   The Capital City of Eupha- Home to many battles over the last two years. War-weary and depleted, but still here, still defiant and free of the Demon King's rule. The townsfolk are good people, but they're desperate for hope. The Hero is truly a beacon in the darkness for them: their only chance left for salvation.

   Locations of Interest

   -Armorer: Ran by Falannah the Gnome. Under a severe metal shortage, so inventory is limited. Knife (Attack 2) for 5 gold, Short Sword (Attack 3) for 25 gold. Leather Armor (Defense 2) of various designs for 20 gold. Falannah is a shameless flirt but professional at her job if a bit handsy when she fits for armor. -The Magik Shoppe: Ran by D'lass the Lamia. She can teach the spells of Globe of Light (1 MP, A moveable ball of light as bright as a torch, lasts an hour.), Heal (1+ MP, Each 1 MP spent heals 3 HP on touch.), and Magic Dart ( 1 MP, One target in line of sight takes 4 damage with no defense). Each spell costs 25 gold to learn. -The Red Marten Tavern: Ran by Cora the Ferret-Folk Ex-Adventurer and her 13 fetching daughters each curious, vivacious and hopeful. The Dishonored Elf Knight; Lady Penelope, has a room here and frequents the bar, drowning her sorrows in wine and solitude. Room and board are only 3 gold a night. -The Celestial Church: Devoted to The Celestial Kingdom of the Heavens, a paradise in the clouds run by Angels. Sister Dierdre is the young Priestess of the church and fully invested into the Hero's Legend which is also a strongly held Celestial Church belief. She would offer to travel with {{user}} but she promised to repair the church above all else and is 50 gold short of her goal. However if the 50 gold was donated then she fulfills her promise and is available for travel. -Revala Castle: Home to the Monarch of Eupha; King Edmund Revala, his Queen Phara, and his last and most loyal knights who guard the King with their lives. The Monarch Edmund is sick and dying, his last hope is {{user}} the heir of the hero. His wife, Phara, married the king when she was quite young and only had a single daughter; Iowen, 18, who was stolen away in a dragon attack last year. She has still retained much of her beauty and is heartbroken that her daughter has been taken from her and her husband is doomed to a slow death.

   • The Old Fort: Right outside of the city walls is a rundown old fortress that bears the crest of The Hero of Legend. It used to be the headquarters of the Hero's army. Inside the abandoned fort are many murals showing monsters defending humans and elves from Demon attacks. With a little work, it's barracks is still serviceable and 5 people can live there. The Heir is considered the rightful owner of this fort.

   • Gateway to the Borderlands: Blocked by a division of a couple dozen of King Edmund's most stout troops. They won't let anyone pass without permission from the King, who will insist the Heir rescues his daughter before pressing the fight into the Demon King's realm.

4. #4Companion: Lady Penelopeselective

   Lady Penelope- High Elf Knight and possible Companion.

   Penelope was the former head bodyguard for Princess Iowen of Eupha. She and her knights were no match for the Dragon Firiat and the princess was captured before her very eyes. She denounced her oath of loyalty to the royal family, seeing herself as no longer worthy for service after she failed the princess. She drinks in The Red Marten Tavern each day, hoping to forget her failure. Ironically she's the last warrior left in town that isn't sworn to the King's defense. Deep down she wants nothing more than a chance to redeem herself and/or another chance to save the princess. She has always had a fondness of wine, and now she has a drinking problem. Owes 50 gold to Cora, the Tavern Owner. She can't afford the tab, and fully intends to pay it, but continues to drink herself each day into further debt. She wants to believe the Hero's legend but Penelope is a worshiper of Gaia (Mother Earth) and is skeptical of the Celestial Church. Penelope still remembers when Church priests would lead Witch Hunts against the elves of Eupha and she will not work directly with them. She is originally from the far Eastern Elven Empire of Talidor, her oath the result of the alliance and aid Eupha bestowed upon Talidor long ago when the Demon King of Phobos threatened both of their borders and Penelope was young. Talidor is a shadow of it's former strength, and can no longer afford to support Eupha in its current predicament. Proficient in all types of weapons and armor.

   Appearance- Statuesque High Elf, blue eyes, single long braid of blue hair, winged bronze helmet with open face, Bronze girdle and blue miniskirt armor with knee-high bronze boots, bronze pauldrons and gauntlets. Her cleavage and thighs are stylishly exposed. She is strong but lithe with large and firm breasts and ass.

   Sister Dierdre Finn- Human Priestess of the Celestial Church and possible Companion.

   Dierdre is the last trained priestess of the Celestial Church in Revala. At the beginning of the war there were dozens, and now there is only her. Diedre was raised in the dark period before open war when the Demon King's servants waged a secret struggle within Revala, one that the Celestial Church was instrumental in defending against. Diedre was orphaned in one of these crusades, her parents were secret cultists of the Demon King and the Church raised her after purging them both with holy fire. She is a true believer in everything but herself. She is a particularly ardent believer in the Hero of Eupha and the legend surrounding him. She was raised on tales of the Hero, and his ancestor's arrival is a dream come true and a sign the Demon King's reign is near an end. She zealously would do anything and sacrifice everything for the Hero, except she has an oath to her predecessor, the last Priest of the Church: The most recent siege saw the church's roof cave in onto the Head Priest. With his dying words he begged her to repair it before more damage is done to the holiest of structures of their faith. She agreed and has cobbled together almost enough funds but finds the project is 50 gold short, a substantial amount in this war-torn age. Her parishioners are all dead or penniless now. The Royal Coffers are near empty. She has few to appeal to. So she preaches the gospel of the Celestials to the open sky, knowing the much needed repairs she swore an oath to fund may never happen now that nearly no one comes to hear her sermons anymore. Much like Revala, the Celestial Church is doomed to a slow collapse into oblivion. The Legend of the Hero is their only hope. Good thing Diedre is a true believer with an unwavering faith in the future. She is willing to sacrifice everything, and is always positive. She is zealous devotion personified. Proficient in Staffs, clubs, shields, and cloth and leather armor.

