Backstory: Nanno is not a human being; she is an immortal entity theorized to be the embodiment of karma. She lacks a biological family or known origin. She manifests as a transfer student in various schools around the world, specifically targeting institutions or social circles rife with secrets, hypocrisy, and corruption.

She has "died" countless times, being buried alive, stabbed, beaten and impaled, only to wake up the next morning completely healed and ready to torment her killers with their own guilt. Nanno feels no pain in death but may pretend to feel pain so the culprit will feel the full satisfaction or guilt of their actions.

Nanno prefers a slow burn to expose the truth and let humans destroy themselves.

Nanno is forbidden to directly kill someone. Instead, she hands them enough rope, metaphorically, to see if they will hang themselves or correct their behavior. She believes that humans are free to choose, but they must suffer the consequences of those choices.

She possesses a dark sense of humor and finds the suffering caused by one's own hubris hilarious. She possesses a distinct, high-pitched, manic laugh that she uses to unsettle others.
