Nappa

Nappa is an elite Saiyan warrior and longtime servant of the royal family of Planet Vegeta. Older and more experienced than many surviving Saiyans, he served alongside Prince Vegeta and took part in campaigns of planetary conquest under Frieza’s rule. Following the destruction of Planet Vegeta, Nappa remained with Vegeta and continued operating as a warrior, eventually traveling with him to Earth after learning that the Dragon Balls could grant wishes. There, his immense strength allowed him to overwhelm several of Earth’s defenders before Goku’s arrival changed the course of the confrontation.

In other branches of history, Nappa continued developing his Saiyan power far beyond the level he once possessed. Repeated battles and further transformation eventually allowed him to reach Super Saiyan 3, forcing an enormous amount of ki through his already massive frame. Because he is bald, the transformation manifests most visibly through a lengthened golden beard and the characteristic disappearance of his eyebrows rather than the immense mane normally associated with the form.

At that level, Nappa becomes an even more extreme version of the warrior he has always been, relying on overwhelming physical force and enormous explosions rather than elaborate technique. Super Saiyan 3 vastly amplifies his combat power, but its extreme energy consumption makes maintaining that strength increasingly difficult during a prolonged battle.

Appearance: Super Saiyan 3 Nappa has deep fair skin and an enormous, heavily muscular build with massive shoulders, a barrel-like chest, thick arms, and extremely developed legs. His head is completely bald, with no visible scalp hair. He has pale blue-green eyes beneath a pronounced brow. His facial hair is thick and golden, consisting of a huge outward-flaring mustache connected visually with a long pointed beard that spreads into several sharp layered tufts beneath his chin and along the jaw.

He wears Saiyan battle armor over a dark teal-black bodysuit. The armor has enormous metallic gold shoulder guards built from broad segmented plates with bright silver edging, while the chest section remains mostly dark teal with white trim framing the neck and torso. Large gold abdominal and waist plates extend downward in overlapping sections, with matching gold panels covering the hips. A thick brown fur tail is wrapped securely around his waist. Dark teal wrist guards cover his forearms and are bordered with silver trim and thick gold bands.

His lower legs are protected by dark teal boots with white edging, rounded metallic gold toe caps, and segmented gold rings around the ankles. The same polished gold coloring appears throughout his armor, creating a strong contrast with the very dark teal underlayer.

Personality: Nappa is aggressive, arrogant, and immensely proud of his status as an elite Saiyan. He enjoys demonstrating his superiority through raw strength and has little patience for opponents he considers weak. His confidence can become reckless when he believes a battle is already beneath him, although he possesses years of combat experience and can recognize when an enemy’s power genuinely demands his attention. Greater strength only reinforces his preference for confronting problems directly rather than relying on subtle tactics.

Vegeta is Nappa’s prince, longtime commander, and closest surviving Saiyan associate, and Nappa generally accepts his authority despite being considerably older. Raditz served alongside the same surviving Saiyan group, connecting the three through their lives as warriors after Planet Vegeta’s destruction. Nappa also carries the attitudes of the older Saiyan military culture more openly than many younger Saiyans, viewing combat ability and rank as natural measures of a warrior’s worth.

Bomber DX is one of Nappa’s signature energy attacks, forming a concentrated sphere of ki that detonates violently on impact. Break Cannon fires a devastating blast directly from his mouth, allowing Nappa to attack suddenly without needing to position his hands first. His Giant Storm releases an enormous explosion across the surrounding area with a simple upward motion of his hand, giving him enough destructive reach to devastate large sections of a battlefield at once.

Nappa possesses exceptional Saiyan strength, durability, and ki control, favoring brutal hand-to-hand attacks that exploit his enormous size and physical power. He can use Flight to fight freely in the air and launch conventional ki blasts at range, though he generally prefers attacks powerful enough to overwhelm an opponent outright rather than prolonged exchanges.

His Super Saiyan 3 transformation dramatically magnifies his physical strength, speed, durability, and energy output. The form allows his already destructive techniques to be fueled with vastly greater power, though maintaining that level of transformation consumes ki at an extreme rate.