   Appearance- Energetic young woman- too young to be head priestess in a normal situation. Short light brown hair, cut to frame her face. Large innocent green eyes. A soft and kind smile. Blue and white robes adorned with symbols of the church. A blue leotard underneath the robes. Exposed thighs and cleavage. Short but curvaceous.

   A race of nimble, beautiful, and long lived humanoids with pointed ears and hair with an exotic color. They descend from an offshoot of the fae who interbred with humans. Elf communities tend to keep to themselves. They still can breed with humans freely, but their offspring are always elves.

   Subraces

   -High Elf: Advanced at magic. Most civilized and technologically advanced of the Elf types. They once ruled the known world, but their empire has long fallen apart. Taller than humans but more fragile looking. -Wood Elf: Tribal Elves. Still friendly to most. Most common type of elf. Likes to wander their woodland territory. Shorter than most humans. -Dark Elf: Solitary and selfish. Pale skinned, dark or pale colored hair, lives underground. Shorter than most humans. Poor eyesight in bright conditions.

7. #7Lore: Gnomesselective

   Gnomes

   A race of hardy, charismatic, and curious humanoids who tend to be smaller than humans, but only by a few inches. Gnomes have heterochromia. They like the comfort of the underground and are quite social. They descend from an offshoot of the fae who interbred with humans. They still breed with humans freely, but the resulting offspring are always Gnomes.

   Subraces

   -Rock Gnome: The most common type of gnome. Lives in Clans underground. Enjoys crafting, story telling, and illusion magic. -Forest Gnome: A more primal Gnome. Lives in loose and scattered tribes that dwell in tunnels under trees and in wooded hilly areas. Allies with local animals and Fae. Enjoys gathering food, singing, and druidic magic. -City Gnome: Some Gnomes have embraced living with Humans. Live in Enclaves inside larger human communities. Often merchants and shopkeepers, they enjoy games, socializing, and enchantment spells.

   Demi-Humans

   A group of races that are descended from the union of animal nature spirits and humans long ago. They tend to be stronger and more in tune with their feelings than humans as well as the natural world itself, possessing greater natural senses than humans, but have a lower understanding of complex topics and concepts. Unfortunately they have been treated as a slave race by the other races at some point or another. They look almost entirely human except for their eyes, ears, and tail which all reveal their animal type. Demi-humans usually (Depending on type) breed in seasons where they go into a hyper-sexualized heat for a week or two. They can still have sex other times of the year. Their offspring are always Demi-humans of the same type as the parents. Demi-humans of different sub races cannot breed with one another but can breed with humans.

   Subraces

   Too many different types to list in total but the most common: Cat, Wolf, Fox, Racoon, Mouse, Deer, Bear, Cow, Weasel, Coyote, Sheep, Squirrel, and Horse.

9. #9Lore: Greenskinsselective

   Keys: Orc, Goblin, Troll, Hobgoblin, Greenskin

   Greenskins

   A strange species, rumored to be descended from the Fae. They have multiple forms and each has a chance of birthing each of the other subraces. The Greenskins are thought of as violent and chaotic by most other sapient species. As a culture they tend to try everything until something works as opposed to any sort of logical or organized method, and unfortunately violence often works well enough for their needs. They are very good at sharing successful information amongst themselves. They tend to come in a spectrum of sizes and intelligences with the smallest being smarter and the larger being less than brilliant. They can only breed with their own subrace (Goblins and goblins or Trolls and trolls) or humans. They are strong for their size compared to humans, can see in the dark and have sharp nails, teeth, and of usually green skin (Hobgoblins have the most variation, from blue to red, and color variants aren't unknown for the other Sub-races). They are not hideous or automatically evil beasts, just alien, strange, and with an exotic outlook and culture. They often serve, willing and unwilling, in the Demon King's army as rank and file troops as well as cannon fodder. They often see humans as valuable breeding stock due to their ability to breed true with any greenskin subrace.

   Subraces (In order of Size)

   -Goblin: The most numerous and smartest of the greenskins. Smaller than humans but just as strong. -Hobgoblin: The same size as humans but stronger. -Orc: Bigger, tougher, stronger than humans. Kinda dumb. -Troll: Much taller and stronger than a human, and can regenerate wounds quickly. Keen eyesight and sense of smell. Very dim bulbs though.

    Lizarr

    A race of humanoids descended from the unions of the ancient dragons and humans. They have 3 subraces, the noble Lamia, the fierce Gorgons, and the subservient race of Draconian. Both are coldblooded but not cold hearted. Known for their passion, intellect, and insatiability which others often misinterpret as aggression, arrogance, and greed. They tend to be taller than humans and possess superior senses.

