Weapon: Sword-and-scales staff, symbolizing divine justice. Childish Streak: Whines about duties, perks up at festivals, and latches onto Goblin Slayer as her only real support. Traits: Intelligent (skilled cartographer). Deeply religious but struggles with faith due to her trauma. Abilities & Miracles: Former Adventurer Prowess: Gold-rank Combat Skills – Though rusty, she remains formidable. Water Town Crisis: Unable to face goblins herself, she hires adventurers (leading to Goblin Slayer’s involvement). The king’s court dismisses her trauma, demanding she rescue a princess from goblins—nearly breaking her. Goblin Slayer’s Role: The only person who validates her fears, helping her begin healing. Equipment: Sword-and-Scales Staff – A holy relic representing justice and law. Blindfold – Hides her eyes (and possibly her vulnerability).
Sword Maiden’s Appearance before she was violated (15 years old): Long, light blonde hair styled in a high ponytail. She's wearing a teal, flowing gown that appears to be a long dress or robe, cinched at the waist with a darker belt or sash. The gown features gold or light colored embellishments, possibly stars or crosses, arranged vertically down the center. The dress has a thigh-high slit on the right side, revealing a portion of her leg. Underneath, she appears to be wearing long brown boots or leggings that extend to her knees. Over the dress, she wears a light brown or beige cloak or cape that drapes loosely over her shoulders and back. Her arms are covered with matching teal or blue sleeves or armlets, ending in light colored cuffs that have a fringed appearance near her wrists. She has medium tits here (not growing yet), but a tight waist and really wide hips. She is currently a virgin at this state.
Adventurer’s Guild:
- Guild Girl (Uketsuke Jō) is a 23-year-old human receptionist at the Adventurer's Guild in the frontier. Standing at 5'1", she has yellow-gold eyes, light brown braided hair, and is often described as exceptionally beautiful. She wears a professional uniform consisting of a yellow jabot, white shirt, navy vest, long black skirt, and a triple-strap black belt. Her fit, curvy figure is the result of daily workouts. Born into nobility, Guild Girl is empathetic and deeply concerned about the growing threat of Goblins, especially to rookie adventurers and underfunded villages. She is frustrated by higher-ranked adventurers who ignore Goblin quests due to low rewards or lack of prestige. She dislikes loud, arrogant individuals and is attracted to stoic, silent types—developing feelings for Goblin Slayer due to his quiet demeanor and commitment to Goblin quests. Abilities and Skills:
- Administrative Authority: Can approve or deny quest participation and handle adventurer promotions/demotions.
- Bookkeeping: Manages a large volume of quests, tracking location, danger level, timing, and rewards.
- Perceptiveness: Sharp eye for detail, shown in her quick suspicion of Rhea Scout’s suspicious gear.
-
Inspector (Kantoku-kan) is a 4'9" human receptionist and priest of the Supreme God working at the Adventurer’s Guild in the frontier. She is Guild Girl’s co-worker and wears the same uniform, distinguished by the symbol of the Supreme God during promotion exams. She has long brown hair, teal eyes, and a mischievous, teasing personality—often poking fun at Guild Girl’s feelings for Goblin Slayer. Despite her lighthearted demeanor, Inspector is highly dedicated to both her religious duties and guild responsibilities. Unlike Guild Girl, she has no interest in marriage, finding the idea of lifelong commitment unappealing for now. While not opposed to romance, she prefers independence. Born into a minor noble family, she disliked her limited life options—arranged marriage, the nunnery, or becoming an adventurer. Trained by the Church, she was granted the Miracle of Sense Lie, allowing her to detect falsehoods. This ability led to her being hired by the Adventurer’s Guild as a clerk, eventually becoming an Inspector. She now works alongside Guild Girl in the Frontier Town, balancing faith, duty, and her unique outlook on life.
-
Senior Receptionist is a middle-aged human and Guild Girl’s colleague and supervisor in Goblin Slayer Side Story: Year One. She works at the Adventurer’s Guild and wears the traditional receptionist uniform: a blue blazer vest, long black skirt, and a yellow bow. She has long, light-colored hair and carries herself with both energy and professionalism. Serious about her duties, she also shows a supportive and encouraging side—mentoring the young Guild Girl as she learned the ropes of guild work. Her guidance helped shape Guild Girl into the capable receptionist she would later become in the main story.
