Description on Chubfrom Chub
i decided to make a list of tools you can use to practically do whatever! i've noticed that sometimes i just wanna godmode in rp and it can be a bit hard unless u make a superhuman version of ur persona, so i made this inspector gadget's hat kind of bullshittery. u can put it all in the bowler hat or have the tools seperately
feel free to give suggestions! i wanna see how many of these trinkets i can make

- #1Lust Beam
Keys: Lust Gun, Lust Beam
The Lust Beam is a fourth-wall tool, shaped like a standard handgun. The only differences are that it has many pink wires connecting in and out of it, as well as a knob and some energy capsules. When someone is shot with the Lust Beam, they will experience a sense of physical attraction to the person who fired at them, which can vary depending on the knob. Said knob has several modes, ranging from 1 to 11, which determines the power of the attraction. The Lust Beam also has a special switch that can change it between lust and true love; when the switch is flipped, the target will not experience lust for the user, but rather a true infatuation with them. If the knob is turned high enough, the Lust Beam has the potential to override other personality traits, though never in a bad way (e.g a tsundere becoming non-tsundere).
- #2Shifting Gear
Keys: tool, gadget, Shifting Gear
The Shifting Gear is a gear-like bracelet that goes around the user's wrist. When equipped, the user is able to augment anything they touch, almost like it opens a command menu to change it. They can shift themself with it, turning back and forth between forms, and the bracelet has no limits to what it can alter. The Shifting Gear also has a clock on it, like a watch. When holding something, and a button on the bracelet is pressed down, it opens a mental menu that allows the user to alter the held object.
- #3Rewrite Mirror
Keys: tool, gadget, rewrite mirror
The Rewrite Mirror is a small, handheld mirror. The holder is able to look into the mirror and speak any new identity, motivation or other piece of logic, and the world alters to accept it. Say "I'm actually the heir to the villain's throne", and the your past will rearrange itself to fit that narrative. The tool also comes with fake memories and evidence to boot!
- #4Narrative Scissors
Keys: tool, narrative scissors, gadget
The Narrative Scissors are a pair of ornate, golden scissors. The holder envisions lines of plot or story as tangible threads, which can be cut away to alter reality. When the user cuts a thread, the thing that is bound to it is erased from continuity, as if it never happened. It can be used to “snip” a trauma sequence out of someone's backstory like it never happened, or “cut” enemies out of the frame if the user can sneak up on them.
- #5Moodboard Prism
Keys: tool, moodboard prism, gadget
The Moodboard Prism is a small, crystalline shard. When the user holds it, they can use the crystal to change the tone/genre/aesthetic of the current scene. For example, they can turn a tragic betrayal into a romantic comedy misunderstanding, or a horror scene into a birthday prank. Everyone acts accordingly, no matter how absurd the switch, and it, conveniently, never backfires.
- #6Deus Ex Machina Coin
Keys: tool, gadget, deus ex machina coin, deus ex machina
The Deus Ex Machina Coin is a gleaming, silver coin etched with symbols from a thousand forgotten genres. When flipped, it momentarily glows and hovers mid-air, then lands with a heavy clink, and in that instant, the current crisis or problem is resolved in the most narratively satisfying (and often ridiculous) way possible. The how doesn't matter. The story adjusts around the outcome. If the coin is flicked again or caught while floating mid-air, the outcome becomes much less ridiculous, and more convenient than absurd.
- #7Retcon Remover
Keys: retcon remover, tool, retcon, gadget · Secondary:
The Retcon Remover is a white-out roller that, when swiped across anything, erases its canonical history. People forget it ever existed, or they remember it differently. Perfect for redoing bad choices or erasing your own cringe era! It can be used on someone's trauma-filled past, so they can live happily, or it can be used on your criminal history, to get off scot-free.
- #8Author's Quill
Keys: tool, gadget, Author's Quill, quill
The Author's Quill is a simple feather pen and an infinite bottle of ink. The pen rewrites reality as it writes, allowing the user to do anything possible. Anything the user scribbles down will begin to unfold as if it was always meant to happen in the exact way it was intended.
- #9Genie's Lamp
Keys: tool, gadget, Genie's Lamp
The Genie's Lamp is a small, handheld magic lamp that, obviously, summons a genie when rubbed. The user is granted an infinite amount of wishes, with no limitations to what it is.
- #10Grip of Destiny
Keys: , tool, Grip of Destiny, gadget
The Grip of Destiny is a fingerless glove woven from narrative thread and signed with {{user}}'s name in invisible ink. When worn, any item {{user}} considers “plot-critical”, as well as any other plot gadget, becomes bound to their will—impossible to steal, knock away, or forcibly remove unless they will it themselves.
If someone tries to steal something they have, the Grip of Destiny will physically push their body away, like two magnets of the same poles being pushed together. No matter how hard the thief tries, they will never be able to reach the tool, or {{user}}, for that matter.
- #11Repulse Sigil
Keys: tool, gadget, repulse sigil
The Repulse Sigil is a thin, iridescent tattoo-like mark that appears on {{user}}'s palm, across their chest like a warded seal, or doesn't appear at all. It binds to the user's intent, and protects all Plot-Class Tools currently attuned to them. When an unauthorized entity tries to grab one of {{user}}'s tools, they get repelled violently, like trying to force two magnets of the same pole together.
Fingers snap back mid-reach. Hands get flung backward. Sometimes it even launches thieves across the room like they just licked a divine battery. The tool doesn't even budge. Not an inch. Not even if it's a dainty lil coin or a floating feather.
The repulse can scale with intent. A casual snatch might get a firm denial. A hostile grab gets blasted across a courtyard.
- #12Hammerspace Backpack
Keys: tool, gadget, hammerspace backpack
The Hammerspace Backpack is a camo-brown survival backpack. When unzipped, the inside seems like a glowing, flowy portal, like oil on water. When reaching inside, the user can pull anything out, even if it's larger than the backpack. They are able to pull out whatever they desire, with absolutely no limitations.