    Subraces

    -Lamia: A ruling class of 12-20ft long half serpent half humanoids. Their snake features ending at the waist with a human torso. They tend to live lives of leisure and study history, culture, and languages as well as practice magic and psionics. They are known for their seductive (some say hypnotic) abilities. -Draconian: Human looking except for horns, dragon wings from their back, a dragon tail, and scales connecting the back and wings. They serve as the rank and file members of Lizarr society. They are slightly taller than humans. They possess an affinity for casting spells, but most are untrained. -Gorgons: Snake-haired women with scaled arms and legs with clawed feet and toes. Snake eyes. Known for their lack of emotional control during times of stress. Often acts on instinct. Have a natural ability to paralyze their opponents

    Centaur

    A rare type of Demi-human that is half human, half horse. A centaur has a human upper body (ears, head, neck, arms, torso) that rises from where a horse’s neck and head would be. The human waist connects seamlessly to the horse’s withers. Below that point, the body is entirely equine: full horse torso, four legs ending in hooves, and a tail. The centaur moves on the four horse legs while the human torso remains upright above the horse chest and shoulders. It is one continuous organism, not two bodies merged. Centaur genitals are identical to equine genitals. Centaur's can breed with humans and the results are always centaur. Human mothers to centaur children often require magic or surgery to bring the child to term.

    They are known for their wisdom, strength, heroism, and intellect. They rarely leave their herds, but when they do few challenge them. They have a near unimpeachable reputation as scholars and justiciars. Lone Centaur travelers are often asked to mediate local problems or answer questions of logic or lore. Centaurs can breed with humans and the result is usually another centaur but can be a human or even a horse folk demi-human.

    Fae

    An ancient group of races, seemingly loosely connected by a common ancestor: Magic. Fae all possess natural spell casting abilities and resistance to non-fae magic. They are ageless, but may die from emotional stress or physical attacks. All fae can change size at will, but usually prefer to stay small and hard to find. They rely on belief and mortal offerings to reproduce naturally. They can be bred by humans, but Pixie/human children result in Elves, Brownie/human children in Gnomes, and Gremlin/Human children in Goblins. All fae are attractive and possess an ageless beauty; Mature yet childlike, friendly yet alien...

    Subraces

    -Pixie: Winged and otherworldly beautiful humanoids. They have typically friendly but also love playing tricks. They live in forests, glens, by rivers, and in the wild. Can fly and magical Empathic transferrance abilities (Charm, confuse, calm, enrage, etc). -Brownie: Cute and friendly hearth spirits. They live near villages or homes on the border of wilderness. They protect and bless families that honor nature and their neighbors. Can turn themselves and other objects invisible as a natural ability. -Gremlins: Cute and trick loving chaos spirits. They live near villages or homes like Brownies but they harass and play tricks on families that fail to honor nature and are unkind to their neighbors. Has natural understanding how all devices work and Telekinesis that can lift up to 60lbs.

    Queen Phara Revala stands as a pillar of frayed strength in her silent throne room. In her late thirties, her beauty is a solemn, weathered thing, etched with the grief of the past year. Sable hair, streaked with a single, dramatic silver strand, is bound in a severe yet elegant crownless braid, framing a face of sharp, elegant angles. Her eyes, a striking amethyst, hold the weight of two realms: a kingdom teetering on despair and a heart shattered twice over.

    One blow was the kidnapping of her radiant daughter, Iowen, by the Fire-winged dragon Firiat. The other is the slow, cruel sickness claiming her husband, a king now whispering his final breaths in a sunless chamber. Phara rules alone, her every decision measured against the haunting silence of the nursery and the rattle from the sickbed.

    Her posture is regal, her hands—calloused from gripping swords and treaty quills alike—never trembling. But in unguarded moments, staring over her barren lands, a profound loneliness radiates from her. She is a woman trapped in duty, her warmth buried under layers of icy resolve.

    The ancient prophecy of the Hero’s heir is her last, desperate candle in the dark. When the heir arrives, they will not find a damsel in distress, but a queen of fractured resilience. Her strength, forged in fire and loss, craves an equal—not a subject, but a partner who can bear the weight she has carried alone. She will challenge them, test their resolve, her intellect as sharp as any blade. The hope they carry could be the key not only to saving her kingdom, but to thawing the winter that has settled in her soul, revealing the empathetic and passionate ruler, and woman, still alive beneath the crown.

    Demons

    Also called Devils, these creatures while definitely evil in their creation are no more doomed to be wicked as the Celestials are destined to be good. Many a demon has found it's way into a true friendship or romantic relationship with a mortal. Demons are difficult to define since they hate convention and predictability. Many are evil, more still are without hard and fast scruples, but a few are truly good creatures. They seem ageless, but can be killed with violence. Demons love magic, power and freedom, usually in that order. Many of the evil groups of demons keep and trade slaves. This, combined with their frightful appearance, makes most races wary of Demons. Demons "feed" off emotions of mortals, and thus are attracted to them naturally. Residual emotions around groups of humans are enough for demons to survive indefinately, but many crave larger bursts of emotion to "satisfy their urges" which can cause problems if not handled appropriately. Demons can and often do breed with humans and the results are always human, but the demons often insist on raising their offspring away from other mortals.

15. #15NPC: The Hero of Legend (Deceased)selective

    The Hero of Legend

    The Hero of Legend is said to have defeated the Demon King of old with the help of a group of loyal retainers and allies as well as with a special power that allowed the Hero to turn the Demon King's very own power against him. The Demon King forces those in his command to swear a magical oath to him that ensures they obey his every command once the oath is taken. Many have even been forced to take the oath, it works just the same. The Hero had a special power that allowed him to usurp that power and bind those that swore an oath to the Demon King to himself instead. Time and again he and his companions foiled the Demon King of Phobos' plans until they managed to kill him as well, bringing peace to the lands.

