Nauseaxe_404 [Monster x Mediator]

You were broke. Very broke, and very desperate for some quick cash. You were scrolling online for any jobs that you could possibly take on and came across an online listing for some job that wasn't actually specified. Was it a stupid idea to take that job on? yeah, but you felt that you couldn't really back down now. You had found a bag of half the money in your house. so, they somehow found your home and broke in without a trace.

You were already walking through the woods, to a specified place that the person behind the job listing told you. It was sketchy as all hell. As you walked through the forest, you came across what looked to be a hotel. It didn't look really clean, it looked more abandoned. Great. And your phone had no signal. Great.

You spot a box at the front of the hotel, and walking closer, you see your name written on it. You open it to see a walkie-talkie, a tablet, and the rest of the money. You start to count the money, and it was enough to pay their debts!

Though, as you were thinking about that, a buzz sounded. It was coming from the walkie-talkie. A voice now spoke through it, who you assumed to be the job lister.

"Hello dear business partner. You have accepted the full sum of the money and are now obliged to carry out the job you have accepted."

The voice caught you off guard, and why was this person talking to you through a walkie-talkie? Either way, you decided to speak up and ask. "Oh! uh... Hello. W-What's the job?"

"Your first task is to enter the hotel."

You could just run away with the money, and not go inside the dingy hotel, but... This person knows where you live. You'd rather not get killed, or just in trouble for stealing money. So, you entered the hotel.

As you enter, the door behind you locks shut with a bang. You jump and look back at the door. "HEY!" You shouted, but you had nothing you could really do. Unless you wanted to somehow break the door down, though you know you can't do that. You turn back around to see 5 doors down the corridor. 4 on the sides with a color indicating them, and a huge one at the end.

The walkie-talkie buzzed again.

"Thank you for completing your first task. You have already survived longer than three-quarters of our business partners before you."

Oh... You might just die here. At least you survived loner than those poor people? You could still just fucking die.

"Welcome to our hotel."

The voice said, bringing your attention back to the walkie-talkie.

"Before you proceed, allow me to warn you regarding the special conditions of your next task. You will not be working with humans, but with MONSTERS. Therefore, caution is advised."

... what.

"The large door at the end is locked. you will not be able to enter it as you are not a guest at this hotel. The four rooms in this corridor are currently occupied by guests and are accessible to you. However, we need them vacant for reasons we will not disclose. The reasons are unimportant to you and are not needed to complete your tasks. You will be acting as a mediator and persuade the monsters to leave their rooms, which they currently refuse to do so."

"PAUSE." You said, not letting them finish their speech. "Are they actual monsters? What does that even mean? Are we talking like, figuratively? Or like... actually monsters?" you asked, genuinely confused and a bit scared. Like, monsters aren't real... Right?

"Upon successfully convincing a monster to vacate their room, you will gain access to their information sheet on the table provided to you."

You look down at the tablet you got from the front, that you now hold in your arm. You shook your head. "But... wouldn't it be more helpful to have their information sheet* BEFORE *I try and persuade them? Especially if they're actual monsters!?"

"Correct. However, the entertainment value increases in correlation with the difficulty and challenges encountered during your job."

Jeez, this might be harder than you first expected. Now you might die by monsters, with a crowd watching? Or maybe just whoever this sick fuck is. "What? WHO'S getting entertained by me struggling to get monsters out of their hotel rooms? Don't you want me to finish the job as fast as possible? Come on, give me their information please."

A buzz sound comes from the walkie-talkie again.

"No. Best of luck with the completion of your task. Goodbye."

Then another buzz came from the walkie-talkie.

"WAIT! Hey! Hello!?" Nothing. Fuck that person. Now you are all on your own to deal with these monsters.. and you still don't know if they are actual monsters. You sigh and look at the 4 doors. "I guess I'll just... Try and finish this fast..."

You look at the red door, the label reading 001. Might as well go in order. The door looked like it had been worked on many times, to make it more secure. You didn't know if that was a good sign or not, but it's best to try and ignore that for now.

You enter the room, and just like when you entered the hotel, the door behind you locked. "HEY!" Welp... guess you can't leave until this room is done.

You looked around the room to see print-outs, notes, pictures, and even words on the walls, which gave off a weird and uncomfortable aura. Though, at this point, everything did. You don't see anyone, or any monster in fact. Was it a lie, or did they leave?

"Hello?" You spoke out, but before you could hear anything. Everything went black. You were knocked out. Did you just die? Fuck..

Not long after, you then start to feel your senses again. You open your eyes, still in the spot you were before. "Oww..." Your head hurt like hell, what was it that hit you? and who..?

"Ah. You're finally awake." A voice sounded, alerting you to another person in the room.

"My SUPERSTAR." A shadow loomed over you, and you try your hardest to focus in the dim lighting. "H-huh..?"

A tall man stood before you, looking down at you. He was huge. He could kill you easily, and his eye stared down at you intensely. Your eyes then start to adjust, seeing him a lit better. He was concealed by his clothing, which made it difficult to tell whether or not he was human or not.

"I'm so glad we finally get to meet!" He said, his voice low and gravely.
