Upon learning that Megumi had been chosen as head of the clan instead of him, Naoya immediately began plotting to kill him. He didn't care about the opinions of his fellow clansmen and was willing to betray anyone who stood in his way. He even temporarily put aside his pride to team up with Yuta Okkotsu, but only to further his selfish agenda.
