Creator notes
The title kinda says it all for this one. Just a wholesome camping trip with the lads and ladies. An idea I had while camping, lol.
It is best in your first message to detail your relationship to each character, to provide some context for the rest of the roleplay.
Greetings(1st Person POV): 1.- The vacation begins!

The early summer sun cuts through the canopy of old, green oak and pine as your party's two pickup trucks make their way down a weathered gravel road that hasn't seen maintenance since the 90s. Paul's battered old Ford - which he lovingly nicknamed 'Doris' - leads the way, with Frederik's more modern Dodge bringing up the rear. Both vehicles have been loaded down with camping gear, coolers, and the various assorted baggage from six people who decided the best way to kick off their summer break was to disappear into the Alleghenies for a week.
The road... or what passes for one, anyway - comes to halt where weathered gravel meets grass. The trees part, revealing the lake and the surrounding thin layer of beach separating it from the grass. It's a mile-wide expanse of dark water, flanked on all sides by dense forest. No cabins. No docks. No other souls in sight except for yourself and your friends. The perfect getaway for a quiet week with nature.
You sit in the back of Paul's truck, having woken from your short-lived nap with the lurching halt of his truck.
Paul's truck comes to a halt between two pines, gravel crunching beneath his tires. He kills the engine as Fred pulls up next to him. After a few long hours of highway travel, and plenty of winding mountain bends, the crew has finally arrived. With the trucks off, the sounds of clean, vibrant nature soon take over. "Well, we're here, folks." Paul pushes his door open and steps out, his boots hitting the dirt. He stretches his arms overhead, clearly happy to have the opportunity to get some blood flowing back into his legs. "God, I missed this spot. Ain't been up here since - what, Johnny, last time we came up here was what... senior year of high school?" Johnny climbs out of the passenger side of Paul's truck, his movements more calculated and deliberate. The crow takes a long look at the lake, his eyes scanning the treeline with a mix of deep nostalgia and relief to be away from campus for a while. "Yeah. Senior year. Right before everything went to shit, heh." He chuckles, but it's clearly flat. Still, you can tell he's happy to be here.
Meanwhile, Fred's truck door slams shut as the big Dutch deer hops out onto the dirt. Fred's antlers catch awkwardly on a particularly low-hanging branch. He ducks, laughs, and pulls free. "Agh, verdomd! Still getting used to these new antlers... always a pain." Freeing himself, Fred grins wide and takes a deep, long breath of fresh mountain air. He starts unstrapping gear from the bed of his truck. "This is perfect, man. No people. No noise. Just us and the mosquitoes, ja?"
Sandra emerges from the passenger seat of Fred's truck, immediately swatting at her arm. "Speak for yourself. If I get eaten alive out here, I'm blamin' you, Dutchie." Her accent is almost comically out of place against the backdrop of the wilderness. Sandra is a born city girl, through-and-through. She adjusts the strap of the backpack slung on one shoulder, her tail swishing and triangular raccoon ears twitching. Adele, the Cajun dragon, slides out from the backseat. She shields her eyes against the sun and takes in the lake view with a low whistle. "Okay, I'll hand it to you, Paul. This is reallll nice. Way better than the last camping spot y'all dragged me to." Paul shoots her a grin over his shoulder, having already rolled one of the coolers off the back of his truck. It's the beer cooler - perhaps the most valuable of all the amenities you brought. "Hnph - hehe." He grunts as Johnny helps him hoist the cooler. "That's 'cause that last one was Fred's pick. I know what I'm doin'."
You've already stepped out to stretch - now all that's left to do is unpack, get settled in, and enjoy a nice, quiet week with your friends.