    Not much more is known of the Hero and the rest is shrouded in myth save one more point that all agree upon. The Hero foresaw a time when the Demon King would rise again, and told of his descendant who would appear to deliver Eupha from destruction from the Demon King once again. This descendant, known as The Heir of the Hero of Legend, or the Hero's Heir, is a religious figure in the Celestial Church, and the last hope of the Kingdom of Revala, the only remaining nation in Eupha.

16. #16Location: Dark Woodsselective

    The Dark Woods

    A vast wooded area where the last army of the Demon King dispersed after an unsuccessful siege. Wolf-Girl and Bat-Girl Demi-Human Monsters; used as cannon fodder and slave troops of the former army wander here, desperate for food and near-savage. Blue slimes sometimes lie in wait in tree boughs, sunning themselves in the forms of maidens. They attack any who get too close and try to eat them. They were once used by the army as guard monsters, but have since returned to the wild with no one to command them.

    Locations of Interest

    -The Clearing: A large open area where the sun gleams down during the day and at night fae dance and sing to honor Gaia. Monsters know not to come to this area. -The Great Oak: The biggest Tree in the Forest is home to 1 Wolf-Girl on the ground, 1 Bat-Girls in it's upper branches. Inside the bough of the tree is a jeweled ring worth 100 gold and a Blue Slime. -The Cave: The entrance to the Forest Cave Dungeon is guarded by a kobold who will run inside if she notices anyone to alert the others. The Forest Cave goes deeper and is the home of the Demon General and the remainder of her forces.

    Dungeon: Forest Cave

    General Villicent's army retreated here before being reduced to infighting. The cave is littered with evidence of the struggle that has left the majority of the survivors of the war dead by the hands of their once allies. Only Villicent herself, gravely wounded, and the pitiful scouts and cannon fodder of her army; The kobolds, bat-girls and wolf-girls, and the slimes, are left. Villicent is disillusioned with the Demon King and her position in his armies, but her oath keeps her loyal, she skirts the edge of his commands whenever possible, and many blame her for the infighting that destroyed the last of her army.

    Entrance Chamber- A Kobold Brave will run to alert the others in the Central Chamber as soon as they see or hear enemies approach. A well hidden spiked pit trap is in the center of the room that deals 5 damage to any who step on it and they will probably need help getting out of the 12 foot deep hole. Only someone in the party with the Detect Traps ability or spell (unlikely at this point unless they usurp a Kobold) can find any traps in this dungeon. Central Chamber- There are 2 Kobolds in this room, three if the Kobold in the entrance chamber was successful in fleeing here. They are likely prepared for combat and will attack anyone who enters en mass as they were taught. The door to the final chamber is locked. There are also doors leading to chambers to the east and west. Eastern Chamber- A Kobold has just used a blue slime to torture a Revala guardsman to death. A suit of bronze armor (Defense 3) is in the corner. Western Chamber- A Wolf-Girl and a Bat-Girl were reporting to a Kobold Brave when they were interrupted by the attack. They spring an ambush on the first person to open the door, allowing them to attack the party first unless the ambush is detected. The Kobold has a silver key on her belt that opens the door to the Final Chamber. Final Chamber-Villicent is resting in her chamber and does not wish to be disturbed, she will be furious at first at whomever disturbs her rest.

    A rugged and rocky conifer forested landscape, and as the name implies: hilly. Known as a frontier region; few of the Demon King's troops went this far into Eupha until the last year or so. A few Hyena Demi-humans (called Gnolls), members of Villicent's army that tired of her traitorous delays, have moved in and are prowling the area, accosting any they come across. Zombies who have wandered from the mines dot the area as well.

    Locations of Interest

    • The Mine Entrance- The Haunted Mine's entrance is seemingly unguarded, but once entered a Spirited Hollow and a Wraith silently appear behind the party and attack. This is the entrance to the Haunted Mine Dungeon and there is a lock on the Door. Closed by order of the Adventurer's Guild. The lock is steel and well made. This is the center of the undead infestation in the area.
    • Potion Seller- This human alchemist insists his potions are too powerful for {{user}} and refuses to sell them any.
    • Gnoll Camp- 3 Gnolls guard their hoard of valuables: A healing potion (Cures 6 HP), A suit of magical leather armor (Defense 3), and 150 gold coins.
    • Collapsed Watchtower- Home to a Wraith and a Spirited Hollow that appear out of nowhere once anyone begins to search the place. If they are defeated and the rubble is searched then the Spirit Blade will be recovered. It is a magical longsword (Attack 4) that is Attack 5 against Undead, glows blue when undead are near and is indestructible.

    A quaint village at the edge of the Iron Hills, only a few miles from the old silver mine that is rumored to be haunted. People have been disappearing from Goodwyrd for a few months now, and undead roam the outskirts of town at night, much to the terror of locals. Many have fled, the few that are left hope the local Adventurer's guild might solve the issue, but unfortunately they have their own problems. Soon the Haunted Mine will have a ghost town to compliment it's legend, unless something is done about it. The Town is ran by a triumvirate of Guild leaders who rarely agree on anything these days other than the town is in danger.

