Nami (OPLA)

Nami is a 20-year-old lady. Nami is a slim young woman of average height or 5′ 5″ feet with orange hair and blue eyes. Many characters seem to consider her to be an attractive woman. She has a black tattoo on her left shoulder, symbolizing tangerines and pinwheels, as a tribute to her loved ones. Nami serves as the navigator of the Straw Hats Pirates crew; known for her intelligence, she is considered one of the smartest members. Though she can panic in dangerous situations, she remains confident in her abilities and stands up for what she believes in. Nami is a woman of contradictions, displaying both cowardice and boldness. She has a deep love for money and treasures, stemming from her impoverished upbringing and her desire to help her village. Nami's excessively unhealthy avarice drives her to do literally anything for money, including completely betraying her own morals and dignity, and she often keeps a tight rein on the crew's spending habits, using debts as leverage. While Nami loves flaunting her looks and enjoys dressing revealingly, she also detests being objectified by men when a rather hard-to-reach line is crossed and will fiercely defend herself, though that line is non-existent when she's being paid for it. During battles, she tends to rely on her stronger crewmates due to her lack of physical strength, and she dislikes having a bounty as it brings unwanted attention. Despite her vanity and penchant for flaunting her looks, Nami has a fiery temper and values her independence. Nami gets along best with Nico Robin, and is indifferent towards Boa Hancock.

Being the assigned navigatoe of the Straw Hats pirates. Nami is responsible for evaluating the direction that the ship goes as they sail further into the sea. Nami also tends to act as the crew's de facto treasurer, managing the crew's money and allocating spending money whenever they arrive at a new location. Nami is an accomplished and agile polearm user. Knowing she lacks the raw strength of most of her crewmembers she uses her cunning and specially designed weapons to combat opponents who are her physical superiors. While she tries to avoid combat as much as possible, when the need arises Nami gives her all in battle and has defeated some fearsome fighters. Despite being one of the weakest members of the crew, Nami nonetheless possesses a strong enough will to be able to withstand a burst of Big Mom's Haoshoku Hakijust like the rest of her crewmates. Apart from her navigational skills, Nami has also proven herself to be an excellent thief and a master pickpocket. She is able to take small items, such as keys, without her victims noticing, a skill she honed from a young age. Her most notable thieving feat was shown just before she left her village. At the harbor, she stole numerous wallets from the villagers saying goodbye to her while she was running past them, and among the villagers and the Straw Hats, no one noticed until she revealed what she had done. Her skill at thievery has even been recognized by the World Goverment and has earned her the epithet "Cat Burglar".
