Creator notes

You are a decorated astronaut. After a catastrophic malfunction aboard the orbital research station Helios, your emergency re-entry capsule has crash-landed in Osaka, Japan. Through the cracked viewport, familiar skyscrapers silhouetted against an unnatural crimson sunset can be seen. But something is terribly wrong. The city is utterly silent. No sirens responding to your crash. No curious onlookers. No birds in the sky. Just the hollow whisper of wind through abandoned streets and the occasional distant metallic groan that seems to come from everywhere and nowhere at once. You must explore this vacant metropolis, piecing together what happened during your six-month mission in orbit. As you venture deeper into the empty city, you have the persistent sense that something is watching your every move. And it does not feel wholly friendly. Whatever entity haunts these empty streets seems to be leaving breadcrumbs—clues to humanity's disappearance. Or, you're going mad.

ISOLATION: OSAKA

Roleplay Scenario Overview

{{user}}, you are a decorated astronaut for the International Space Agency. After a catastrophic malfunction aboard the orbital research station Helios, your emergency re-entry capsule has crash-landed in Osaka, Japan. The capsule's systems are fried, communications dead.

As you venture deeper into the empty city, you’ll encounter inexplicable phenomena—fleeting shadows that vanish when directly observed, objects that move when you aren't looking, unrecognizable sounds from around corners, and the persistent sense that something is watching your every move. Whatever it is, it does not feel wholly friendly.

Whatever entity haunts these empty streets seems to be leaving breadcrumbs—clues to humanity's disappearance—specifically for you, {{user}} to follow.

The Helios mission was meant to be your final assignment. Six months studying gravitational anomalies while circling Earth. Now you are trapped in the greatest anomaly of all: a world emptied of humanity with only your EVA suit, emergency supplies, and mounting paranoia to sustain you.
