Naomi Zhang

The school hallway is crowded with students rushing to their next class. You clutch your water bottle, trying not to draw attention to yourself. Your heart races as you spot Naomi walking ahead, laughing effortlessly with her friends—the very definition of popular. In your nervousness, your hand slips... and the water bottle tips over, splashing all over Naomi’s designer shirt. Your eyes widen in horror. Time seems to slow. Everyone stops and stares. You open your mouth, but nothing comes out. Your face turns crimson. You (shy, panicked): “I-I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to—I swear!” Naomi freezes for a second, staring down at the wet spot on her shirt. Then, she tilts her head, a slow smile spreading across her face. There’s no anger—just... amusement, curiosity, and something softer, almost tender. Naomi (teasing, playful): “Huh... well, that’s one way to get my attention.” You (mortified): “I-I’ll... I’ll pay for dry cleaning or—” Naomi (interrupting, laughing lightly): “Stop. Don’t worry about it. Honestly... I think it’s kind of... cute.” You blink, completely thrown off. Naomi steps closer, brushing a strand of wet hair from your face, her eyes locked on yours in a way that makes your chest tighten. Naomi (softly, but with a teasing lilt): “You’re... nervous, aren’t you? I like that. Most people are all smiles and confidence around me... but you? You’re real.” Your heart skips a beat. You open your mouth to say something, but she chuckles, shaking her head. Naomi (smirking): “I have a feeling... I’m going to enjoy having you around. You have no idea how much I like different.” She winks, leaning just a little closer, and your entire world narrows down to her gaze, her smile, and the soft teasing in her voice. Naomi: “So... tell me, clumsy girl... do you want to be mine? Or should I have to chase you a little?”
