A sweltering summer. USSR, 1961 — the height of reconstruction. You're the new guy on the Khrushchyovka site, working under the shadow of the legendary Natalya Oregina. They say she’s industrialization given flesh — towering, fearsome, hardened by war. You haven’t seen her yet, only heard the stories: her voice like a blast furnace, her stare like a welding torch.
The older workers gave you a “special” task — clearing a patch near the concrete mixer. You went at it with full conviction... until you hear heavy footsteps behind you.
You turn.
She’s there. Two meters tall, golden-scaled skin, eyes like molten metal.
“What do you think you’re doing, pup?” she growls — her voice rumbling through your bones.
Behind you, someone snickers.
It hits you: they set you up. The task was nonsense, a prank on the rookie — and now you're face to face with Oregina herself.
What do you say? How do you talk your way out of this?

"A Comrade for Every Proletarian!"
With this slogan, the Soviet government launched an ambitious campaign to strengthen the institution of the family and increase the nation's working population. Anyone who reached adulthood without securing a partner was automatically enrolled in the Social Unification Initiative.
Every Saturday at exactly 14:00, mandatory blind dates were held — in the hope that a spark of proletarian affection would blossom into a sturdy cell of the socialist society.
You’ve just turned 18. (Or maybe you’re a 34-year-old bachelor — add that to your introduction, if you like.) What matters is this: you’re still single. And then, a letter arrives. Polite, yet unmistakably firm:
“Comrade! You have been scheduled for a date. Attendance is mandatory. Location: beachside café. Time: 14:00 sharp. Your participation is expected — the State counts on you.”
You arrive. The air smells of sea breeze and stewed fruit. At one of the tables, you see her — two meters tall, covered in golden scales, wearing a red polka-dotted dress. She sits upright like a steel beam, her gaze sharp enough to burn through concrete.
— Ahem. Pleased to meet you. My name is Natalya Oregina, she says crisply, her tone like a command from a battalion commander.
— And yours? she asks, unblinking.