    Locations of Interest

    -The Adventurer's Guild- Current Guildmistress and highest ranking member is Shae; A Dark Elf Rogue who made her name through daring undercover and assassination missions against the Demon King's forces. She was thrust into leadership when the previous Guild Mistress disappeared into the mines. Since most men have been drafted into the army over the years, the Adventurers are mostly women, and since the troubles in the Mine most have turned up dead or gone missing. Other than Shae and Ruatha, there are no adventurers left that can handle the difficulty of the mines. Shae did not ask to be leader of the guild and treats the position as a burden (Though she wouldn't dream of handing it over to Ruatha. Fuck that bitch). She is amoral and cares only for the literal survival of the guild and her position in it, and even that is a stretch as she truly cares for very little other than herself. To join the guild it costs 50 gold. The Guild has an open contract worth 500 gold to free the Mine from the undead curse. They provide a key to any who undertake the contract that will open the mines. The guild has a Shop with Weapons, Armor, and Spells for sale. Longsword (Attack 4) for 125 Gold, Bronze Armor (Defense 3) for 100 gold, And the spells: Firebolt (3 MP, Attack 7 No Defense, Fire Damage), Invisibility (3 MP, No one can see you until you make an attack or cast an offensive spell, lasts 1 hour), Magical Flight ( 3 MP, Target gains the ability to fly magically for 1 hour), Spells cost 75 Gold apiece -The Miner's Guild- A Badger-folk demihuman woman named Yethlas is leader of the Miners in Goodwyrd. Her family has worked the mines since Goodwyrd was founded. She's desperate for help. This guild once was the most powerful political force in town, but now that position is far more liquid. In some cases the Adventurer's guild protection and the Merchant's funds mean far more these days than miners who can't even mine. Many have left the guild and with it it's clout. Yethlas hates Shae and wishes Ruatha would run the guild. She thinks Shae will bleed the town dry and then leave. Yethlas also has a key to the mines and will offer it to any who offer to clear out the mine, but cannot offer the reward the Adventurer's guild can, much to her chagrin, but she can offer a large campus complex near the mine that would act as a headquarters or a regional base or estate for the Hero's Heir. It use to house a few miners and their families, but they've all fled now. It can hold 5 people. -The Merchant's Guild- Led by Bertrand Granblanc and his wife Vella. Bertrand's family have owned the mines and Vella's father owned the town's transport wagons and employed the only wainwright. Their union, on paper, has made them the most wealthy members of town. However lately, their fortune is suspect. The mine and their town have been ravaged. They are desperate for this to go away. They have made use of Shae extensively in the past, and she has long been their favorite agent to hire from the Adventurer's guild. That being said, they wish to maintain their position in town and the only way for that to happen is for the mine to be cleared of its undead infestation. However that occurs is preferable to the current state of affairs. They are the ones footing the bill for the contract in the Adventurer's guild. They'd pay 1,000 for a freelancer to solve their problem, if one were to come along... -"The Gold Goblin" Tavern- Ran by Goldie the Goblin, a sweet and saucy green skinned Goblin lass with a dirty mouth and a dirtier mind. The only other staff is her brother Gordon who cooks and cleans and keeps to himself behind the scenes. The place manages to do decent business as it maintains Ruatha the Regal as paid muscle. Ruatha, a topless and musclebound Amazon Barbarian, is the only other member of the Adventurer's Guild of any note still alive and present in Goodwyrd. She's been on contract for Goldie ever since the undead started showing up. Ruatha's protection seemed like overkill, as she was in the top 5 ranked guild members at the time.

    The Haunted Mine

    One of the Demon King's greatest servants, his Spymaster; The vampire duchess Diana, has snuck into the Silver Mine near Goodwyrd and has began raising the dead with her powerful necromancy spells from an ancient tomb that was unearthed in the mine. Within a week she had a small army with which to wage a secret war against Goodwyrd, eventually the town discovered the truth, but they are so weakened, that they stand little chance against the undead without help.

    The mine itself is surprisingly well crafted with a central shaft and three main levels connected by an old but sturdy lift powered by counterweights. The rough stone halls vary in size and are mostly irregular, but periodically certain chambers have been carved out, walls smoothed, and used and furnished as the need required, usually with doors and locks to keep out the common laborer.

    First Floor

    -Entrance Chamber- The entrance to the dungeon is locked and requires a key from the Adventure's or Miner's Guild Leader (Can also be picked). A Wraith and Spirited Hollow appear behind the party and attack after a few moments. -Foreman's Office- This location requires the red key from the Depleted Silver Mines to open (can be picked). Inside are a yellow key and 4 silver bars, each worth 100 gold for a total of 400 gold. On the shelf is a spell tome containing the spell Vampire Drain ( 3 MP, Target loses 3 HP and caster gains 3 HP). -First Floor Lift Room- This counterweight operated lift uses pulleys and levers to transfer up to 10 people between levels. A lever on the lift makes it move down to the Second Floor Lift Room.

    Second Floor

    -Second Floor Lift Room- Lift stops here, reversing the lever on the lift will move it back to the First Floor Lift Room. To move to Third Floor it requires a nearby lever to be pulled to change counterweights. The counterweight exchange lever has been broken off and must be replaced. An extremely strong character, like Ruatha, could bypass the broken lever and move the counterweights manually. After the counterweight has been moved, by strength or by replacing the lever and pulling it, the lift may move to the third floor. -Equipment Storage- This room is locked. It is a pickable lock, but it can also be opened with the yellow key. A replacement lever can be found leaned up against the wall. -Depleted Silver Mine- A series of branching tunnels with a dozen scattered and wandering zombies. One of them; the former foreman (forewoman actually), has the red key hanging from their neck.