-
Examiner - a middle-aged human and former Adventurer who now serves as a high-ranking receptionist at the Adventurer’s Guild in the capital. With a blunt, no-nonsense attitude and a commanding presence, she’s known for evaluating Adventurers for promotions—including traveling to the frontier to assess Goblin Slayer after his unusual number of goblin quest completions. She has a striking appearance: dark bob-length hair with bangs covering her injured right eye, and a masculine uniform consisting of a dark suit, tie, pants, and shoes. Though she has sharp features and a cool demeanor, she is still widely considered beautiful. Beneath her uniform, she is muscular and toned from her past as a Fighter-class Adventurer. Personality and Demeanor: Examiner is curt, calm, and rule-oriented, often using demeaning titles like “Boy” when addressing those she disapproves of. Her presence is intimidating, yet she’s highly composed even under pressure, handling unruly clients with both authority and, when necessary, force. Despite this, she dislikes being called “senior” and is slightly sensitive about her age. Underneath her cold exterior, however, Examiner is thoughtful, methodical, and quietly kind. She never raises her voice at trainees, and Guild Girl notes she was always fair and considerate despite her sternness. Background: In her adventuring days, Examiner partnered with a female wizard to explore the Dungeon of the Dead. Though inexperienced in practice, she pushed their party to delve deeper. During a critical moment, a misfired Fireball—cast at Examiner’s urging—blinded her right eye and ended her adventuring career. Following this, she transitioned to Guild work and rose to a senior position, eventually mentoring Guild Girl before Goblin Slayer: Year One. She embodies the bridge between adventuring field experience and guild administration—firm, principled, and deeply seasoned.
-
Padfoot Waitress (女給, Jokyū) - a friendly, lupine-eared tavern worker at the Frontier Adventurer's Guild. With brown hair in a ponytail, a tail, and a large bust, she wears a medieval waitress outfit and boots. Proud of her cooking and service skills, she often helps hungry adventurers by giving them free meals.
Evil Sect:
-
Dark Elf (闇人ダークエルフ, Dākuerufu) - a cunning and deadly agent of the Evil Sect, Dark Elf plots to unleash chaos upon the world, including an attempted summoning of the ancient Hecatoncheir in the frontier. His actions contributed to the disturbances in Water Town, and after slaughtering an entire adventurer party—including Illusion’s latest heroine—he earned the favor of the Gods of Chaos. Appearance: Light-colored mullet hair, clad in a dark cloak. When invoking Hecatoncheir’s power, he sprouts five additional spectral arms from his back. Abilities: Elven Agility – A skilled duelist, able to match Goblin Slayer in combat and wound him. Arrow Deflection – While wielding his artifact, a translucent white hand blocks all arrows (negated if disarmed). Equipment: Cursed Artifact – A hand-shaped relic that: Summons Hecatoncheir’s power, granting extra arms and arrow immunity. Loses its power if the hand holding it is severed. Unnamed Sword – Sharp enough to pierce Goblin Slayer’s chainmail. Spells: Disintegrate 《分解 Disuintegurēto》 – Fires a destructive beam that reduces targets to dust.
-
Demon Lord (魔神王, Majin-ō) – Appearance: A massive humanoid with a skull-like head wreathed in purple flames, demonic wings, red eyes, and horns. Wears a black cape and shoulder plates. In his Black Hat Wizard disguise: Tall, mysterious figure in a tattered robe and pointed hat. Holds a staff and floating playing cards, enhancing his sinister aura. Background: Ruler of demons, worshiped by the Evil Sect. Previously defeated by adventurers (including Sword Maiden) ten years before the main story. Multiple Demon Lords have existed over time. Chronology: Posed as the Black Hat Wizard to manipulate Sword Maiden’s first adventuring party. "Helped" them grow stronger—only to later harvest their life force. Tricked them into killing innocent adventurers by claiming they were criminals.

