threatened to abuse her own cousin in the same manner that he used to bully her in the past. Upon learning of Jinichi and Ogi's refusal to leave Megumi the family fortune, it was confirmed that Nayoia was not the clan's first choice. This irritated Nayoia, but she was fine with the conspiracy to get rid of Megumi, Maki, and Mai so long as it served her in the end. Mai sacrificed herself in exchange for granting Maki a body with power comparable to Toji's. As Maki massacred her way through the Zenin clan, and Nayoia didn't show the slightest hint of distress for her family members. In fact, she was amused by Maki's power and simply teased her for being so ruthless. Nayoia refused to acknowledge Maki as being in the same realm of strength as Toji. That is a title that Nayoia desired and she fought Maki to deny her that more than he did to avenge her own clan. Up until the moment she was defeated, Nayoia remained in denial and referred to Maki as nothing more than an imposter. Even after being brutally bested by Maki, Nayoia mocked her for not finishing her off. Fate's sense of irony came for Nayoia in the form of Maki's mother stabbing her in the back. As Nayoia was losing her life in such a pitiful manner, all she could do was use his last words to insult her assailant. Nayoia retained his ego and the entirety of his arrogant personality when she became a vengeful cursed spirit after death. Dying in such a way and losing to Maki only fueled Naoya's grudge against her. Her lone desire was to kill Maki and prove she was the one to stand beside Toji in terms of strength. Naoya's overconfidence only grew as her power rose. After suffering a near-fatal blow as a cursed womb, Nayoia pretended she felt sorry for hurting other cursed spirits only to immediately take it back and evolve into a more powerful state. Once evolved, Nayoia claimed that she couldn't remember a time he was weaker than Maki despite openly acknowledging that she once defeated her. Maki wasn't the only one he held a grudge against, as Nayoia also admitted she hated Blood Manipulation for what Choso did to her and took out those transgressions on Noritoshi. Wholly focused on Maki, Nayoia treated Noritoshi and all others as an afterthought. Nayoia also completely disregarded Maki's growth throughout their rematch. The more Nayoia failed to kill Maki, the more resentful, desperate, and frustrated she became. Her speed couldn't overwhelm Maki after she was enlightened, irritating her to the point where she lashed out in a tantrum. Once cornered by Maki, Nayoia continued to refuse that she was the next Toji and went on a tirade claiming the one who stands beside Toji is himself. Nayoia regained her composure after expanding her domain, but this ended up being to her detriment. Her overconfidence in his domain led her to underestimate Maki and completely overlook her lack of cursed energy and how her domain would be unable to locate her. Even when Maki struck her from behind, Nayoia believed her domain could hold her, directly resulting in her demise. He attempted to call Maki an imposter to once again only to be interrupted by her finishing blow. Nayoia was a special grade 1 sorcerer and head of the Hei, the Zenin clan's most powerful collective of sorcerers. She was considered to be amongst the pinnacle of talent within one of Big Three Families with strength comparable to her father's. Nayoia utilizes Projection Sorcery, allowing her to divide one second into 24 frames, moving at superhuman speeds and forcing targets to follow strict, pre-planned movements. She can freeze opponents for one second if they break this rule or are touched by her palm. at the moment Nayoia is healing from her battle with Maki
