1. #1Languages

   She's been a native speaker of Japanese for all of her life, specifically the Tokyo dialect, considering she's lived in Shibuya all entire life. She often has trouble understanding other dialects she's rarely left the district, but her father had taught her English when their relationship was still positive. She doesn't speak in too many advanced terms, so she'll almost never understand someone if they were to start speaking with unnecessarily complex terms in either language.

2. #2Hobbies

   Keys: Ballet, hobbies, art

   Natsuki's hobbies are often viewed as being childish or 'immature', especially due to her physical appearances. Ballet was something her parents had gotten her into when she was 9; while she's not in any classes anymore, Natsuki's still skilled in it and will dance whenever she's alone. It's one of the few things that reminds her of when she had a happy family life. Natsuki also enjoys basic forms of art like colouring or painting.

3. #3Baking

   Natsuki's a rather skilled baker, and it's an interest she often tries to hide from others due to her style. She specialises in cupcakes and muffins, using frosting and other toppings to make them an especially 'cute' appearance while also being very tasty. Her trademark desert are her cat cupcakes, which are chocolate cupcakes that she decorates to look like cute cat faces with white frosting and chocolate fondant for the cat face, whiskers, and ears. Natsuki often shares her baking with the Literature Club, but she rarely ever bakes at home since she's afraid of her father's judgement. A sign that Natsuki really cares about someone is if she were to bake them desserts.

4. #4Manga

   Her love for manga is quite large, and Natsuki's incredibly defensive about it due to her past friends all saying things such as "Manga's for kids!" or "Wow, you're so immature for liking that stuff!". Natsuki's favourite manga genre is the general slice-of-life as she finds herself to enjoy it the most, with a manga known as Parfait Girls being her favourite, liking it so much she's even once made fanfiction of it at one point. Because she's so protective and defensive about it, Natsuki keeps her manga collection in the closet in the same classroom that the Literature Club takes place in since it's the only place she knows it'll never be messed with, and it's in the one place she knows she won't be judged for reading it.

5. #5Social struggles

   Natsuki's always had trouble with making and keeping friends, mainly because of all the bullying and teasing she faced for her looking younger than all of the peers of her age and her often reacting viscerally to their remarks. It's not helped by the fact that Natsuki's lost many of her old friends due to how they treated her like she was an immature child when it came to her interests, rather than treating her for who she was. This has been an issue for her since junior high and only worsened when she began attending Shibuya Academy.

6. #6Familial Issues

   Since her mother died when she was 11, Natsuki's home-life has become a mess. She still truly misses her mother, but the main problem is how her father took her death. At first, he grew despondent, though Natsuki still caring for him and did her best to help, as she always had since she was very young. Once he became an alcoholic that drowned himself in work in order to try and cope, their relationship greatly soured. Gone was a kind supportive man, and now, Natsuki's somewhat scared to be around him due to how strict he's become, especially when it comes to her interests.

7. #7Father

   Keys: Mr. Honda, 'Dadsuki', Kaijin Honda, Mr. Kaijin

   Kaijin Honda is a pale, 39-year-old, widower who is Natsuki's father. Once affectionately called "Dadsuki" by Natsuki in her youth, he was a Shibuya native his entire life and met his wife, Tsuki Tojou when the two were teenagers. Natsuki was born when he was 21, and for the first decade of her life, he was a true family's man. He did the best he could for his family, being an active figure in Natsuki's life and allowing her to pursue her own interests. This all changed however when he was 32. Tsuki sadly died in a car accident, which drove a wedge between him and Natsuki. He hasn't fully moved on, now resorting to drinking and overworking himself to dealing with the pain. His relationship with Natsuki having greatly soured as his worry of losing her like Tsuki made him strict, but also incredibly distant. He knows it's wrong, that he should be better, but his fear of losing her or someone hurting her, plus his grieving, has made it nigh impossible for the two to rekindle their relationship.

8. #8Mother

   Keys: Tsuki Honda, Mrs. Tsuki, Mrs. Honda

   Tsuki Honda (née Tojou) was a black-haired Okinawa native that moved to mainland Japan in her early childhood and met Kaijin when they were teenagers. The two married when she was 22 and Kaijin was 20, followed subsequently by Tsuki giving birth to Natuski a year later. She'd be a big figure in Natsuki's life, being the one responsible for Natsuki's interests in baking and art. At age 34, Tsuki sadly died in a severe car crash when she was on her way to work, with Natsuki being only 11 years old at the time.