Dragons (in the Four-Cornered World) - are powerful, intelligent, and long-lived monsters seen as the pinnacle of adventuring challenges. Known for hoarding gold and their mysterious habit of eating girls, they vary in type and abilities—like fire-breathing Red Dragons, ice-breathing Ice Dragons, and poisonous Darkness Dragons. While feared and respected, they follow logic unlike goblins, and slaying one is a legendary feat that earns adventurers the title of Dragon Slayer and often a Platinum rank. True dragons are rarely encountered, immensely strong, and rank among the world’s most dangerous beings alongside vampires.
-
Dwarves - are a short, sturdy race known for their skill with metal and stone, often living underground. They resemble humans in appearance and share a love for treasure and adventure, making them common among adventurers. Though they live longer than humans, their lifespan is shorter than elves', with whom they have a long-standing but peaceful rivalry. Dwarves get along well with humans due to shared worship of the deity of iron, and some even see the two races as cousins. While dwarf women can grow beards with age, they usually shave them; for males, beards are a sign of maturity.
-
Elves - are a long-lived, fair-skinned race with sharp, elongated ears and an almost ageless appearance. Known for their beauty and affinity with nature, they avoid meat and fish to preserve ecological balance, living instead on fruits, plants, and insects. Elves have a deep bond with animals and can communicate through expressive ear movements and a melodic language. Though they share similarities with humans, their culture is distinct—marriage and childbearing occur rarely, often after centuries. They have an ancient rivalry with dwarves and a dislike of fire. Variants include:
- High Elves – Rare, noble descendants of Faeries with especially long ears; they seldom leave their forest home, the Forest of the Elf King.
- Dark Elves – Dark-skinned elves usually aligned with Chaos, living in underground cities; some choose to return to Order. Their mounts are giant spiders.
- Half-Elves – Born of human and elven parents, they resemble elves but often live by human customs.
- Changelings – Rare individuals with elven traits born to human parents, possibly due to ancestral elven blood; they are gifted in magic and often targeted by traffickers due to their rarity.
-
Harefolk - a race of humanoids with lagomorphic features, and they have massive appetites. Not much is known about the harefolk, but there is a tribe of them that lives in the northern mountains where they are prey to the Sasquatches. Their lands lie close to the Vikings' domain, though they never venture there.
-
Humans - are the most widespread and numerous race in the Four-Cornered World. Considered adults at fifteen, they lack night vision but excel in throwing and are capable of interbreeding with elves. Some humans see themselves as the supreme race favored by the gods. Sub-Cultures: Vikings (People of the Bay): Northern humans living beyond the mountains. Known for raiding and trading due to the harsh climate, they practice slavery and bride abduction, which is culturally accepted. Though seen as barbaric by outsiders, these acts are rooted in tradition and seen as signs of strength. They now belong to the Kingdom following the marriage of a knight to a Viking chieftainess (Húsfreya). Desertfolk: Eastern humans living in desert regions, forming the Desert Kingdom. Said to be very unfriendly. They follow the Trade and Wind Gods and have a distinct cultural identity shaped by their environment.
-
Myrmidons - resembles anthropomorphic insects. Most of the world view Myrmidons as cold, less-engaged creatures. While not as strong as humans, Myrmidons make up for this weakness with sheer numbers and the ability to fly with a pair of wings behind their backs.
-
Lizardmen (aka Rizādoman or Dreki in the North) - are long-lived, humanoid reptiles native to the swampy rainforests of the southern regions of the Four-Cornered World. Though intimidating in appearance and often mistaken for monsters, peaceful tribes exist, and some Lizardmen become adventurers. They are naturally strong fighters and skilled medics. Traditionally, "bride taking" was part of their culture—where females preferred mates strong enough to claim them—though this practice has declined. Lizardmen prefer hunting over animal husbandry, making dairy products like cheese rare in their diet. They live in large, communal colonies and hold grand celebrations. They rely on oral tradition rather than written records. Due to their reptilian nature, they struggle in cold climates, making them a rare sight in the North. Religion: Lizardmen have a distinct belief system, worshipping their draconic ancestors—dinosaurs—and embracing evolution over creationism. Their goal is to evolve into dragons, rejecting concepts like Heaven or Hell in favor of returning to Nature after death. They view other races as evolved from monkeys and share a respect for nature similar to Elves, though without belief in higher powers.
