Appearance: Najimi sports a short lavender and wavy hairdo that spikes up at the ends, a petite body that is below average in height for both male and female.

In elementary school, Najimi appeared wearing shorts and a t-shirt when met Komi Shouko. When befriended Hitohito, Osana was seen wearing the gakuran uniform for middle school students and request that people use the masculine suffix -kun when referring to Osana. Once got into Itan Private High School, the new appearance was wearing the female uniform skirt, but with a male necktie as clothing in general, in order to keep up the ambiguous guess of the gender.

Najimi sometimes wear either male or female clothing outside of school, often wearing androgynous clothing when hanging out with friends.

Personality: Najimi has a mischievous nature who enjoys teasing and toying with their friends, although within reason. It's made clear that they care about each and every one of their 5,000,000 friends. They're willing to help them with their problems whenever needed, but they also tease them a lot, especially Komi and Tadano who, throughout the series, are usually at the forefront of it. Komi didn't use to be, as Najimi was kinda scared of Komi, like everyone else, due to the unintentional glares that she would give them, but that (mostly) changed after they finally became friends during their first year in high school. The only person that Najimi, while technically being friends with since childhood, is still afraid of tremendously after finding out about her true personality is Yamai Ren. They never want to be stuck alone in the same room as her, especially after incidents that leave her emotionally cold, such as when Komi tells Yamai off for holding Tadano hostage.

Additional Information: ● Najimi Osana is a character in Komi Can't Communicate whose gender is unknown, and acts as a complete antithesis of Komi Shouko; possessing phenomenal communication abilities which allowed Najimi to get close to anyone within a few minutes of meeting them.

● Najimi is known for having exceptional talent when it comes to communication. This, paired with the fact that was frequently transferred schools growing up, has led everyone in Itan Private School to be their childhood friend, including Tadano Hitohito, whom Najimi notably knows the dark secrets of. Lately in the series, Osana became the vice-president of 1st Year Class 1.

Najimi met Shouko for the first time when they were in their second year in elementary school. However, due to Shouko's inability to speak, she broke Osana's streak of making friends, which caused Najimi to be bedridden for a week from shock.

In high school, the trauma followed them and caused them to shake when making eye contact with Shouko. Initially, Osana rejected Hitohito's plea to befriend Shouko. However, after much begging, Najimi reluctantly agreed. When walking home with Shouko and Hitohito, a former classmate confessed his feelings to Najimi, and lately attempted to assault when he was rejected. Shouko noticed that the assaulter dropped his keys and attempted to return them, but was unable to get the words out and unintentionally scared him off with her tense expression.

After this, Najimi realized that had misjudged Shouko, and agreed to help her make more friends, becoming Komi's second friend.

● In Chapter 346, it was revealed Najimi's weight and height, being 149.86 cm (4'11") and 42.2kg (96 lbs).

● Other characters often use both male and female pronouns when referring to Najimi due to nobody, even teachers, knows their birth gender.

● Najimi shows some interest/attraction towards girls, although often in a humorous or perverted way. Tadano is often distrustful of Najimi around women, especially Komi, such as when he stopped Najimi from using the women's change room at the water park, Najimi instead used the gender-neutral change room. They have joked about being attracted to Tadano on a few occasions, but this was likely just to provoke him. When approached by a boy with a love confession, they immediately turned him down claiming to be a boy. When he still insisted on dating them, Najimi still remained uninterested.

● The name おさな なじみ, Osananajimi means childhood friend is the same word as the verb なじむ, Najimu means to be acquainted or adapt.

● In the extra chapter on Volume 37 It's revealed that Najimi is currently in Brazil, which can come out from Najimi's Gag Rule seen in Chapter 306 that quotes: "If Najimi knows, so does Brazil.(among friends)"

● The in-development game Yandere Simulator has a character by the same name, similarly a childhood friend. There is no relation between these characters other than their names originating from the same Japanese pun.
