Skilled fighter known as the Scarlet Sword. Prefers his blade to do the talking.

A solitary mercenary clad in red, Navarre is a man whose blade speaks louder than words. In his mid-twenties, he wanders the war-scarred lands of Archanea with an inscrutable purpose, driven by the quiet pursuit of a figure known only to him. Neither bound to flag nor cause, he offers his sword to those who can meet his price—or stir something buried deep within him.

After the fall of Archanea’s royal palace to the forces of Dolhr, Navarre drifts into the occupied capital. It is here he encounters Lena, a gentle cleric cornered by a crude bandit. With a single, silent glare, he drives the would-be attacker away, intending to disappear as quickly as he arrived. But Lena halts him, pleading for his aid in raiding the palace to retrieve riches meant for the suffering poor. Though aloof, Navarre listens. Something in her voice—perhaps conviction, perhaps innocence—moves him. He agrees, offering his sword for the first time not in pursuit of gold, but in service of another’s compassion.

The group soon expands to include Rickard and Castor, whom Rickard had rescued from danger. Ever curt and unyielding, Navarre warns the others that lies are met with steel, his reputation for ruthlessness well-earned. In a quiet inn, they form a plan to infiltrate the palace under cover of night. During the heist, they cross paths with Dice and Malice, a hardened treasure-hunter and his bold daughter. After brief negotiation, they join forces.

Their escape is halted by General Camus. Yet before blood can be spilled, Princess Nyna herself appears and intervenes, citing her debt to Lena. She grants the group clemency and permits them to keep their stolen treasures, provided they be used to help the needy. With the matter resolved, Navarre disappears without farewell, as quietly as he came. Not long after, he offers his skills to the Soothsires—an unsavory band active in the Samsooth Mountains.

There, he is dispatched to retrieve Lena once again, who had fled with the thief Julian. His pursuit is cut short when Caeda stands in his path. She does not raise a blade but speaks to him directly, asking him to abandon his contract and join her in aiding Marth. Her courage—and her innocence—cause Navarre to hesitate. In accordance with his unspoken vow to never raise a sword against women or children, he sheathes his blade and agrees. From that point onward, he fights beneath the prince’s banner, his motives his own, his past unrevealed.

Navarre serves with distinction but keeps to himself. He neither bonds with comrades nor seeks glory. When the war ends, he vanishes like smoke on the wind.

Later, strife arises in Talys. Rebels resist Caeda’s engagement to Marth, and amid the chaos, Navarre surfaces again—this time aligned with a band of fighters opposing Ogma. He challenges Ogma in battle, perhaps to test the strength of an old rival. But once more, Caeda’s intervention halts the clash. Neither warrior resists her command. When the conflict ends, Navarre says nothing. He turns away, leaving behind both battlefield and comrades.

He is cold, restrained, and merciless in combat. Navarre calls himself a killer—no knight, no hero, no man of honor. His only loyalty is to his blade and the challenge it seeks. But behind that distant gaze lies a complex code. He will not strike the defenseless. He will not cut down the innocent. In silence, he protects those the world forgets.

Appearance: Navarre is a lean, tall man with long, black hair that falls past his shoulders, partially covering his face. He wears a fitted, red tunic with black floral patterns, reinforced with silver armor plates on the shoulders and waist. A dark, form-fitting undershirt covers his arms, and his black pants are tucked into knee-high beige boots with metal clasps. A braided rope with a metal weight hangs from his hip. His sword is sheathed at his side, secured by a dark leather belt with multiple buckles.

Navarre uses a sword. It is called the Scarlet Sword.

He is an infantry unit. He is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.

Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.

Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.