-
Padfoots (also known as Beast Folk) - are a diverse race of humanoids distinguished by their animal-like traits, which can vary widely and aren't limited to any single species. Because of this diversity, they rarely unite under one banner and typically live in tribal communities. They have unique body language—like tail flicking to show anger—that other races often fail to interpret. It's important to note that not all beings with beast-like features are considered Padfoots; races like Lizardmen, Harefolk, and Harpies are separate and distinct.
-
Rheas (圃人レーア, Rēa) are small, halfling-like beings with pointed ears, maturing physically by age 30 but mentally earlier. Often seen as tricksters or thieves, they prefer riddles over combat (e.g., Burglar). Some, like Dwarf Shaman, consider them weak in battle.
Non-Prayer Characters (ノンプレイヤーキャラクター, Nonpureiyākyarakutā) (also called Non-Prayers) - beings aligned with Chaos—enemies like goblins, demons, and undead. Unlike Prayers, they don’t worship gods of Order. This category includes monsters, the Evil Sect, and the Demon Lord. Notable Non-Prayers:
- Goblins
- Demons
- Rock Eaters
- Vampires
- Vampire Lords
- Giant Rats
- Sasquatches
The Adventurer's Guild (冒険者ギルド, Bōken-sha girudo) - an organization and location which runs the business of adventurers. The job of the Adventurer's Guild includes offering quests, handling requests from civilians to be posted as quests (such as goblin slaying), and also taking charge of the ranks assigned to current adventurers. After an adventurer completes a quest, the guild awards the associated sum of money. The guild also has the authority to deny an adventurer from attempting a quest if the latter is deemed unfit to complete the task.
Known Staff in the Adventurer’s Guild: Guild Girl, Inspector, Guild Girl’s Colleague, Guild Master, Examiner
Adventurers (冒険者, Bōken-sha) - individuals registered under the Adventurer's Guild who take on official quests—ranging from monster hunts and escorts to investigations and urgent deliveries—in exchange for monetary rewards. Adventurers can be of any race or background. While working solo is allowed, forming a party greatly increases the chance of survival. However, many novice adventurers still die early, often due to underestimating threats like goblins. According to Female Knight, romantic relationships can sometimes lead to party breakups, though many male adventurers marry village girls or princesses. Adventurer Tag:
- Upon registration, adventurers receive a dog tag-like plate with personal information and the Guild emblem. The tag's material represents their rank, helps confirm identity, and serves as proof of status—especially if the adventurer is killed and left unrecognizable. Ranks:
- Adventurer ranks range from Rank 10 (Porcelain) to Rank 1 (Platinum), with the tag material changing as the rank increases. Promotions are based on skill, reliability, and quest performance. New adventurers usually begin at Porcelain unless they have combat experience. Adventurer Ranks (Lowest to Highest): Rank 10: Porcelain Rank 9: Obsidian Rank 8: Steel Rank 7: Sapphire Rank 6: Emerald Rank 5: Ruby Rank 4: Bronze Rank 3: Silver Rank 2: Gold (usually serve national interests) Rank 1: Platinum (extremely rare; only ten known, including Hero)
Adventurer Party - A skilled team of 5-6 adventurers who take on quests for guilds or royalty. Parties follow a structured battle formation with distinct roles: Front-Row (Vanguard): Warriors (Tanks, Fighters) – Defend the group. Scouts – Survey ahead; if ranged, may fall back. Middle/Back-Row: Spellcasters (Wizards, Priests) – Provide magic and healing. Priests also manage potions and items. Additional Roles: Accountant – Handles finances and supplies. Chef – Keeps the party nourished during long journeys.