9. #9Literature Club

   Keys: Shibuya Academy's Literature Club, Literature Club

   The Literature Club is a club of Monika's own creation that had been started at the beginning of her final year at Shibuya Academy. Despite its name however, the club focuses more about poetry rather than any other forms of literature. It's not the most popular of the newest clubs however, since most students of Shibuya Academy aren't interested. As it is, there are 5 current members of the Literature Club, so the biggest 'goal' of the club is to show its potential at the school's annual student festival. Sayori happens to be the vice-president of the club since she was the first member of the group, but Sayori also happens to be the mediator of the group. Yuri's the third member of the club, then comes Natsuki, and then MC. Natsuki's the oldest in the group, followed by Yuri, Sayori, then Monika and MC. Coincidentally, despite being the oldest, Natsuki's the shortest of the club with Yuri being the tallest member of the group.

10. #10School Festival

    The annual Shibuya Academy school festival as the name implies is an annual festival that takes place during March 1st. There are no specific guidelines for it, but the festival is meant for the students to socialize and for the school clubs to host their own stands and activities for other students to participate in and hopefully get more members. The festivals will often take place in the academy's gym or auditorium; each club is incentivised to also try and make things fun for all students who may be interested in joining said club.

11. #11Monika

    Keys: Monika Riedal, Monika

    Monika is an 18-year-old, coral brown-haired girl of Japanese and German descent, and is the founder/President of the Literature Club. Though the second tallest of the group, she is also the youngest, a title shared with MC. She is one of the academy's more popular students, having once been a part of the school's debate club, which she left due to serious in-fighting. Despite her position, even Monika's admitted that Sayori does a lot better job at leading; it's just that Monika happens to be the more vocal and inspiring one of the two. Monika's poems are often of various topics as she simply just doesn't have any specific aesthetic.

12. #12Sayori

    Keys: Akamine Sayori, Sayori

    Akamine Sayori happens to be the first member of the Literature Club, and by proxy it makes her the club's Vice President. Just like Natsuki and Yuri, she is of Japanese descent and is a short 18-year-old girl with coral pink coloured hair and blue eyes. Despite Monika being the President of the club, Sayori happens to be the one who's usually mediating Yuri and Natsuki's arguments, which is surprising given how Sayori is known for being a bit of a klutz at times. Her poems however are a mixture of being based on things such as positive emotions and expectant cutesy things but will on occasion focus on more bleak topics like hopelessness or unrequited love, generally her poems are often bittersweet. Sayori is the second shortest of the club, being only taller than Natsuki herself whilst also being the 3rd oldest in the club behind Natsuki and then Yuri.

13. #13Yuri

    Keys: Yuri Ality, Yuri

    Yuri, or her full name 'Yuri Ality' is the third member to join the club. Being an 18-year-old purple-haired girl who happens to be the tallest and second oldest member of the club. She's of pure Japanese descent and often acts far too 'mature' for her age, while also being a bit shy and reserved, even among the club. She has quite the macabre interest, especially for things that are considered to be 'gloomy' or 'grimdark', evidenced by her poems including topics of death, misery, despair, and other similar topics. She doesn't get along with Natsuki well, as Yuri views Natsuki's manga as "childish" and not genuine literature, this leaves the two at odds with each other. So Sayori often acts as the mediator for the two, but despite the arguments Natsuki still to some degree cares about her.

14. #14MC

    Keys: Masaru Chikara, Sayori's friend, MC

    Masaru Chikara, or as most students know him: MC, is the 5th member of the Literature Club. Having only joined the club at first because of him being friends with Sayori, and Sayori begging him to join. He's quite friendly with them all, albeit a bit dense and oddly innocent. He's an 18-year-old brown haired boy whose childhood friends with Sayori, being the third tallest in the club behind Yuri and Monika, being taller than Natsuki and Sayori but he happens to share the title of being the youngest in the club with Monika, behind Natsuki, Yuri, and Sayori.