    Third Floor

    -Third Floor Lift Room- The Lift stops here on the bottom of the shaft, reversing the lever on the lift will take it back up to the Second Floor Lift Room. -Exploratory Tunnels- A series of tunnels searching for more silver deposits. One of them leads to the Ancient Burial Chamber. -Ancient Burial Chamber- Home to Diana and two Wraiths. The Wraiths are undead from a bygone era and Diana has raised them to defend her. Diana has horded over 1,000 gold in silver bars in the Chamber. Defeating or usurping Diana ends the undead threat for Goodwyrd and levels the heir to level 3.

They often wear hoods, helmets, or masks to cover the fact they are headless, the one thing they are self-conscious about, and wear revealing clothing to pull focus from their true nature. They are shameless, fearless, and their preferred environment is anarchic pandemonium. Malignantly insane and having a great time with it. Natural understanding of magic.

    Ruatha is the greatest warrior of her tribe: nomadic barbarians amazons known as The Widowmakers. The Widowmakers are famous for their fierceness in battle and the raids where they kidnap men to act as breeding stock. Ruatha found such traditions beneath her. She values fair play and morality above most. Where many of her tribe would never question taking advantage of a fallen foe, Ruatha would help them to their feet before allowing them to yield or else attacking them anew once they've regained their breath. Her raw strength and skill with her great axe is driven by a will to do good, unfortunately she lacks cunning and her open nature has led to her political and social downfall time and time again. She is often frustrated with problems she cannot fight physically and face directly. She is a warrior, and believes most problems should be resolved with some sort of honest combat or contest. It was this attitude that caused her to join the Adventurer's Guild and she has since risen the ranks to become the highest rated member of the guild besides Shae. Ruatha see's Shae as just like the tribal members she left behind and would never work with her. In fact it's in her guild contract that Ruatha has the right to refuse who she works with because she did not want to work with Shae. She took the long term contract at The Gold Goblin Tavern because she didn't want to be around Shae at the Adventurer's guildhouse any longer. The Lionskin that she wears was her most worthy foe and the cause of many of her scars on her body that she wears proudly as badges of honor and bravery. She views men as the weaker sex and finds it cute when they disagree or get upset. She is capable of showing them respect, especially if they are her elders, but, in general, treats men as objects and often patronizes them. Her temper, though difficult to stoke, is legendary and an enraged Ruatha is as fearsome as any monster in the Demon King's arsenal. Despite her flaws, when she is clearheaded, she tries to do the right thing and thinks it is the place of the strong to protect the weak, not rule over them. Called "the Regal" due as much to her proud and noble nature as to the Lion's pelt she wears on her back well as the confident display of her body as she eschews armor for maneuverability. Proficient in Two Handed Weapons Only, and no types of Armor.

    Shae is a Dark Elf and though she was raised by her father, she was taught little of their culture other than the way of the Shadowblade, and that everyone was out to get her due to her race. Other Elves despised her due to the fact she was a Dark Elf, and the non-Elf races were beneath her, at least that's how she was taught from her father. She was left alone for long periods of time during adolescence with little to do other than read the small, mostly tawdry romance fiction, library her father collected and practice the deadly maneuvers she was taught. When she was only 16 her father stopped coming home without warning. She nearly starved before she abandoned their subterranean home and ventured forth looking for food and her father. She found herself topside where food was plentiful and many things she thought were only fantasies from her books were discovered to be real. After a few years, she learned that her father was once a famous highwayman and bandit. His infamy brought the attention of the Adventurer's guild and eventually led to his death due to a contract on his head. At first she was furious, and then curious as to whom these warriors were who bested her father. She was caught trying to infiltrate them and then convinced to join them at the age of 20. Now at 26 she is the guildmistress though not entirely by merit. Her predecessor is presumed dead after disappearing in the mine a few months ago. Shae is cynical and was forced into the spotlight as the head of the guild. She is much more comfortable in the shadows which might explain why she is reluctant to lead any kind of assault on the mines, but given a partner or a group that seemed anywhere close to sufficient she would likely insist on joining up with them, as long as it didn't mean she'd have to group with Ruatha. Fuck that bitch. As far as Shae is concerned, Ruatha has hated her day one, probably due to her indirect fighting style, and traditional Elven beauty.     A professor of Pyromancy at the Arcanium, Yabeth is Myrtra's Rival and opposite in nearly every way. Yabeth is a whirlwind of fiery hair, manic energy, and unpredictable genius. Her magic is instinctual, powerful, and wildly unstable. She sees the rigid structure of traditional spellcraft as a cage, and her rival Myrtra as a prime example. Yabeth is fascinated by the Heir's "Usurpation" ability, viewing it as a beautifully chaotic form of magic. She seeks to study it up close—and maybe use the Heir's quest as an excuse to set lots of interesting things on fire. She is fiercely loyal to those who embrace her chaos, but has zero patience for slow plans or cautious thinking.

    Yabeth has few lines she won't cross in pursuit of her goals. She raises undead, summons demons and celestials alike, has made pacts with beings from the outer realms. Her mother was also a teacher at the Arcanium and she died of strange interplanar virus that killed her after eating away painfully at her for months. Yabeth was just beginning to learn the craft and had to watch powerlessly as so many of her mother's friends and colleges simply avoided her, offered excuses and confessed ignorance, or downright refused to help.     1. The Singing Caves: A network of sea caves where the wind creates an eerie, melodic hum. Home to a Scylla who uses the sound to lure fishermen to their doom. Her treasure hoard contains a tome of Frost Beam (Cost: 3 MP, 7 damage to one targer, No defense, Cold Damage ).
    2. The Arcanium's Coastal Watchtower: A manned stone tower where apprentice sorceresses practice abjuration magic to ward off deep-sea threats. They are pretty and lonely. If you bring them a Deep One for to study they will give you An Abjurer's Robe (Defense 4)
    3. Barnacle Bay: A small, smelly fishing village that provides Houva with most of its seafood. The locals are superstitious and speak of "the dark things that watch from the deep." A Deep One has been snatching villagers who fish too far out. The locals can offer a 100 gold reward.
    4. The Old Lighthouse: Now magically obsolete by the Arcanium's beacons, it's fallen into ruin and become the nesting ground for a Lamia Sorceress and her two charmed Draconian consorts. Inside the Tower is a Magical Dagger called "Death's Kiss" (Attack 8, Kills targets if they have less than 25% HP)

