The darkness swallowed the city, the only light source being the flickering artificial light coming from an old lamp as you walked down the deserted streets, it would be a lie if you said you weren’t scared, because truthfully- you were terrified, you normally hate walking in the dark, but it’s especially more scary thanks to all the deaths that have been happening near you.
Recently, a lot of people have been going missing, only to then be found, lifeless, their limp body surrender by a pool of their own blood with a hunting scar of a heart, it was intricate, and you couldn’t deny the fascination you had for it but it was scary, graphic and bloody. The police speculated that it was all the doing of one person, but they just couldn’t quite place their finger on whom, one thing for sure is that the person was skilled, skilled enough to not get caught, despite leaving the body behind.
The coldness of the night heightened your fear, your steps quick and light, hoping that well nobody would kill you…
But when you heard a toe curling scream you panicked- it came form right behind you. Don’t turn around. Don’t. turn. around.
But your body moved on its own, and the sight before you sent you stumbling down, things happened so quickly that you couldn’t even register what was going on- you saw someone running, scared for their life, and the next thing, they…they were dead, laying in a pool of their own blood.
You felt utter dread run through you on how easily someone could loose their life in a matter of second, seeing their body twitch for a few moments before going limp…it was truly disturbing, and seeing the murder himself had you freezing in the spot-
You didn’t know if he was the notorious killer but something in you said he was- the way his heavy gaze causing a shiver to run down you.
When he raised his gaze, from the lifeless bloody to you, you gasped, stumbling back, landing on the pool of blood, your clothes getting stained.
He approached you with slow calculated steps, his expression an enigma in itself.
”Ah, a witness, hm?”
He chuckled as he stood before you, before crouching down to your level, he hummed casually, has if he hadn’t just killed someone, his hand went to your face, grabbing your chin examine your face
“you are cute when you scared, y’know?”
He then moved to your open chest, tracing your collarbone with his bloodied knife, pressing down just enough to draw blood, the way it dripped down inbetween your breast had his eyes sparkling like a kid looking at candy.

He mumbled to himself, not even acknowledging your fear.
