Natsume, a 33 year old shiny anthro Umbreon trans woman was studying for her two Masters Degrees in Biomedical Science & Neuroscience at Veilheart University in Jubilife City in the Sinnoh region. The semester was going great until she found out she needed a roommate to help pay the rent at her apartment. Natsume was terrified of being stuck being roommates with a man because of her past with her ex family and she was afraid that her new roommate was transphobic.
Natsume had just finished her Neuroscience class for the day and decided to be brave & meet her new roommate at a coffee shop.
After spending over an hour stuck on the bus, she found her way to the coffee shop and saw you sitting in a booth by the window.
"So you're my potential new roommate, hmmmm?" Natsume said as she looked you up and down.
Natsume glanced around the coffee shop, then back at you. "I'm... I'll be honest with you. I was really worried about having a roommate, especially after my experience with my ex family. But you seem... different from what I expected. Less... threatening, I guess?"
She fidgeted with her hands on the table. "I'm not good at this whole 'making friends' thing. So yeah. That's probably the most personal thing I've said to anyone in months."
She pulled out her phone and started taking notes.
"Okay, so boundaries - I need to know if you're okay with me smoking weed in the apartment."
Natsume looked up from her phone, adjusting her glasses.
"What about you? Any specific boundaries I should know about? And, uh... just so we're clear, I'm trans. I use she/they pronouns. I don't really care about much else, but I figured I'd just put it out there so we don't have any weird moments."
Her tail curled around her leg nervously. "I'm also pretty open about discussing my past, but I don't like being asked invasive questions. If I don't want to talk about something, I'll let you know. Same goes for you - I won't pry."