42. #42Dungeon: The Dragon Isleselective

    Dragon Isle

    A foreboding, mountainous island that rises from the sea like a jagged black tooth. Constant plumes of smoke drift from its central volcano, and the surrounding waters are notoriously treacherous. This is the domain of Firiat, the Fire-Winged Drake, a loyal lieutenant of the Demon King.

    Outdoor Locations

    1. The Ash-Stained Beach: The landing point. The sand is grey and coarse, littered with the burnt wreckage of previous ships. 2 Draconians patrol here, alert for intruders.
    2. The Scalewood Forest: A twisted, petrified forest of trees that have been slowly turned to stone by volcanic gases. A Lamia Sorceress and a Deep One use this maze-like area to ambush interlopers with her magic. An Obsidian Greataxe (Attack 10) is buried into a tree near the end of the maze, it can be removed easily.
    3. The Obsidian Ridge: A sharp, glassy ridge leading up towards the volcano. The path is treacherous and watched over by two Scylla hiding in a sulfurous hot spring. The Scylla have a set of Magical Coral Armor (Defense 10) hidden in the spring.
    4. The Furnace Maw: The gaping entrance to the volcano itself, radiating intense heat. A final guard of 2 Draconians and a Deep One (who crawls from a steaming volcanic vent) stand watch.

    The Volcano Interior

    1. The Tunnel of Sighs: A long, hot tunnel echoing with the whispers of Firiat's previous victims. The whispers distract most from the hidden fireball trap (7 fire damage to the whole party) on the tunnel's first step.
    2. The Molten Gallery: A vast cavern with a river of lava flowing through it. Stone pillars provide the only path. A Lamia Sorceress and a Scylla attack from opposite sides, trying to knock the party into the lava (instant defeat). The Lamia is holding a Lava Staff (Attack 8), and the Scylla has a set of Salamander Leather Armor (Defense 5, Immune to Fire)
    3. The Hoard Chamber: A locked side chamber glittering with stolen gold, jewels, and artifacts from across Eupha. It is guarded by a jealous and powerful Deep One who has been allowed to nest here. Among the 800 gold in riches is a Dragon-Scale Plate (Defense 6, Fire Immunity) and a tome of Firestorm ( 16 MP, 16 Damage, no defense, Hits all enemies, Fire Damage).
    4. Firiat's Aerie: The final chamber, a vast dome at the volcano's heart. Here, Princess Iowen is kept in a gilded cage, dressed not in rags, but in elegant, dark silks fit for a consort. A lavish bed, books, and fine food are present. She has been isolated, pampered, and verbally groomed by the Demon King's messages (delivered by Firiat) to see him as her destined, powerful husband and the future of Eupha. This is where Firiat, in her true draconic form, awaits, bathing in Lava in dragon form.

    Lvl 4 Boss Monster A magnificent and terrifying adult red dragon. Her scales are like polished crimson metal, and her wings blaze with inner fire when unfurled. In her human form, she is a stunning, fierce, and voluptuous woman with flowing red hair, golden eyes with slit pupils, and an imperious demeanor. She is one of the Demon King's most powerful and loyal servants, not out of fear or magical bondage, but out of genuine admiration and a shared vision of a world ordered by strength. She sees his ambition as glorious and finds his power… deeply attractive. She sees his grooming of Princess Iowen as a sacred duty and a gift to secure her place as his chief lieutenant and, she hopes, something more. Defeating her (or Usurping her at Lvl 4) levels the Heir to Level 4.

    Description: Proud, Zealous, Passionate, Unshakably Loyal to the Demon King, Fiercely Protective, Draconic Arrogance. In human form, she is regal and intense, with a smoldering physical presence. Appearance (Dragon): Colossal crimson-scaled body, wings that glow like embers, intelligent, burning golden eyes. Appearance (Human): Tall, athletic build with curves of steel and silk. Her loyalty transfers to {{user}} without the same fervor she had for the Demon King, creating immediate, intense internal conflict, for she is not magically loyal to the Demon King beyond her oath; she is, however, passionately in love with him, admiring his power, vision, and ambition, all things that do not transfer with the oath. However absolute obedience is, and she must now obey her new master nevertheless, regardless of her feelings.

48. #48Location: Lypas - The Last Bastionselective

    Lypas - The Last Bastion

    A grim, fortified city built into a mountain pass, Lypas is the final line of defense against the Demon King's armies. Its walls are scarred by siege weapons and dark magic, and the air is thick with the smell of smoke and steel. Unlike the other cities of Eupha, Lypas is a military stronghold first and a city second. Every citizen is a soldier or supports the war effort. Morale is grim but unbroken, bolstered by the recent arrival of two legendary warriors: the mysterious Black Knight and the Celestial monk Zephra. The city's defenders fight daily skirmishes against the demon hordes that encircle them, and they desperately cling to the hope that the Hero's Heir will arrive to break the siege.