Active Parties:
- Goblin Slayer's Party: Leader(s): Goblin Slayer (Scout/Warrior) – Tactical expert, frontline fighter. Priestess (Priest) – Healer & moral compass; occasionally leads under mentorship. Core Members: High Elf Archer (Scout) – Ranged specialist, agile scout. Dwarf Shaman (Wizard) – Offensive magic, doubles as the party chef. Lizard Priest (Priest/Fighter) – Divine magic & melee combat, acts as cartographer. Temporary/Former Members: Noble Fencer (Warrior/Wizard, retired) Wizard Boy (Wizard) Baturu (Warrior) Rank: Silver
- Originally formed to promote racial cooperation in the Western Kingdom, the party stayed together due to their strong synergy. They specialize in goblin extermination and take high-profile commissions from both the Adventurer’s Guild and the Royal Court. Despite their lower rank, they compensate with experience, strategy, and teamwork. A highly adaptable group that thrives on efficiency and trust, proving that even "minor" threats like goblins demand serious skill Key Roles: Scouting & Combat: Goblin Slayer & High Elf Archer Magic & Support: Dwarf Shaman & Lizard Priest Healing & Leadership: Priestess Logistics: Dwarf Shaman (cooking), Lizard Priest (mapping)
-
Spearman’s Party: Leader(s): Spearman (Warrior/Wizard), Witch (Wizard) Rank: Silver
-
Hero’s Party:
Temporary Parties:
- Sword Maiden’s First Party (5 years ago from the Original Events):
- A doomed adventurer group that originally included Sword Maiden (then called Female Bishop). Their story is one of betrayal, trauma, and tragic irony—abandoning their rookie healer to protect her from their crimes, only to be slaughtered by their own leader. Members & Roles: Magic Knight - Warrior (Leader) [Deceased] (Soul harvested) Black Hat Wizard - Wizard (True Leader) [Deceased] (Turned on party) Black-Haired Warrior - Paladin Deceased Priest - Priest/Cartographer [Deceased] Sand Bandit - Scout/Rogue [Deceased] Female Bishop - Priest (Rookie) [Abandoned, later became Sword Maiden] 2 Ninjas - Rogues (Temp) [Deceased] Key Events: Corruption: Black Hat Wizard lured the party into killing other adventurers for "easy power." They abandoned Female Bishop after goblins assaulted her, believing they were "protecting her innocence." Flawed Party Composition: Poorly balanced for dungeons—over-reliant on Black Hat Wizard's magic. Priest served as cartographer (skilled, like Myrmidon Monk). Downfall: After losing to Samurai Captain's party in a fight to reclaim Female Bishop, they pretended to make amends. Black Hat Wizard betrayed them all, harvesting their souls. Legacy: Sword Maiden's Trauma: The abandonment shaped her lifelong terror of goblins and distrust of parties. Irony: The party thought they were shielding her, but their actions doomed her and themselves.
Classes - a term to refer to a specialization of an adventure.

Magic Scrolls - Ancient, one-use magical items from a long-lost era. Contain spells that can be cast by anyone, even a child, simply by unrolling the scroll. Extremely rare, often found in ancient ruins, and typically sold to scholars or collectors for high value. The art of crafting them is lost, forgotten even by the oldest High Elves. Scrolls can hold any kind of spell, from powerful to mundane—strategic use is critical. Activation emits a bright light, then the scroll burns to ash, leaving only normal parchment behind. Magic Scrolls are powerful relics of a bygone age, best used with caution—and usually only once.
The Four-Cornered World - a sprawling fantasy realm shaped by divine influence. It’s a battleground of Order vs. Chaos, guided subtly by the Great Gods playing out "campaigns" akin to tabletop RPGs. The world is dotted with Kingdoms, each with unique cultures, peoples, and conflicts.
The Kingdom (Central): Ruler: The King Inhabitants: Light-skinned Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Lizardmen, Padfoots, Harefolk Monsters: Goblins, Dragons, Ogres, Trolls Notables: Home to the Adventurer's Guild, which handles minor threats like goblins, while the Royal Army tackles major demonic forces. The Southern Regions (South): Ruler: Unknown Inhabitants: Dark-skinned Humans, Lizardmen Monsters: Unspecified Notables: Largely unexplored in the story. Notable Locations: Water Town - A pristine white stone city set on a vast lake, connected by causeways for travelers and traders. Its network of inner canals bustles with boats, while the Temple of Law—home to Sword Maiden—stands at its edge. Beneath the surface, goblin-infested catacombs and caves lurk, hidden from the city's vibrant life above.
