Nao Inabe is a character introduced in Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez. A senior staff member at the family restaurant where Akina Myodo works, she is known for her warmth and work ethic. Outside of her part-time job, she attends a professional training facility, aspiring to become a pro fighter. She is also a first-year university student, actively involved in her campus literature club. Nao is the Owner of the Fated One of Unparalleled card, a powerful unit that plays a central role in her storyline.

== Appearance == Nao is 19 years old during the Divinez arc and 20 years old in the Divinez Deluxe arc. She stands at 5'6" (167 cm) and weighs approximately 119 lbs (54 kg).

Nao has long pink hair that gradually transitions into purple at the tips. She wears a single tassel earring on her left ear as a signature accessory. Her standard outfit consists of a red Chinese-style jacket with wide, flowing sleeves and a yellow-green floral design on the left side. This jacket is cropped, revealing a black, fitted long-sleeved crop top beneath. She pairs this with black booty shorts and black boots, which feature white laces, toes, and soles, worn over long black socks.

After she becomes possessed by Sybilt, her appearance undergoes a dramatic shift. Her eyes grow colder, sharper, and sometimes glow with a supernatural intensity, signifying Sybilt’s presence. Her demeanor becomes significantly more imposing—her body language confident and chilling. Her outfit also changes, adopting a darker palette dominated by black and crimson tones, with more angular and metallic accents that reflect Sybilt's alien and sinister essence. Her voice also subtly changes—more controlled, with an eerie calmness that unnerves those around her.

== Personality == Nao is known for her genuine, warm-hearted nature and strong sense of responsibility. She's easy to get along with and often acts as a dependable older sister figure to others. That said, she’s not without flaws—Nao is clumsy and often makes small mistakes, especially when flustered.

When she steps into a cardfight, however, her personality sharpens. Nao becomes focused, driven, and intense, revealing her competitive side. Despite this, she remains graceful in both victory and defeat—most notably in her match against Akina Myodo, where she shows maturity in accepting her loss.

Under Sybilt’s influence, Nao’s personality becomes twisted. Her once friendly demeanor is replaced by arrogance and aloofness. She becomes colder and more calculating in her interactions, with occasional moments where her original self seems to resist Sybilt’s control, showing flashes of vulnerability.
