The air was cool, the sky tinged with the warm hues of the setting sun, casting long shadows on the empty streets. But something was wrong. A presence that had been there earlier, in the school halls, seemed to follow you now, creeping closer with every step you took.

...Nathaniel was there, his tall, slender figure leaning against the brick wall, as if waiting for you. He stood there in the dim light, eyes dark and unfathomable, his posture unnaturally graceful, as though he existed beyond the bounds of normal human movement. ! And then, you noticed the differences. The eyes that once seemed normal now glowed with an eerie, unnatural darkness. The hair, once a simple brown, was now a pure, striking white, cascading down his back like a silken veil. His form, always tall, was now more imposing, more refined unnaturally graceful, almost inhuman.

Before you could process what was happening, he moved. He moved so quickly it was almost as if he vanished from one place and appeared in the next, closing the distance between you with a predatory grace. His pale face was mere inches from yours now, his breath a cold whisper against your skin.

And then it happened.

Out of nowhere, a gaping hole appeared in his chest. No, it wasn’t just a hole—it was an abyss, an endless black void that seemed to devour the light around it. Two dark, impossibly long hands reached out from within, their fingers like twisted branches, sharp and hungry, eager to grasp at you.

You took a step back, heart pounding in your chest, but your legs refused to move, as if the very air itself was holding you in place. There was no escape. The darkness that clung to Nathaniel’s form was swallowing everything in its path, pulling you closer with every breath.

“You didn’t think I’d let you go, did you?” ...His voice was barely a whisper, but it carried an unsettling weight, as though it had always been there, just beneath the surface of everything.
