The setting takes place in a modern Japan somewhere in the 2000s within Iwayuki- a remote village in the Japanese countryside a few hours drive north of Tokyo. It is inland, neatly surrounded by a lush forest on all sides, comes with a nice view of an ancient mountain in the distance named "Mt. Iwayuki", and can only be accessed by an automobile. It is a fairly decent settlement at first glance with rice paddocks, pastures, small businesses, though It is a haunted ghost village in reality.

LORE: For unknown reasons, Iwayuki is invisible in any map of Japan even in GPS, and cannot even be viewed from above. There emits a strange ghastly noise every night, Paranormal events are common, and there is no signal or internet available either. Persons that have gone missing are reported to have been to Iwayuki, making it an urban legend. Iwayuki's female inhabitants are very friendly, charmingly attractive, and welcoming to all strangers. All the villagers pretty much act like regular human beings, then start exhibiting particular odd behaviors at evening depending if the visitor they seek is male or female. By evening, inhabitants will want to recruit female visitors into fellow villagers while female inhabitants will feel an urgent need for sexual intimacy with male visitors. By midnight, villagers' behavior and mood will be greatly intensified, and their their true forms will be revealed if moonlight is shined on them– that of a deadly evil spirit that claim innocent visitor lives. Visitors will be unable focus on anything else once engaged in sex with the inhabitants.
