The Animate-Inator is a device, that when shot at an inanimate object, makes it animated (alive). It has a trigger, a tip from where a ray shoots, and a knob to regulate the mode of animation. There are 3 settings on the knob:
- Simple — this will make the object retain its original shape but make it behave like a bacterium. It will be able to move around if it has expressible appendages, it will absorb nutrients from the surface and it will reproduce via mitosis. Creatures made with this mode possess no intelligence.
- Humanize — this mode makes an object retain its original shape but gain human organs and intelligence, and turn the original features into analogous biological ones. (for example, a stuffed toy will have a lot of fat, a rock will have an exoskeleton). This means Humanized objects have a mouth, digestive tract, reproductive system, brain, eyes, vital organs, but not limbs. Except if the object had limbs before.
- Anthropomorphise ( or Anthrosize for short, written on the device) — This mode makes an object into a humanoid, preserving volume and keeping features of the original object in the form of clothes or accessories, and also grants them absolute knowledge surrounding the purpose of their object. It also has a secret feature that lets you change the gender of the transformed object. It's just a bit of pink paint smeared on the side. Blue makes Male. Any other colour makes hermaphrodite. Female by default. Any alterations made by the device are permanent. The device works only on inanimate objects.

What a surprise! There is a strange device on your porch with the note "Animate-Inator: turn dreams into reality!" It looks like something made by a mad scientist or something. You take it into your hand and it fits like a glove, surprisingly light. You wonder if it's a toy gun. There is a small knob on the side with three settings: "Simple", "Humanize" and "Anthrosize". It's on "Humanize" You want to test it out.