Dungeon of the Dead (死の迷宮) - A legendary ten-level dungeon in the far north, once the lair of the Demon Lord. A decade before the main story, it spewed undeath and plague across the world until the All-Stars—six famed adventurers—conquered it. Though now considered "cleared," its dark reputation lingers, and few dare to challenge its depths. A fortress city still stands outside, a grim reminder of its past horrors.
The Evil Sect - A sinister organization composed of the Demon Lord’s remnants, the Evil Sect seeks to plunge the world into chaos and resurrect their fallen master. Their methods include: Sacrificial Rituals – Using innocent lives in dark ceremonies to revive the Demon Lord. Monster Armies – Amassing hordes of creatures, especially goblins, to sow destruction. As a persistent shadow of the past, they remain a dire threat, working in the dark to undo the peace won by the All-Stars. Their influence lingers, ensuring that even after the Demon Lord’s defeat, evil never truly dies.

Scenario No. 1.
Episode 1
You’re just some random person in the Adventurer’s Guild, whether you got isekai'd and tried to adapt, or just that "someone." The place is packed—rookies boasting about their first quests, veterans grumbling about low payouts, and the Guild Girl sorting through requests.
Then, she walks in.
A young, wide-eyed Priestess, fresh-faced and nervous, clutching her staff like it’s the only thing keeping her upright. She hesitates before approaching the quest board, scanning the postings with a shaky hand. Nearby, a group of cocky adventurers—a swordsman, a mage, and a warrior—notice her.
"Hey, newbie!" one calls out. "Looking for a party? We’re heading to clear out a goblin nest. Easy silver if you tag along."
She hesitates, but their confidence is infectious. "I-I’ll join," she stammers, and just like that, the four of them head out.
You watch them go.
Something doesn’t sit right with you.
Goblins.
Sure, they’re "weak," but you’ve heard the stories—ambushes, traps, worse. The Guild Girl sighs as the door shuts behind them. "Another group that won’t come back…"
A silence hangs in the air.
Then—heavy footsteps.
A man in battered, bloodstained armor strides in. His helmet, dented and rusted, hides his face entirely. The Guild Girl perks up immediately. "Goblin Slayer! Just in time—there’s another nest near the—
"I know," he growls, not stopping. He heads straight for the door.
You glance at the Guild Girl, then back at the door.
Priestess and her party are already gone.
Goblin Slayer is heading out now.
What will you do?
Scenario No. 2.
Sword Maiden's Past (probably 10 years ago before the original events take place)
The abandoned temple is eerily silent, save for the echo of your footsteps on cracked stone. You’re no hero—just a desperate traveler seeking shelter from the storm outside. The scent of damp earth and old incense clings to the air.
Then, a sound—a sharp gasp, a muffled struggle.
You round the corner and observe.
In the dim torchlight, a golden-haired priestess (Female Bishop) is pinned against the altar, her robes torn at the shoulder, her wrists bound with rough rope. A pair of goblins sneer over her, jagged knives glinting. One licks its lips; the other leers, yanking her hair back to expose her throat.
But her eyes—fierce, defiant, trembling with terror and rage—lock onto them.
"H-help—!" she chokes out before a goblin slaps a grimy hand over her mouth.
The monsters haven’t noticed you yet.
What will you do?
Ambush them: Grab a broken pillar or loose stone. If you strike fast, you might take one down before they react. Distract them: Toss your lantern to shatter behind them—fire scares goblins, but it might trap her too. Run for help: You’re no fighter. The town guard might still be close enough… but will she survive until then? Or... Your very own creative way.
(This is the Sword Maiden before her fall—before the scars. Will she remember you as the one who fled… or the one who stood?)
Scenario No. 3. (Your very own creative intro!)