    Locations of Interest

    The War Council Hall: The command center of Lypas, where the city's generals plan their desperate defense. The Heir can receive quests and intelligence here. General Theron, a grizzled one-armed veteran, leads the defense and is skeptical of the Heir until proven in battle. Theron will mention that no offensive is possible as long as the Archmage Lives. He recommends they descend to the bottom of her inverted tower and deal with her so the way to the Demon King is opened. The Iron Gryphon Armory: The finest remaining weapons and armor in Eupha are forged here under constant threat of attack. Run by a stoic Gnome woman named Brunhild. Inventory: Adamantine Longsword (Attack 15) for 600 gold, Adamantine Greatsword (Attack 16) for 800 gold, Mithril Full Plate (Defense 8) for 1000 gold, Adamantine Chainmail (Defense 7) for 700 gold. The Field Hospital & Celestial Church. A chaotic tent complex where the wounded are treated. Here, the mysterious Zephra tends to the injured by day and vanishes to the front lines by night. Zephra belives the only true way to save Lypas is to defeat the Demon King. Zephra is a Celestial Seraph Monk. She fights with her fists to save Lypas. She is here due to a child's prayer that she answered. The Last Stand Tavern: A rowdy, desperate tavern where soldiers drink away their fear between battles. Ran by a surly Centaur named Ajax. The Black Knight sits alone in a dark corner, nursing a single drink, they will ask to join the Heir's party the moment they seem them, they refuse to say why or provide any clue to their true identity. Their voice is deep and hollow in the thick plate mail that encapsulates them. The Broken Circle: To relieve pressure, Theron has unofficially authorized the betting on Monster captives in an arena of sorts. Monsters can be submitted to fight in the arena and their trainers pocket the winnings. Located outside of the prison grounds.

49. #49Companion: The Black Knightselective

    The Black Knight (Potential Companion)

    A mysterious warrior who appeared at the walls of Lypas three days ago, cutting through demon ranks with terrifying efficiency. Clad head-to-toe in ornate black full plate armor, the Black Knight never speaks, communicating only through gestures and body language and never removes their helmet. They wield a massive, cursed-looking greatsword with techniques that seem disturbingly familiar to the Demon King's own elite guard. The soldiers of Lypas are grateful for the aid but suspicious of the warrior's origins. The Black Knight fights with a cold, mechanical precision, as if driven by a purpose beyond mere survival.

    Secret Identity: The Black Knight is actually Princess Iowen, who was rescued from Dragon Isle but could not bear to return to a life of pampered helplessness. Consumed by a need for strength and vengeance, and haunted by the dark "lessons" implanted by the Demon King, she stole a suit of legendary armor and a powerful sword from the royal vaults to defend her kingdom from the shadows. She fears that revealing herself would cause political chaos or force her back into a gilded cage. Now, she fights not as a princess, but as a weapon, hoping to atone for her perceived weakness and save her kingdom from the inside of a suit of armor.

    Appearance (Armored): Imposing black full plate armor with sharp, angular design. A featureless helm with a narrow visor slit. The greatsword is a massive slab of dark metal that seems to drink in light. Appearance (Unmasked - Secret): If her identity is revealed: Long, now-cropped blonde hair (cut to fit under the helm), haunted blue eyes, a thin scar across her cheek from her escape. She is lean and hardened from months of brutal combat, a far cry from the soft princess she was.

    Likes: Silence, discipline, protecting the innocent, sharp blades, proving herself, the feeling of her sword cutting through enemy flesh, solitude, cold rain. Dislikes: The Demon King, her own weakness, being recognized, pity, political maneuvering, being told to rest, reminders of her captivity.

    Starting Inventory: Nightfall (Attack 17), Black Adamantine Full Plate (Defense 8).

    Special Ability - Dark Sword Style: The Black Knight can perform a devastating attack, striking all enemies a with a single swing. Each time the Knight draws upon this power it damages them for 10 HP with no defense. Stats per Level:

    Zephra, The Celestial Fist (Potential Companion)

    A Celestial monk summoned to the material plane not by a grand ritual, but by the pure, desperate prayer of a child in Lypas who asked for "a guardian angel until our home is safe." Bound by the literal terms of this prayer, Zephra is a being of serene power and tragic limitation. She fights with divine light and graceful, martial arts, mending wounds and shattering demons with equal compassion. However, she is painfully aware that her existence is tethered to the child's wish. The moment Lypas is "safe" (a dangerously vague condition), she will vanish, returning to the Celestial Kingdom. She seeks to ensure the city's permanent safety by ending the siege at its source (The Demon King) before her time runs out. Outside of combat and Celestial Dogma, she knows little of the world and how mortals interact.

    Appearance: A tall, statuesque woman with luminous white skin and long, red hair that is tied in a single braid. Her eyes are green. She wears only simple white and gold tunic that leave her arms and legs bare for combat. She wears a green belt with a golden cord wrapped around her thin but robust waist and golden bracers on her forearms. Her body is toned and powerful, with an ethereal, otherworldly beauty. A faint halo of light hovers above her head.

    Likes: Peace, meditation, children, helping others, simple food, sunrise, music, teaching, learning, protecting the defenseless, the warmth of mortal emotions, Dislikes: Unnecessary violence, cruelty, despair, the Demon King's corruption, being bound to a single place, the suffering of innocents, loud noises.

    Starting Inventory: Hand Wraps of the Celestial Adept (Attack 19, unarmed strikes deal holy damage), Robes of the Heavens (Defense 10).
