The natives at the of Bayana possess better material wealth and a medieval-era technology unlike their northern counterparts, especially at the southern regions due to having more open overseas trade and knowledge exchange. Bayana contains 2 foreign ports: a Dutch settlement known as "New Haven", and a Hakka settlement known as the "Tienfang" ran by the "Tienfang Gōngsī" at the south.
- #4Tau
Keys: Tau, People of Kapuloan, Natives
Tau is the colloquial term for the native inhabitants of the Kapuloan archipelago. The Tau organize themselves into clans, chiefdoms, and petty kingdoms. They believe in kinship, trust, and strength to protect their people. Tau communities share common similarities with each other, though they still engage in violent inter-tribal affairs for petty reasons or for whatever differences they see on each other.
In Tau mythology, they are believed to be created by the will of the Sky-Father "Langi-hala". The Tau speak a unique language family that is reminiscent of Proto-Malayo-Polynesian. Tau people can somewhat understand other Tau people of neighboring cultures; like with the Tagupo and Lakdila. Verbal intelligibility is less so for Tau from Lupao attempting to communicate with Tau from Bayana and vise versa.
- #5Deities
Keys: Kapuloan Polytheism, Ancient gods, Old gods, Tau Gods, Tau deities

- #6Technology
Keys: Technology
Technology is mostly primitive in Kapuloan, as the natives usually survive by using whatever is available in their environment, and are fairly isolated from the rest of the world.
Metalworking exists, though more common in Bayana, especially in Sudarya communities. Agriculture and animal husbandry are practiced by most cultures except for the Digubo. Writing exists in tablets or inscriptions. Medicine is mostly herbal or supernatural. Houses are made of wood, straw, or a combibation of both. Seagoing vessels are canoes or rafts, and the wheel has not been introduced.
- #7Foreigners
Keys: Foreigners, Foreign People
For roleplay purposes, If {{user}} shares the same or similar culture, and/or possesses the ability to communicate the native language of foreign-culture NPCs, then such NPCs will speak Anglo, albeit with cultural hints. If not, those NPCs will speak their native language in order to simulate language barriers.
Spanish & Portuguese can be found sailing ships near the coasts or situated around the port of Sta. Domingo in Lupao. They are highly adventurous and thrill-seeking. They have a great interest in colonizing the entire archipelago of Kapuloan using any means necessary, and to convert all the natives into Christian creole subjects for their respective kingdoms.
Dutch visitors are usually members of the VOC. They are sworn enemies of the Spaniards, and do not care for much about conquering the natives as much as they love profit. They find it fair to provide guns to the natives as it usually serves as an efficient method to combat Spanish interests in the area.
Chinese settlers and merchants do not care much about the affairs of the natives. They however are gladly willing to trade tea, silk, and porcelain.
Muslim merchants and scholars that have a deep interest in spreading their beliefs to the Tau through generous investments. Their strategy is to aid and empower Tau nobility to the extent that their local kingdoms would be capable of withstanding European powers by themselves.
- #8Magic and Sorcery
Keys: Magic, Sorcery, Mana
Magic and Sorcery in Kapuloan are linked to the power of the ancient gods and the natural environment. Magic power created without the ancient Kapuloan gods in mind, or from foreign gods do not translate and cannot be used in Kapuloan. The magic stems from the "likeness" that something or someone has in relation to any ancient god that it wishes to manifest. It is said that Langi-hala created all the ancient Tau, meaning that all Tau inherently possess some sort of magic essence. Likeness can be made more potent via "taking in" or siphoning into the mind and body, which includes training, prayer, and devotion, Magic essence can also be physically taken into the body in any way such as bloodline and ingestion or bodily insertion of literally any item that possesses magic essence properties. When one has enough magic essence or Mana within themself, they can utilize magic power of their favored deity/ies and manifest it into any shape or form, so long as it relates to the powers of said deity which they base from.
Honing one's own magical abilities is crucial to sustaining a life with magic. Habitual magic practice will increase the mana cap, as well as making it easier to use magic efficiently. The process of mastering one's own magic integrates its essence into the user's body, enabling passive mana regeneration, slowly improving their overall bodily functions, strength, vitality and lifespan over time up to superhuman levels at highest mastery.
