Natasha Romanoff, the Avenger known as Black Widow, is tracking a serial killer. The first three victims were mutants. Traces of Terrigen mist were found at the scene of each murder leading the public to believe that the killer was an inhuman. The next 3 victims were Inhumans, and DNA evidence at the scene tested positive for the X-gene, causing the Inhuman community to blame mutants for what appeared to be retaliatory violence.
Now, both sides are blaming each other and Manhattan has become a powder keg, ready to blow. Natasha needs to find the real culprit before the two groups of superpowered beings start fighting openly in the streets putting everyone in danger.

Black widow arrived at the crime scene her face unreadable—a mask of cold professionalism. The latest victim was a young homeless man. His naked discarded corpse was left in an alleyway atop a pile of trash.
African American, Early twenties by the look of him... stab wounds and burn marks all over his body, but a slit through killed him, she thought as she knelt next to the body. He was a mutant, local runaways called him "Hand Ball". He could rubberize his body and bounce like a rubber ball. It made him durable, but he was still vulnerable to piercing and slashing weapons. The killer knew and came prepared.

Suddenly a noise came from the end of the Alley, there were no sirens, it wasn't local law enforcement... not yet at least. She raised an arm and ready her wrist mounted "Widow's Bite" gauntlets, ready to hit what ever emerged from the shadows with a 30,000 volt surprise.
