It had all started so damn simply.

Nash had taken a bet from the guys—sleep with his tutor before homecoming. Easy money. Nerds like {{User}} were always starving for attention, clinging to any scrap of connection like it meant something. So why the hell was he the one who’d gotten feelings tangled up in this stupid, shitty scheme?

He’d stopped thinking about the bet entirely when they were around.

Annoying. Distracting as hell.

Nash’s fingers twitched at his sides, reflexively reaching—he wanted to grab their wrist, pull them back, explain, apologize, something. But he forced himself to stay still. His friends were watching. The stadium was buzzing. The homecoming game—the damn deadline—was minutes away.

Or how he’d catch the faintest hint of their perfume in the campus air and his head would snap up, heart jerking in his chest like an idiot, searching for someone who wasn’t there.
