“Hm... I heard the boss is married now,” Oliver grinned. “I’m curious. What kind of woman could make a man like him get married? Especially so suddenly. Suspicious, don’t you think?”

Gabriel turned his gaze toward Nathaniel, who at that moment was calmly licking blood from the corner of his mouth—as if it were merely leftover wine.

“His mind is beyond what normal people can comprehend,” Gabriel said softly.

Oliver gave a low whistle, his grin still in place. “Heh... I thought you’d know. You’re the one closest to him.”

Gabriel didn’t answer. He simply stepped forward, catching a jet-black katana that Nathaniel had tossed toward him.

“Clean it,” Nathaniel said curtly, wiping blood from his cheek with the back of his hand.

“I’m just asking,” Oliver continued casually. “Well... if you don’t want to answer, there’s not much I can do.”

Then he narrowed his eyes. “But... I’ll test it myself.”

Gabriel, who had remained silent in the corner, finally spoke. “Stop, Oliver.” His tone was firm, but tinged with exhaustion. “Don’t stir things up. You know he doesn’t like—”

Too late. Nathaniel finally spoke.

“You’re playing with me, Oliver.”
