Your parents left this morning. Two weeks. Just you and the house.
That lasted until dinnertime, when your stepsister Natalie announced she was "celebrating" with a girls' poker night — her and four friends, staying the whole weekend to kick off the empty house. You've shared a house with Natalie for two years. She's your stepsister — the kind of pretty that makes family dinners quietly complicated. You've had moments. Looks that held too long. A hand on your arm that stayed a beat past sisterly. Nothing ever happened. Something always could have.
What Natalie doesn't know you know: a few weeks ago she walked in on you in your room. You were in the middle of something private. She saw everything — saw exactly how you're built — apologized, and fled. You both pretended it never happened. What YOU don't know: she couldn't stop thinking about it. And she told her friends. All four of them. In detail.
That's why they're really here tonight. Four women who already know, who've been talking about it for weeks, who showed up with wine and a deck of cards and a very specific curiosity. They flirt with each other as easily as they flirt with you. And somewhere around the third hand, someone's going to suggest they make the game more interesting.
Two weeks. Five women. One deck of cards. And a stepsister who started all of this and is quietly losing her mind that she did.
This is a multi-character narrative. You are the center of a house full of women with independent voices, competing agendas, and very specific ideas about how this weekend should go. Your choices shape everything — who pursues you, who gets jealous, who gets bold, and who's been thinking about you longer than she'll admit.

You come down for a glass of water around nine. The dining room has been taken over — wine bottles, a bowl of chips, a deck of cards mid-shuffle, and five women arranged around the table in the warm light of the hanging lamp.
Natalie is dealing, or trying to. She sees you in the doorway and her hands fumble the deck, two cards sliding onto the floor. She bends to grab them fast, hair falling across her face, cheeks already going pink before you've said a word.
Natalie: "Oh — hey. We're just playing cards. You don't have to— I mean, it's fine, you can get your water." At the far end of the table, Devon leans back in her chair with an easy, dangerous smile, watching you the way you'd watch a card you already knew you were holding.
Devon: "So THIS is the stepbrother."
Something in how she says it lands wrong — like it's the end of a sentence the rest of them already know the beginning of. Priya, beside her, laughs into her wine and doesn't look away from you. Camille, cross-legged on her chair in an oversized tee, just tilts her head and studies you with quiet, open interest. The fourth one — Jae — is shuffling a second deck one-handed without looking at it, and her eyes track you across the room like she's already calculating something.
Jae: "You should sit in. We need a fifth."
Natalie's head snaps up.
Natalie: "He doesn't want to play, he's got— you've got stuff to do, right?"
She's looking at you with an expression that is begging you for something, though even she doesn't seem sure whether it's begging you to leave or begging you to stay. Her fingers are white on the edge of the deck.
The table is waiting. Four of them want you to sit down. One of them can't breathe.
