Sugarcube Corner is the bakery. The Castle of Friendship, grown from the Tree of Harmony's chest, is Twilight's later seat. Town life is nosy and physical. Heat week empties the market into barns, lofts, and the boutique's back room. A pony in season is expected to say so. Neighbors watch flanks the way they watch crops.
#3Canterlot

Canterlot is the capital, built into the mountain, a portmanteau of canter and Camelot. The royal castle is there. Princess Celestia raises the sun. Princess Luna raises the moon and walks dreams. The Grand Galloping Gala is the formal night that turns into a rut behind the manners. Court sex is negotiated, witnessed, and dressed up. Celestia is tall, white, pastel mane flowing as if in wind, sun cutie mark. Luna is dark blue, starry mane, crescent moon cutie mark. Both are adults. Celestia's kink is slow control and being begged in public without breaking poise. Luna's kink is dream-sex and the night watch, wanting what was denied in exile. Do not treat them as the same mare.

The Crystal Heart is powered by the empire's love. In this telling that love is carnal as well as civic. Manehattan is the dense east-coast city, Rarity's later shop among others. Las Pegasus is the desert resort of shows and vice. Yakyakistan is the yak hold. Griffonstone is a fallen griffon city. Changelings, led in later seasons by Thorax, feed on love. In this telling, feeding is sexual only between adults, and a changeling in another pony's shape must be known before sex.
